So I found myself officially needing to get fitted for a proper running shoe. I’ve always heard good things about this place so it was time to check it out. Staff was super helpful and nice. They put me on the treadmill… which is creaky. Put me on a run to video my stride and recommended some shoes. They let me try them out on the treadmill to get a feel for the shoe. I was sold on a brand I’ve never worn but have been super comfortable on my feet since. Would go back!

Went to The Running Company a couple weeks back to finally upgrade from my ratty old tennis shoes. So glad I did! I spent more than I ever have on a pair of gym shoes, but the $ 130 was well worth it. The staff is well-trained and knowledgeable. If you’re in for a new pair of shoes, they’ll have you run on a treadmill so they can analyze your gait and match you with shoes that have the appropriate support and stability. They will also let you hop back on the treadmill or run around outside with the shoes that you are considering purchasing, rather than just meander about the store and try to figure out if they’ll be comfortable for running. The store is expensive, but it seems like their prices are the same as what you would pay for the same pair of shoes at the manufacturer’s website or at another store. The Running Company only carries the best/newest shoes from each brand, and you won’t find a pair under $ 75 here. So if you want to only spend $ 60, go inside the mall to the Finish Line. But if you really care about your feet, go to the pros and get a high quality pair of kicks at The Running Company.
