Just finished a two hour lunch at Grillmarks. After we ordered it took an hour and a half to deliver a hamburger, three sliders and a basket of fries for the two of us. The fries showed up 10 minutes after the burger and were sent back because they were cold and soggy. Our burgers were over cooked as well. Great setting but I won’t be eating here ever again.

After a swim meet in town came here for a nice reward. Big juicy burger and incredible milk shakes and we were not disappointed. Went with the Old Markdonald Burger and upgraded to the dry aged beef was my first time have that. It was a well worth it experience. It was leaner and more flavorful. Almost wish I had held the BBQ sauce so I could taste more of the beef. But the whole burger was wonderful either way. My son had the freaky heath bar shake and it was enormous and he finished the whole thing. Service was very good and the manager did a great job checking on us. Go here!

I loved this place! The Hawaiian Punch burger is probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Everything was nice and fresh and the staff was friendly. It’s a pretty busy place so some people had to wait a bit but I think it’s totally worth it. The only thing that bothered me was where our seats were, there are two rows of tables when you first walk in and it’s kind of cramped to the point where our servers had a hard time getting through and customers were awkwardly trying to shimmy around other people trying to eat. But based on the food and ambience this place is definitely something worth trying!

I had high hopes for this restaurant but unfortunately it didn’t deliver. Walked in on 6÷25÷16 and instead of being greeted, the hostess just stared at us. Waited 30 minutes for a table at 10 pm. No one was waiting in front of us and about 2/3rds of the restaurant was empty. Truffle fries were delivered cold. Burgers were good but again too cold to be enjoyable. Had to request items like napkins, silverware, and drink refills. With the number of restaurants in the area, I won’t be trying this one again.

If you have Celiac disease or some kind of gluten intolerance, this place is incredible. Almost the entire menu is gluten free and does so without sacrificing quality. It’s been over a year since I had onion rings. You just can’t get them anywhere, but Grill Marks has them. Gluten free fried pickles? Yes, please! All of the fried stuff was awesome(all the non-Celiacs said so too) and the burger was very good. I think the gluten free bun should be toasted, just so the texture works better, but I’ll ask for that next time. They were slow bringing out food, but this was made up for by a very attentive server, who really went the extra mile to make sure we were well taken care of. It was a great atmosphere to kick back and eat good food and drink a(gluten free!) beer with the family. This was a refreshingly ‘normal’ dining experience, which someone with dietary restrictions doesn’t often find. We will definitely return.

Came in just before the lunch rush on a Tuesday. We were immediately seated inside and our drink order was taken. There is a good variety of draft, bottled and canned beers, both import and local. There also are specialty alcohol and fusion drinks to choose from We ordered the Stella Artois, which was served in a proper glass made for this type of beer which is rare. If your not into alcohol, there is a variety of shakes that look really awesome. As the burgers come ala carte, and the three of us wanted different sides, we ordered the Triple Play for $ 8.99 that included the skinny fries, the bleu cheese an chili fries and onion rings. The burgers ordered were the Stuffed Back and Bleu $ 9.99, South of the border w/o the bun $ 9.49, it has alvacado, black bean & corn salsa, pepper-jack cheese on a tortilla. I had the Hawaiian Punch $ 9.99, with Maplewood smoked bacon, pepper-jack cheese, grilled pineapple, jalopeno pesto. lettuce and tomato. All burgers were cooked to perfection,(one medium well, one medium rare and one medium) I have never had a burger so perfectly cooked at a restaurant before. Made exactly like I do at home. Loved the décor, loved the food and loved the service. Will absolutely be back.

I really want to give this more stars… but I can’t. I came in and waited 30 minutes to be seated for lunch. There were 7 open tables(that I could see) when I arrived. I’m not sure why the wait was so long, because I was the only person on the list and there were plenty of tables open. I ordered the Firehouse burger and sweet potato fries. The burger was awesome and the fries were okay. I would get the burger again without the fries. The waiter was very awkward and took my order and then I didn’t see him again until he brought my check. A waitress actually came by and refilled my tea — she noticed from a distance that it was empty. Overall great food and below average service.

** edited after second visit I’ve dropped this down to one star. Our second visit was not very good. The table we were seated at was gross and had very old food all throughout the cracks of the table, and all of the chairs were old and mis matched. The patio is a terrible and dirty place. We had to wait over thirty minutes to get our food, and had a waitress who never stopped by. We also noticed the normal attire for the wait staff was shorts so short and tight that I think I saw some junk hanging out the side. Normally this is, well, ok, but our waitress looked like she had a tumor there, gross! Cover that up. Next walks by a girl with tattoos all over her legs. Gross. Not family friendly. And the servers aren’t friendly! We won’t be going back. For what we paid, totally not worth it. Total bill with tip was 40.00 for three hamburgers, three small fries and water. A little steep, don’t you think? Sorry Marks, but when you pay that much and have to wait that long, we deserve a clean and friendly dining experience. We not be going back to this place. The food itself was ok. Good bun and overly salted fries. Very rushed.

The bacon fries with blue cheese as an appetizer were a great choice. The refrigeration lines for the draft beer were out then we visited, but their bottle beer selections were great. Had the Firehouse burger — nice heat to the jalepenos, burger was cooked as I requested. Others in my dinner party were pleased with their selections and preparation. Outdoor covered dining area allowed for nice people watching, and a wonderful May evening.

The hamburger was cold and no taste I was simply a plain frozen patty put into a grill the bacon was precooked and place into the hamburger full of fatty oil and cold as well, honestly I will stay with bad daddy’s in Greenville no better place for hamburgers, also less expensive

We went here last night before the Drive game. Ellison was our server, she was extremely knowledgeable about the beers. The beer she suggested was fantastic. She also was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the Café’ Au Poivre Burger it was excellent, well cooked with great flavor. My wife ordered the Four Cheese Burger, she thought the same way I did. My son ordered the Mac & Cheese I asked him how it was he put up his thumb and said it was awesome. I would recommend this place!

This place is fantastic. Burgers are my favorite food group and these things are unbelievable! I had the French connection with cabaret ketchup and Brie(omg) and my husband had the old markdonald with bacon, egg and yummy burger stuff. The pimento blue cheese French fries are amazing and the portion size is crazy!

Stopped by for dinner last night and was largely underwhelmed. We were told there would be a wait for a table which is understandable, but there were at least 6 large tables open, many of them with trash and waiting to be cleared. From working in the restaurant industry, there seemed to be enough staff to flip them but lack of communication and service. While waiting for our table we decided to get drinks at the bar but were completely ignored by the two bartenders… I eventually gave up trying to order a beer and figured i’d just order one when we got seated. Once we got seated, the service wasn’t much better. Our waitress on the patio was absent minded and we literally didn’t see her again after we ordered our burgers until she brought the check. A girl in our group actually had to go to the host stand to try and get waters for our table because of the lack of service. Seriously. The food was good but the service makes me never want to go back here unless i’m getting take-out. Save yourself the trouble of trying to find a table and suffering through a meal of bad service and get to-go and take it to the park. Shocking to think this restaurant is owned by the same group that runs Larkins on the River where we have never had bad service.

So today March 19th is my 41st. Birthday to bad I’m working out of town and needed to find a place to eat for lunch. MARK’S Grill is the place to go I see. Once inside sitting at the open air bar it’s time for a Markscow Mule and burger, while talking to most wonderful Sarah the bar tender that gave me some tips on where else to have a good time. It’s seems best to get here early for lunch with the line waiting for a seat, this is why I love bar seating. Great place

I really did not love the food here, which is unfortunate, because I’ve loved Larkin’s, which is the parent restaurant. The café Au Poivre Burger was beyond disappointing-cooked to my request, but the meat seemed very poor quality, & the sweet potato fries w/citrus dip were okay. Also got the Perky Kilt Beer milkshake, which was a fun idea, and was more alcoholic than expected(always a plus), but it fell flat for me. It’d be better without ice cream, actually, and the whipped cream was so bland! The hostess was lovely and our server was quick & efficient, and the heated patio was a nice alternative to a 40 minute wait. However, I will not be returning.

Service was fast and very informative. Mac and cheese is on point! Literally the best I’ve ever had! The burgers were moist and filling but pretty expensive which was expected since we were downtown. I wasnt crazy about thr burgers but it culd have just been the burger i chose. The shaketinis were delicious! You really can’t go wrong.

Ummmm… ehhhh. Not the Burger experience I was looking for. This place seems like they would give you that Burger boutique experience! They’re located in the heart of downtown. Great location. Great décor. It was directly in front of our hotel so we gave them a try. We got the stuffed bleu cheese burger, Santa Fe Burger, & the parmesan truffle fries. The fries were the best out of the three. Sad. Our burgers weren’t that flavorful or juicy. The Bacon I added on my bleu burger tasted like pork rinds or fat back. Ewww. Not real Bacon. My caramelized onions were not worth the dime either… those were added as well. Now for an «upscale» Burger spot that charges $ 1.25 per topping… my add ons need to be legit! The Santa Fe Burger was average. Now those freaking parmesan fries were awesome!(After we sent them back because they were cold). When they’re cooked correctly, the fries are crispy & the parmesan is sprinkled throughout the fries… not just on top which is a plus. Overall, I was disappointed in this spot. Great location, great décor… the most important thing just fell flat. The food.

Meh. Pros: location, atmosphere, truffle fries Cons: food is often cold. I can get a better burger for cheaper somewhere else and I won’t have to pay extra for fries.

Service was fair but lacked the ability to get our order correct and cooked right. I don’t mind paying $ 12 for a burger but when ordered med-rare it should have some pink in it. They remade my burger but not before my party had finished their meal. The parmesan truffle fries were tasty but totally under cooked(unlike my burger). Once my Old MacDonald burger with dry aged Angus beef arrived with apologies it was just okay. Nothing stood out about that is worth mentioning. My 10 year old daughter had the sliders and commented that Five Guys was better. For dessert we had a shake, a cocktail shake(roasted piña colada shake) and a Moscow Mule. I can honestly say that dessert saved them from getting only two stars on my review. Great shakes and an exceptional cocktail. While it was a fair meal for a fair price considering the location and food quality, I will un-bookmark them and try someplace new next time. Come here for dessert or cocktails but there are better burgers to be found in the upstate.

A lovely afternoon exploring downtown Greenville began with some tasty grub from Grill Marks. A Tuesday afternoon at lunch time, we had no trouble snatching up one of the outdoor tables. Scattered diners throughout, it was neither packed nor empty. Just right! The service was really great — our waiter was friendly and welcoming to us out of towner newbies and always attentive without hovering. Cold draft beers came out promptly, along with a sample for him which is always a nice touch(he ended up ordering it, so it paid off!). During the meal, a little present from above fell into mine and it was replaced without hesitation or so much as a blink of the eye. The burgers were served not long after, cooked just right, along with the«three-way» of fried pickles w/dipping sauce, skinny fries and fat fries. The fries were seasoned with Old Bay(I think/assume) — tasty! Decent fried pickles, not the best I’ve had(a little heavy on the batter), but better than most. Way too much food for two people! Back to the burgers — I tried the bison and he had the dry aged upgrade. Tender, moist & delicious! I’m not the biggest fan of brioche so I probably should have gone the naked route or asked if there was another bun option, but it was just fine eaten fork & knife style. The Grill Marks logo stamped into the bun is a nice touch :) All in all, a great meal and an even better experience. Wishing I was back in Greenville!
