In terms of Central Indy Goodwills: Not bad, but not amazing. I find some nice clothes and household items sometimes, but the furniture seems pretty pricey.

So who doesn’t like a good deal? When I was younger we used to go to goodwill for all of the necessities (stories of growing up poor). But is it just me or are their prices getting higher and higher and higher??? I mean come on. The CEO is one of the highest paid non-​profit CEO’s around and people drop off stuff all time. I need a reason to pay so much for used goods.

Although I do miss the old store (more for the memories of sweet, sweet thrifting) I have to admit, their new building is waay waay better! It’s clean, much more organized, much larger, and has like double the selection of books before. In general I’m a huge fan of Goodwills everywhere, I can spend hours looking, hoping to get that perfect find.
This location has a pretty good record and book collection, plus on occasion, I find some pants that are talls (when I’m really lucky!). Every week there is a different color on sale (half off) and the first Saturday of the month is mass chaos as everything in the store is half off. Who can resist a sale like that! Plus if you sign up for the rewards program you get $ 5 off a $ 25 purchase like every other month. Win!

Usually bring donations once a week, and there is always someone outside to greet me. The places is always busy and has a good selection. I dropped a star on the rating however because I’ve noticed an usually high mark up lately especially on furniture items, but overall a great value

Dropped out a few donations after my wedding. The employees were helpful and I love the carport for the donations area. Its a bit out of my way, but I will visit sometime soon for shopping.

This is a pretty nice goodwill its usually not crazy busy they seem to have a lot of merchandise. I always see staff coming out with new donations and the racks are always full.

This Goodwill is really hit-​or-​miss when it comes to selection. I usually stop in to kill time and look at the furniture or ugly Christmas sweaters. They really need more floor-​space. I know they receive more donations than the other local locations that get distributed. Weekend evenings everything is usually picked-​through or gone.

This a pretty, pretty good Goodwill on the Southside. It’s the distribution center for most of Indy, so they usually have a ton of stuff. Driving out here is only feasible when I am in Greenwood and even then it’s past the mall. Ugh!

I want to tell you this Goodwill has the best stuff on the Southside, but I don’t want you to get all of the goodies before I do! This is where I find all of my deals.

This is a good sized Goodwill. They have a pretty good selection of all kinds of things. The things you find here are mostly from the Greenwood/​Center Grove area.
