This place is an all-time favorite of mine. The food and atmosphere could be called nothing less than divine. I assure you that this isn’t one of their employees saying this: Their staff is ridiculously attentive, NON-annoying, intuitive, patient, and kind. Dine in any evening and they literally treat you like a member of their family– a perfect example of the Indian hospitality that I’ve gotten to know throughout my life. When they saw we reluctantly had to choose between the gulab jamun(a type of fried dough in honey syrup) and the delicious rice pudding for desert, they brought out a decent portion of rice pudding for free so the three of us could have a taste of it. I don’t normally go crazy for rice pudding, but theirs is delicious. I think they top it with toasted almonds or something like that– exquisite. They have an excellent lunch buffet, discounted for students with ID cards. Best deal for a buffet considering the awesomeness you receive(fresh, great selection). Be sure to time your arrival on the early side– don’t show up 5 mins before the special ends(rude!). The vibe is very casual/elegant. Layout of the restaurant is very feng shui– uncluttered. Portions are awesome and I’ve never tried anything I didn’t like(even as a somewhat picky eater). This is the type of place to be adventurous and try something you’ve never had before. Anything with curry I highly recommend. You get twice as much food as the other Indian restaurant in town. Location is downtown in central Greenville on a cute strip of shops. Easy walk from ECU. Look up any reviews of Dale’s– same place/owners. They are the #1 restaurant I’ve eaten at in Greenville, and anyone I’ve asked about them has agreed.

I come here nearly every friday during the lunch hours. They have a great $ 7 student deal and the food is absolutely delicious authentic indian. Wonderful vegetarian options and meat alike. The Saag is my favorite although the tandoori chocken is a close second. The service is great and the waitress is very nice

Can’t say I was overwhelmed. The chicken dish had both gristle and bone in it. My wife had a chicken curry dish which was okay, but not special. The poori bread(which is supposed to be both puffed and crispy) was limp and soft. Would not go back.

I went to this place with my girlfriend last night for the first time and we were very impressed. The atmosphere is very nice, and well lit and the service was very good. The food was amazing. We got some cheese naan bread to share and we both ordered the Chicken Vindaloo and were very impressed. This was my girlfriend’s first time trying Indian food before and she’s already wanting to come back to this place. I’ve been to a few Indian places in the past but this one was probably the best out of them. There’s not a lot of really good places to eat in Greenville but this is one of the few. They also offer a discount to ECU students that was very nice.

great local coffee tea and treats Durham has really been stepping it up lately and I appreciate that because I love to travel. I had their homemade Chai and it’s was perfection. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable about their products and history and were personable yet professional.

Yes, the service is slow and somewhat awkward BUT, they are sooo nice. Truly, sweet folks and the best Indian food in G’ville. If you like to relax, talk, enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace(and why wouldn’t you?) then it’s awesome. Chicken Sag, Vindaloo, Tikka Marsala and the Bombay Aloo are our favorites. If you order wine –it’s always a GENEROUS pour. Lovely experience for us everytime.

This was one of the most awkward yet best dining experiences. I was almost the only patron during the entire lunch hours(3 hours) — a couple people sauntered in an hour or so after me. Maybe it’s because the academic year hasn’t started yet? Or perhaps The Scullery(a couple stores over) is a more poppin’ place for young/adults? Whatever the reason, this community is missing out on some good Indian food. Because I’m new to the area, I made it my mission to try as many restaurants in the year that I’m here. I contemplated going to The Scullery again for a good caffeine fix, but there were too many people for the mood that I was in. After walking up and down the block a couple times, I decided on Cinnamon. Score! Empty restaurant. Indian music. Lots of food. Buffet-style. All mine. Jk I wish I could eat that much. I hadn’t prepared for a buffet-style meal, so I couldn’t eat as much as I wanted to. Otherwise, I would’ve eaten the trays clean. I tried as many different foods as I could. Some were a bit too salty(but again, as I noted in my other reviews, I think it’s probably to cater to the southern tastebuds), but most were spot-on. I especially loved all of their chicken dishes(e.g., tandoori, mango chicken, chicken makhani) — they all went perfectly with the complimentary naan. Saturday lunches are buffet-style with about twenty different options. Drinks included. Naan bread included. Unlimited mimosas start from 1PM. I think lunch is always buffet-style for Indian restaurants and this one is no exception. Saturdays are just more special because of the drink/mimosa inclusion(though there’s also a higher price tag of $ 12). The servers were super nice and friendly too. For those vegetarians/vegans out here, there are tons of veg options too!
