Their coffee drinks are amazing iced tea drinks, don’t bother.

This is a Dazbog inside of a hotel. It’s up on the second floor so you have to search a bit to get to it, but when you do it’s completely worth it. The barista made my vanilla latte to die for. He was super friendly, and seemed to enjoy what he was doing. It’s handy that this is next door to my work.

I need this most excellent coffee to not be offered in the middle of a Doubletree Hotel. It is, however, making the garnering of said coffee more than a dramatic affair. I have to park on the lower level, haul myself up the stairs, seek out the stand and order my cup of joe amidst and among nine thousand restless suits. But the thing is? I totally do. Because Dazbog coffee is better than all other coffee I’ve had in Denver, and that means something. I’ve recently found another, much more laptop-friendly Dazbog on Parker and Arapahoe, which is where I tend to visit. But in a pinch? When I need a fix and I need it now? This totally weird hotel coffee shop place will do. Sort of.

It seems I must have interrupted the barista, she didn’t seemed too happy this morning. I needed a quick bite and drink so I tried this coffee shop located in my hotel. It seemed to be open, but no one was around. I tried to find a hotel person to ask if it was open, but no luck there either. Eventually Miss Sunshine came out from the back and asked what I wanted. White Chocolate Mocha & Lemon Poppy seed bread for me. The lemon poppy seed bread was wrapped up which made me think it wasn’t necessarily baked fresh this morning. Whatever, I was hungry. It was a big slice, so +1 there. Turns out it wasn’t bad at all. At most, it had probably only been there 1 – 2 days waiting for me. It was still moist and soft. My white chocolate mocha was pretty tasty as well. The place has a Russian theme, so maybe the barista’s attitude is tied to the marketing gimmick. «In Mother Russia, we don’t smile and act annoyed with the Americans.» Regardless of the ‘tude, she made a nice cup of mocha. Three stars for the coffee and food. Work on the customer service and we’ll have a winner.
