Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Service is friendly and efficient. Their smoothies are great but their food is terrible quality. Chicken has questionable pieces and salad lettuce is always rotten. I’ve given their Caesar and Thai salad a few chances and am never impressed

I love their smoothies and will always get my smoothies there. However their food is lacking. I’ve ordered the smoked jalapeño tacos and the first time they were great the other two times it looked like they stood back three feet and threw the chicken and Ingredients in the taco. It just seemed like they ca t be bothered making quality foods.

We had to remind them that they still hadn’t made our smoothie. No manager around to complain to either

Was in a bit of a rush so I swung by for a little pick me up after the gym. Before even fully walking into the place, I was greeted by all three people behind the counter. Got an avocado kale smoothie and was blown away by how delicious it was! There were a few people in there but was in and out within a few minutes. Friendly staff, quick service AND great smoothies? I’ll have to swing by more often.

In one word… Refreshing! Tried a few different smoothies here and liked them all. I like that they give you a nice sized cup for your smoothie. It’s makes for a good snack after a hard workout, or a healthier alternative for dessert after eating food.

If it wasn’t for the overwhelmingly bad smell of the restaurant I would give them 5 stars. I hope this funk isn’t normal.

How do you run out of chicken!!! What the heck. I had to settle for a turkey bacon ranch wrap. Which was good but I really was looking forward to my buffalo chicken wrap. It just kinda stinks when you look forward to something then they tell you they are out of it. Apparently this happens often too :(

Tropical Smoothie is always a great place to catch a healthy meal. The smoothies and blends are always great. The environment has warm and vibrant colors and music. The staff is nice and helpful and will even bring your food out to you.

Love this place! I tried the one in downtown WS and surprise… there is one in GSO! I’m afraid I’ll be here everyday!

My new favorite EVERY DAY place! Incredible food and smoothies. Just had the junior Early Bird Wrap for breakfast and it was fantastic! I couldn’t finish it all. Everything I have tried there has been exceptional! From 7 to 10 in the mornings smoothies are half price so it’s hard to pass up a perfect «pick you up» with added energy and a nutritious breakfast! They constantly have specials that make it reasonable to eat there often. I highly recommend trying it for yourself!!!

Had a coupon for BOGO free meal or smoothie so my a friend and I met here for lunch today. The space used to be a Carvel but they have remodeled and it looks quite different. Clean, bright and cheerful. You go to the counter, place your order and they bring it to your table. I had the ginger miso chicken bowl with carrots, edamame, spinach, cucumbers and noodles. The noodles were basically spaghetti and served as the base for the other ingredients. The ginger miso dressing was very good. Serving size was decent but a little pricey at 6.99 with no drink. My friend had the Thai chicken salad and she enjoyed it. Overall, I like this place but would probably not go back unless I had another coupon. A healthy option if in the area.

A used a groupon here. I got a flatbread, kids pizza and a peaches and silk smoothie with a booster and only paid 72 cents! The Hawaiian flatbread sauce was a bit on the spicy side even for me. I love spicy. The smoothie was a good size. The staff seemed like they were having a good time and enjoy working there. It was kept clean too. I will be back to use my other groupons and another smoothie.

My smoothie had more ice in it than anything I do believe. It was not flavorful. I did not order food as the sandwiches are all at least 7 dollars! Wow! Will not be going back. Juice Shop regular always.

Picked up a Groupon so I went by today to try it out. There were 3 people in line in front of me. The cashier couldn’t seem to figure out how to ring up the order. The lady in the back came out once to assist but after almost 5 minutes of standing there I walked out. With 3 people in line in front of me and one person filling orders it wasn’t encouraging and I only have an hour for lunch. l sure hope they stay in business long enough for me to use the Groupon I’ve already paid for. Their smoothie menu looks good. Clearly, the business owner was not on site.

We recently discovered the TSC in Charlotte and had no idea one had just opened in GSO. At both locations the food was excellent. There were four of us today and everyone agreed it was awesome. Portions are not huge but the prices are very reasonable. Smoothies may be their signature item, but the food will keep me coming back. It’s nice to have food with a different flair in town.
Update. I noticed other reviews talk about the service. I have not had a problem. Keep in mind this place is new. It may take a while to get people trained.
