Maria has colored my hair for over 30 years — I have followed her through her career and was so happy she finally opened her own salon! Her talented staff of stylists always give an amazing cut — love Bora! and the best shampoos — so relaxing — and now they have all new washing stations that are so comfortable.

I came here for a haircut and it is the worst haircut I’ve ever had and the most expensive one too (three times than what I usually pay for). When I walked in, it was very overwhelming. The salon and staff looked very professional and clean. They had many clients in during the time I arrived. I had high hopes for this place. However their salon chairs are not suitable for long hair because they are not adjustable. So if you have long hair, expect to be standing up. Their hair washing station is not comfortable either because the neck rest is very hard and the seat is so low.
They gave me a junior stylist and she did a terrible job overall. I was in need of a trim but I wanted to keep my length and layers. The lady who was cutting my hair did not seem like she knew the proper cutting techniques or simply did not know how to cut layers. My ends are not layered but they are not straight either. They are literally different lengths everywhere. Other stylists I’ve been to cut layers horizontally and vertically whereas she was cutting horizontally only! She did not check to make sure each side was even length either. She gave me «layers» but sectioned my hair wrong too. My hairline is to the side but she moved and cut my hair as if I wear my hairline in the middle. For the bangs, she trimmed them very unevenly since she just combed it to the side and started to cut horizontally. I have never had my bangs cut like this. As for the back, layers are suppose to give a «V» shape but I did not get a V shape and she did not show me how my back looked at all. When I got home, I found a «W» shape instead! Throughout the entire session, she needed specific instructions of what I wanted exactly and could not put any input in. It seemed like she wanted to get the haircut done and over with and move on.
Overall, I feel like my money was being wasted here, now I am in need another haircut and I would not recommend a haircut by a junior stylist here.

Had my color with Maria Livesay, owner. She was very nice & pleasant until she screwed up my hair. Highlights looked horrible, like stripes with top and bottom being different in color. When I frantically tried to come in for her to fix it, she was rude, unapologetic and cold. Told me she had other appointments and couldn’t squeeze me in. I got up and walked out in tears. Had to go elsewhere to fix it.
