First, let me say that the beer here is excellent. I had the No More Mr. Weiss Guy and the Yellow Jacket Honey Ale. My husband had the Six Guns. All fantastic. Our server was friendly. Our food was a mixed bag. The salads my son and I ordered were great, but the dressings were awful. I asked for the garlic vinaigrette, but got a side of oil. I asked for a ceasar dressing instead and got funny colored mayonnaise. Our personal pizzas were awesome if you don’t count the jalapeños I got on mine. They tasted more like green bell peppers. My husband had to dig one out and prove to me that they weren’t. I love my spicy food, but I don’t think I’m that desensitized! Overall, well be back — but I think I’ll order something different. My husband seemed happy with his burger and the fries I stole were really good.

We stopped here recently for beer and apps. We ordered a flight, and we enjoyed every beer we tried, which included Weiss Guy Weissbier, Yellow Jacket Honey Ale, Black Juju Stout and In Greenville Stout.(Props to the honey-scented honey ale and the creamy Black Juju Stout, which had a deep chocolate flavor with raisin, coffee and vanilla notes.) Our apps were one hit and one miss: The baked whitefish dip was light, unfishy and seasoned with a subtle herb mixture that made it a bit more interesting than others we’ve had around the state; I was disappointed that it was served with standard potato chips instead if homemade chips or good crackers, but frankly I cared more about the dip. The drunken burgundy mushrooms, which sounded great on the menu, tasted as if they were marinated and cooked in a mix of wine and full-on food-service onion soup base; extremely salty and institutional. The pillow of hot bread served with them also didn’t work as a vehicle for the mushrooms. I was sorry I hadn’t ordered the beerbrined wings instead. The burger and dinner entrée choices looked interesting(gingered mahi for a special; about a half dozen burger choices, including a red-bean-and-rice veggie burger). The brewpub is quite large inside; it feels more like a family restaurant than a pub, which may or may not appeal to visitors.(We saw lots of families arriving for dinner.) The bar offers at least a dozen home brews, plus some other beers, ciders and wines. Service was very friendly. We would come back here again and try something else on the menu.

Food was amazing, the smoked fish appetizer was perfect. Wait staff prefers to be texting and calling people instead of waiting on you. Horrible service. It’s beyond insane how bad of service you get. Prepare to wait an hour and a half for an app, drinks, and dinner that comes out directly after your apps because texting is more important than waiting on those that tip you. The food is great, didn’t taste the beer but others tell me it is good. Just needs better wait staff.

I have to say I am slightly disappointed. The last visit I had here there was a more upscale menu with excellent execution. Unfortunately, that chef is no longer here. There’s a new chef in town with a whole new menu! This is a more middle of the road pub menu with decent execution. This would have been fine had I not come with the expectation of truffle fries and an upscale goat cheese personal pizza. The service was excellent and the waitress totally saved the wings we ordered. At first impression the wings had a scant amount of sauce. The waitress quickly came by with a side of sauce and saved the day! However after tasting the wings it was clear to see the chef knew exactly what he was doing! The kick on that bourbon sauce made the amount put on the wings perfect! Any more is just too much. Criticism: the egg on the venison burger was way over cooked and even bordering on burnt! Otherwise it was a fine meal. It’ll be interesting to see what other changes the new chef might bring. Suggestion: bring back the truffle fries and goat cheese! Even a nice goat cheese, cherry, and honey chutney with crostini would be nice.

Not bad for a snack. The service was super slow and the bartender could not make a snakebite. She mixed the beers and sloshed it over to me. Not good. I was not a fan of their beers. The food was super greasy and heavy. We got fried pickles which are large spears and beer battered so there is a ton of batter on these. I also got the pretzels and beer cheese dip good soft pretzels.

57 Brew Pub & Bistro is a welcome addition to Greenville! They’ve been open for awhile now and they seem to be doing well. I stopped in the other day and had some lunch and a beer. Their beer leaves a bit to be desired, but I have enjoyed the peanut butter porter. Unfortunately, it wasn’t on the menu when I visited last, and it may be gone since they have a new brewer as of this past year. I ordered an oatmeal stout which was not very smooth. I would probably pass on the beer next time. Our food was great! We ordered the pretzel sticks as an appetizer. They were exactly what I want in a pretzel — hot, soft, not too salty, and they come with an amazing beer cheese sauce! We kept the leftover sauce for dipping our fries into. Everyone in the group ordered burgers, and they were amazing! I was pleasantly surprised that they were cooked perfectly to order and piled high with toppings. The bun was a brioche bun, which I’m usually not a huge fan of, but this one was just right. Sometimes they seem too sweet, but this one wasn’t. It also wasn’t huge and overpowering like some brioche buns are. The fries were hot and well-seasoned. I would definitely get another burger here again! I have also had the wings, which were excellent. This is a great place to stop if you’re heading through Greenville. They also offer growler fills and bottles to go if you find a beer that you love!

Lots in the menu, but lots of it is Midwest and mediocre. With that said, the wood fired pizza’s and their sandwiches are great. A great place to meet with friends or watch sports while you dine. Solid appetizers(good super hot wings) and a great assortment of craft beers is why I give it.

Stopped by after a long bike ride for some beer. We had the Green Tractor and the 57 Chevy IPA. Both were very good. The Green Tractor is an American Pale Ale that’s quite hoppy, so a little different and really refreshing. Didn’t try the food, but what our neighbor at the bar was eating looked and smelled tasty. Service was very friendly and prompt.

Ribs were ok if you like them burned black on the outer edge. Appatizer came after the meal because waitress never put in when we ordered it. Wings were not as ordered either. Wasn’t just us 2 other tables complained about their orders too. Hostess gave us the appatizers free and was very nice. This was our 3rd time here other 2 visits were just as bad. This was the last visit for us. This place should be busy all the time great location good parking and nice inside… my guess is the locals have caught on and avoid this place.

Pleasant surprise in Greenville. Good beer selection and food was good. Try the smoked whitefish spread and a Green Tractor

Visiting Greenville and decided to try the Brew Pub. Walked in on Memorial Day about 3:30 to find nobody at the hostess stand so we seated ourselves at the bar. Restaurant was not busy but plenty of staff moving around doing nothing. There wasn’t anybody behind the bar and after not be recognized by any of the staff for over 5 minutes we left. Very sad for a town that has little to offer. We did go to Applebee’s and had excellent service and a descent dinner. I hope that things improve because it is a very nice facility!

Seems to have really gone down hill. We really enjoyed it when it first opened but our most recent visits have been less than stellar. I had the cod basket. The fish portion was small and the fries were soggy. My son had the Bison Burger that he used to enjoy, but this time it was obviously a frozen patty. The atmosphere is nice, I just wish the food and service would once again match it.

Just avoid this rip off. You will be glad you did. Billed us for extra for pizza toppings after taking two off. Then billed for extra salsa $ 1 when they don’t provide enough. Extremely disappointed. This place has so much potential to be run this badly.

Beautiful dining area and friendly staff. I wanted to be impressed, but the food was slow to arrive and not great. We both ordered the perch basket, and the fries and fish both tasted like they had been precooked and warmed until served to us. On the other hand, my 14 year old son ordered the flourless chocolate tart, and it was great.

This is not good. Why is this place busy? Bad overpriced beer & food. I have never seen white colored smoked salmon. Must be so incredibly rare for it to cost almost $ 10 for a ¼ cup of it mixed with mayo. LOL«pâté»! I think they’re skirting the law & feeding you unicorn meat instead. Thanks for the government cheese quesadilla. What a treat! Your beer quality matches the food perfectly. (Also, I recommend you read Unilocal’s «not recommended«reviews. Some pretty good info there.)

My first time at 57 left a lot to be desire. First off and most importantly I bought 2 meals this included 2 appetizers salads and entrees the bill was 65ish and both my wife and I left hungry. The portion size was small. We ordered the pub cheese, which was about ½ a cup of cheese and around 8 pita triangles for 7 – 8 bucks. Good but over priced for what you get. We also got the wing-dings with buffalo sauce, the sauce amounted to thickened red hot .this isn’t the worst thing but a bit of butter and a touch if honey would went a long way. Just about any place has better wings. The salad course was fine. The entrees were the most disappointing. My wife and I both ordered the specials, the lobster tail and prime rib. OK is a good description of the quality and taste. I have had better of both, each came with a small dollop of mashed potatoes and 4 of the saddest most over cooked asparagus spear you have ever seen. They were around 20ish each and really just a horrible small portions. The couple we were with both commented on not getting enough to eat. In the end this place is middle of the road fair at best and if it was any place but a small town like Greenville it would not last. I am in no hurry to go back.

We stopped off at 57 Brew Pub & Bistro in Greenville on an icy December night. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised with the food, the drinks, and the service. Since it is billed as a brew pub, I had to try the beer. Both the Yellow Jacket Stinger Honey Ale and the Mayan Midnight Stout were delicious. The stout was very chocolaty while the amber ale was hoppy with a smooth finish. For dinner we ordered two wood fired pizzas: the Tivoli’s Garden and the Maui Maui. The Tivoli’s Garden was the better of the two. It had a white sauce, tomatoes, red onions, artichokes, roasted red peppers, mushrooms, and goat cheese. It was also sprinkled with truffle infused sea salts! The Maui Maui was pretty good too but didn’t include truffle infused sea salts. Our dessert was a Chai crème brule. This unique melding of cultures resulted in a surprisingly good flavor combination. My dining companion grew up in the local area and made several comments during dinner. They amused me so I noted them down and have listed them below. She’ll probably strangle me if she finds out I posted them online. «I don’t think ever before in the history of Montcalm County has anything with goat cheese or truffle salts appeared on a menu.» «If I lived here I would eat here every day. I would be like Norm on Cheers.» «Oh my god, that’s so cheap!» — Upon seeing total on the bill. «I hope the locals appreciate this place and keep it in business, dang it!» «What do you think people from Greenville are called? Greenvillians?» — She may have enjoyed the brews even more than I did. 57 Brew Pub & Bistro has big city menu items like goat cheese pizzas but retains the small town feel. When passing through the area again, I’ll definitely be stopping by to sample more of their offering, both food and beer.

I seldom give five stars but… Greenville? Really? Wow, I’m impressed! Even after I heard a brew pub was opened I figured it was another resurrection of the Roller Castle. Well it is the same location and owners however it’s a brand new facility. Upscale for the area you are greeted by a roaring fireplace and a friendly atmosphere. Sort of Timbers Inn without the Northwoods gimmick. The beer was great and while I didn’t eat, Jerry tried the features pork chops and declared them as memorable. Unlike other breweries they also offer a full bar of mixed drinks and domestic beer. In this area I think Club 57 stands in a class by itself. Well worth a stop.

We had a great time there. They explained the beer menu and told us what they were about. The pizza came out a little burned, but they caught it before they served it to us and made a new fresh one. I’m a pizza snob and it was really good. The crust was chewy, the bottom crisp. We even took a growler home. I will go back for sure.
