Relocated to Greenville and found these folks on Unilocal so decided to give them a try.
Outstanding cut and a nice razor finish to clean things up. I will definitely be going back.
The shop is very cool as well. Very comfortable and a pool table to pass the time if things get busy.

Johnny is awesome! I been getting a haircut at his place over a year now. Never been disappointed.

This was tantamount to accidentally digging up the Ark of the Covenant in my backyard – and divided my life into two periods: before Johnny and after Johnny.
The changes were subtle – by no means a makeover – yet significant enough that more than three years later people still remark on how different I look (for the better). This is the truest testament to Johnny’s expertise and craftsmanship: he changed my entire look without really changing the fundamental style of my hair. His skill outweighs that of every hair stylist I have ever visited – combined – by a factor of 10.
If you have doubts about how something as innocuous as a haircut can be so significant, give yourself the chance to be proven wrong. You will not regret it.

Johnny is the man! He will actually listen to what you want, and is meticulous about making sure your hair looks just right, a true master of his craft. Super nice guy and good to talk to, and his shop has tons of character. Since graduating from ECU, I have been hoping to find a barber I’m happy with, but nobody compares.

After a lot of bad haircut’s in Greenville I finally found someone who can get the job done. Excellent fade and trim up top. But El Torro is much more than just the haircut, you pay for the environment. There’s just a nice vibe when walking in. Also, his prices are just the same as these chains that suck.

I have been visiting El Toro for my haircut for over six or seven years. I tried many others before. What I can say is that Johnny is the best barber. He is funny and cares for his customers.

Johnny has been my barber for over 3 years. I had never had such a personalized experience prior to El Toro. Johnny takes an immense amount of pride in what he does, and has a system that works great. He has been in business for over 40 years, and it’s easy to understand why. Plus, as an added perk, you can play pool for free while you wait.
