Chef owner was fun and personable. He definitely suggests items off the menu and the Indian was good with just enough spiciness. He’s been doing this over a quarter of a century and his skill shows. I would highly recommend the samosas, total yum! Good sauces, nice relishes. Nan decent. Definitely order the eggplant appetizer with yogurt sauce. So good, you won’t be disappointed!

This guy is an drunk asshole … He also makes his food three weeks in advance and freezes it and serves it to people three weeks later. I know you may expect his food to be good for Greenwood SC but if you have been to actual good Indian places outside of Greenwood or even out of state you would realize his food is actually mediocre at best.

Tired of the typical fare, my husband and I happened across this place in our search for something different. This has to be the most personable experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. We were greeted and sat by the owner. He took our order, gave suggestions and explained the dishes. He prepared everything fresh and when he brought it to us, explained how it’s eaten in his culture. We enjoyed everything we had– Burmese rolls, samosas, tandoori chicken, beef curry, and chicken curry. The basmati rice was fragrant and lovely. I especially loved the chutneys. After dinner we enjoyed conversing with him, he’s very humorous! We found his frankness refreshing. I highly recommend dining there! We’ve already made plans to return next week! (The Lowe’s)

I didn’t know Greenwood had an Indian restaurant. This place is nice inside. House turned into restaurant. We were greeted and seated promptly. The owner gave us a little history of the place and his previous restaurant which explains the Italian cuisine on the menu. I ordered the Tandoori chicken with chicken curry. Both were delicious. It comes with basmati rice and Samosa. If you are in Greenwood and have a taste for some curry try this place out. I’ll have to order something from their Italian menu next time.

It was just ok, when I arrived there is no direction or hostess to assist and I wanted almost 20 minutes to place a to-go order. While the food was good, I ordered the Lamb Curry, my main concern was the whole spices that are used. Several times I found myself biting into a whole clove or other whole spice. This of course took away from the entire meal and made for a bad experience. I have friends that have dined here regularly and they enjoy it. I would recommend you try it and judge for yourself.

Probably the best Indian food in the Southeast. Absolutely amazing. However, the owner is a rude, pompous drunk. He relishes in condescending. Don’t even think of taking a child. I’ve witnessed him chastising a couple for bringing their very well behaved toddler daughter. He made an embarrassing scene when they came in telling them their«kid» better behave or they’d be asked to leave! Don’t go!

This is one of the best places to eat for any occasion in Greenwood. Danish is now offering his indo-pak cuisine everyday and it’s absolutely delicious.
