I read a lot about this place and went with high hopes. First impression, beautiful facility, all decorated for Christmas. We were seated right away but the waitor seemed to be very new to his job and wasnt able to answer any questions or give recommendations. We got the fried green tomatoes for appetizers. It was delicious but the cheese was not necessary in my opinion. I was really looking forward to the“shrimp and grits” but was disappointed by the sweet taste of the sauce. Maybe it’s just me but I haven’t tasted sugar in my Shrimp and grits before. Overall I would rate the food three stars but ambiance a four star. Service three stars.

Everything was wonderful! I had the shrimp and grits and loved the spicey sausage and huge shrimp. The warm French bread was delicious to dip in the gravy. I had the vanilla crème brûlée that was perfect end to the meal. The service was outstanding. Not only was the waitress very attentive but the owner came to my table several times. They had a large private party going on, but I had no wait at all for my dinner. If I lived near here this would certainly be my favorite restaurant to visit often!

Too bad the«best» restaurant is closed on a Saturday AND during the Festival of Flowers and there was no indication.

If you want fine dining in Greenwood, this is my pick. Great menu with an apparent real chef. I’ve never been displeased with a meal here. I’d recommend a menu item, but I usual select the chefs special. Pascal also sources local products giving his meals a unique appeal. Great for a romantic evening or intimate get dinner with close friends.

This is a small, intimate restaurant with an Interesting and exciting menu. The service is impeccable and the food is memorable. The crab cakes with their delicious tomato preserves are to die for! The shrimp and grits are the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve eaten shrimp and grits all over the Southeast. Pascal is a gifted chef, and Greenwood is lucky to have him!

Food: 5 stars Ambience: 5 stars Service: 5 stars I was surprised about the variety here. They can have French-inspired dishes or southern inspired dishes. Highly recommend. We had for entrees the butte milk green tomatoes, hush puppies, roasted pepper tomato soup: all good Main courses: shrimp and grits, the pork, the Tina and the torte mile and hot links: my favorite was the shrimp and grits. Desert: crème brûlée, pecan pie and chocolate molten lava cake: all good. Don’t pay attention to the Frenchie’ review! This place is absolutely worth it!!!

A spot you will regularly see me perched on the porch with a glass of wine enjoying a fabulous meal with friends. Pascal and Lisa(owners) are top notch and their ever changing menu is consistently fabulous. When we entertain clients this is a winner and everyone leaves satisfied and impressed. We may be a small town but we have a big city 5 star chef here! Great date night destination or evening out with friends! You will enjoy the food, atmosphere and have a memorable evening. I promise.

Food was ok but pricey. I expected better for the price but i may go back to try some of the other dishes. Had the lamb shank but ive prepared better myself. The fried oysters were good.

A wonderful restaurant which is exactly what it claims to be — an American– French café and bistro. The food is well prepared and the menu changes frequently. Is the food haute French cuisine? No, but it doesn’t claim to be. Is it a good place to have a very good meal at a reasonable price(I don’t know where the people are eating who complain of it being overpriced normally eat, but your average meal at Outback will cost more…), absolutely! Highly recommended.

This place is a wonderful Greenwood restaurant that we have patronized for the past 10+ years. Pascal is a talented French chef that is extremely creative. His wife Lisa, makes sure that your dining experience is superb, and service is always above par. Go and enjoy this restaurant for a truly wonderful dining experience.

If I could give ½ a star I would. Maybe less. Let’s start with the ambience. Lovely old home, decorated nicely. Acoustics — terrible. Hard wood floors, high ceilings make conversation impossible. If there is a larger group the noise is almost unbearable. If you a looking for a quiet or romantic evening, think again. The waitstaff is friendly and accomplished. It is overpriced. We are French. We have traveled in France. Never had a bad meal in France at any level or price range of dining. This food is not inedible but it is inconsistent. I have been here and had a great steak and a wonderful butternut squash in browned butter ravioli. I have also had a gummy, thick pasty lobster ravioli — over sauced. The hanger steak comes with no warning — it should say this steak is as chewy as shoe leather. When you complain about the food, the owner is belligerent. Stand warned and we will not return.

Wow. Really not sure how anyone could dislike Pascal’s, but, based upon the review, it seems that they tried to pigeonhole it as a «French bistro». The place is self-described as a French-American bistro-style restaurant with a southern flair, so as long as you don’t walk in with any preconceived notions, you’ll most likely enjoy your experience there immensely. Granted, I used to work at the place, so I’m a bit biased, but I’ve never heard anyone describe Pascal’s as «pretentious and stuffy». There are locals that frequent Pascal’s who come from wealthy families and definitely have their entitlement issues, but even in the most extreme cases, they still aren’t aren’t bad folks to hang out with, and certainly aren’t capable of ruining the warm and charming atmosphere of Pascal’s — the place has three separate rooms and an outdoor porch(which I absolutely recommend this time of year), and most nights end with the bar area being full of laughter. And as far as cost — check out the menu online( ); it changes often, but most entrees are less than $ 20. So, for the price of a meal at Outback, you’re getting a unique meal that’s been meticulously prepared from scratch — hardly too expensive. In fact, during my time there, I had a number of people from all over the world(generally in town for business or The Masters golf tournament) comment that they couldn’t believe what they were eating for the price they were paying…“and in Greenwood, of all places!” One gentleman mentioned that«back home»(for him, the fashion district in New York) his meal would have cost him $ 60 or $ 70(he spent about $ 35), and was beside himself in his enthusiasm for Pascal’s — he dined there every night of his stay in Greenwood. Bottom line, the food is fantastic, the atmosphere is inviting, and, for the price, you’ll be lucky to find anything close to its value anywhere else — that’s why I’ve given Pascal’s five stars. I dine there with my parents every time I visit Greenwood, and, even though we once had a rather slow waiter, we’ve never had anything but great dining experiences.

Claims to be a french bistro but this is hardly french food. Im French, and this food is just like the people that patronize it… Fattening and unhealthy. No french flav here. People seem impressed with themselves here… Quite pretentious and stuffy place to be. Too expensive for what you got. Our waiter was very nice… spoke french, and very professional… but thats about it.

One of the nicer spots in Greenwood, this place has some surprisingly well prepared food. The service is always on point. First place I had lamb chops and they were so perfect. They’ve got some pretty standard fair in terms of seafood and meat but they turn it out well and if you’re looking for a nice date spot in Greenwood, you might try this spot.
