For the record, all my ratings only applies to records. No pun intended. This place is a total gem for theme parties, Halloween, and knick knacks but I can’t say the same for vinyl. About once a year I’d get a wild hair and flip through every single record(they have hundreds!) and I’ve only seen the stock change once in five years. A year ago someone sold them some great nineties LP’s and that was a lot of fun but as you can imagine, they sold quickly. Otherwise, it’s grandma’s attic. Records for $ 2-$ 3 that are so scratched up and worthless they belong in a dump. I’m giving the spot two stars because in five years I’ve bought three records here, so it’s not a total wash. But I’d recommend the Dickinson Ave. Antique Market over this any day.

I wish gay marriage was legal in North Carolina so I could marry Dapper Dan’s. It’s the cutest, most comfortable antique/thrift shop in Greenville, NC and I purchase at least ONE item whenever I head into the small location on Dickinson. Pros: DD’s has a great atmosphere and a great selection of vintage items. I buy ties there because it is literally the only place in town where I can find skinny ties. I love the old woman who works there, I’m guessing she’s also the owner. Nevertheless, she’s as friendly and helpful as friendly and helpful can be. Also, Dapper Dan’s isn’t as uppity and pretentious as some of the other antique/thrift shops in town. Cons: Some things are hard to get to, not open regularly.

Proof of Dapper Dan’s amazingness: I found a Murano necklace made in Italy that would originally cost $ 50 and was deducted to $ 4.95. I’ve found authentic Indian purses, Hawaiian blouses, Jamaican dresses, and some of my favorite outfit collections. They are a bit pricier than the other antique stores on Dickinson, but have the better finds.

My favorite vintage store of all time. My favorite thing about this place is the way they display stuff, it makes it really fun to browse and try on things. Love the plethora of hats, the odd shoes, the clothes, the collection of random accessories such as 70s sunglasses and huge fake gold rings and random ridiculous pins… I wish there was a place like this in Boston.

«Why didn’t I shop only here in high school?» my man remarked and he was completely right, Dapper Dan’s is the resource for one of a kind retro clothes in Greenville. There are funky clothes, hats, scarves, jewelry, furniture, and loads of odds and ends. The most recent find, an old slide-rule in a leather holder. it almost goes without saying the place is a wonderland. One of the best aspects of Dapper Dan’s is that it is comfortable. Additionally, there is so much to look at that you could easily spend a few hours finding treasures. The prices are good and the selection is interesting which makes this an important part of the true G-Vegas scene.
