Tito’s Pizza & Subs

If i could give this place 0 stars I would. I had ordered food for delivery and when I found out that they would take longer than an hour to deliver, I called back right away to cancel my order. They didn’t answer the phone for over 20 minutes. Once I finally got them to answer I explained that this was unprofessional and I didn’t have the time to wait for over an hour for food. We reached an agreement that he would refund 20 of the 30 dollars to my card, the food was 24 dollars and I pretipped 6 dollars. after a week, the money had still not been refunded back to my card so I called to inquire what was going on. The person that answered the phone was the same guy I had talked to the original day and claimed he knew nothing and for me to file a complaint with the manager who is supposedly in the shop only one day a week (more lies). While I’m still talking he hangs up on me. I call back and he says he hung up because he had nothing more to say. Worst customer service. These guys are scam artists and don’t deserve even a single star. If you want food, take your business elsewhere.

Ok so first time I ordered the food was good! Slow delivery but good. Today, given its a snow day, this place is only 12 miles from me. I ordered a pepperoni pizza…3 hours ago as I type this, and have yet to receive it. So I’ve called several times, and was only answered once an hour ago by someone confirming the delivery guy had already left. Again, haven’t seen him yet. Won’t be ordering here again.

The couple who had been waiting for their sandwiches pretty quickly, but I was informed Alfredo takes a long time!

Today, we ordered a veggie pizza with extra sauce to be delivered. However, their idea of «extra» must be a «little bit.» Also, the sauce didn’t taste very good. We won’t order from them again.

I travel by here often and decided to take a chance.
I ordered a 2 slice (sausage) meal with drink. The pizza was… Um uh it had red sauce. The fountain drink was kinda flat. The crust had a very nice texture.
The place was kinda dirty but I sat there for about 40 minutes. Then I realized; this is High Point Road, lunch hour, and NOBODY else came in except for the delivery guy who made 2 trips. :0/​
If it weren’t for me playing candy crush and the lack of distractions, I am sure I would not have sat there at all.

What an absolute FIASCO!
First, I’ve ordered from here before, a couple of times, with no problems. I’m actually not sure if this place has changed hands recently? My husband and I were both pretty sick so we didn’t want to go out and «spread the plague» so to speak. So, we decided to order from Tito’s since they delivered and we wouldn’t have to get into the car and drive down the street to Elizabeth’s on Groomtown. This is important information for later in the review …
We called in the order for one pizza. It arrived about 45 minutes later — WITH NO DEBIT CARD RECEIPT. I tried to explain to the driver that I could not take the pizza without a receipt, I mean, honestly, what if they decided to just put whatever they wanted as a tip? He argued saying that he could BRING A RECEIPT LATER BECAUSE THEY HAD TYPED IN THE WRONG DEBIT CARD NUMBER but to just take the pizza. I was like, «What?» So, I’m to take this pizza, give you no money, your to trust me to call the order back in and then I’m to trust YOU to put the right amount of tip on a receipt that I may never see? None of this sounded right to me. At this point, I opened the pizza box to find that the pizza he was trying to give me was burned on one side and under-​cooked on the other? Seriously? So I tell him, «Take this pizza back and I’m sorry but I’m ordering from someone else.»
I call to complain to the manager/​owner that this was unacceptable and also to confirm that my debit card had NOT been charged. When I told him that the pizza was also «crap» and to cancel the order completely — he hung up on me. So I called back and I asked again about my debit card receipt and was my card actually charged? He FINALLY tells me the truth. MY DEBIT CARD HAD BEEN CHARGED $ 75.75 BECAUSE HE MADE A MISTAKE WHICH WAS WHY HE HAD NO RECEIPT TO GIVE ME! He tells me, he will void the amount and that it may not show up until the next day. To add insult to injury, he TELLS ME POINT BLANK THAT HE KNEW HE HAD SENT OUT A «BAD PIZZA»!! Not trusting him at all, I also had to call my bank and dispute the charges just in case this shiester decided NOT to void the sale.
My husband, in the mean time, orders an XL pizza from Elizabeth’s on Groomtown to go pick up. While he is there, he mentions the fiasco with Titos’s to which the manager of Elizabeth’s gives us our XL pizza for the price of a Large … TY ELIZABETH’S! Moral of the story — order from a reputable pizza place even when you are coughing up a lung ;)

Unfortunately… terrible…Takeout Triad needs to drop them… pizza sauce has no flavor… cheese bland… italian sausage no flavor… bit of a shame

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. I ordered from here tonight on 2÷5÷2014, two items: Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo, and Strawberry Cheesecake through the Grubhub phone App. The cream in the sauce broke from the rest of the liquid in the sauce and the cheese curdled. I told the owner in a respectable fashion and asked If they could deliver another order and take this one back. Unfortunately not only is the owner lacking in the necessary education to prepare Alfredo he is also lacking in manners and responded in a very derogatory fashion. Luckily I ordered from Grubhub and my money was refunded immediately Unluckily for the owner I will review his shitty restaurant at every venue possible. Whenever you are buying food from these local «Mom and Pop» joints if you are not picking the food up in person always use a Third Party Order system like Grubhub, Eat24, Paypal and what not on the off chance the owner is an ignorant uneducated piece of shit that doesn’t know the definition of the word curdled yet sells food made with Alfredo sauce and then REFUSES to fix the problem or refund my money. Grubhub refunded my money no problem. AND the strawberry topping for my cheesecake was frozen! The lazy f*cks didn’t even have the courtesy to thaw out my strawberry topping. Also if there are any people who doubt my claim is real I videotaped my experience and took photos of the garbage they tried to pass off as food. Here is a video of their food on Youtube:

Horrible service. Ordered a delivery and it has been more then an hour and a half and when I call to ask about it the manager continues to debate with me saying that it hasn’t been that long when I have the call record. Never again

So I decided to give this place another try. DO NO ORDER THE SHRIMP TRAY. O M G it was so extremely salty, I threw out half the food. Someone just dumped a bunch of salt all over everything. Uffff, it was gross.

I had never heard of Tito’s. Not feeling well I dug through my takeout drawer and found a menu for them. Looking it over, I saw a few things of interest so gave the place a call. I believe it is a father/​son operation. They have thick accents but growing up in Europe, several years in Italy, I was able to understand them. I ordered the Chicken Fajita Pita, Garden salad, and to make sure I have enough for a delivery I added a piece of Chocolate cake. I had to bring the total up after all. LOL The food I ordered comes with the following:
Chicken Fajita Pita — Grilled chicken with green peppers, mushrooms, rolled in a pita and topped with cucumber sauce, lettuce, and tomato. (It comes with onions but I asked for no onions).
Garden Salad — Lettuce, tomatoes, olives, banana peppers, and cheese.
Chocolate Cake — If you need to ask what that is you need help. LOL
After placing the order I did not wait long for the food to arrive at my door. It must have been the Greek son who does the deliveries. They stated it might be 45 mins but it seemed a lot faster. He was not overly nice at the door but not rude either. I kept remembering he was Greek and a lot of Europeans, like Germans I know, want to do their thing and leave. He was no exception. I opened the food and was impressed but immediately noticed the salad was half brown lettuce. It appears they tried to mix it with a little fresh lettuce but I stood over the sink pulling out as much brown/​welted lettuce as I could. It ended up being half the salad. The pita had brown salad but not much and I was able to remove it. Please see the pictures of the food when received.
Taste wise the pita was delightful. It was more of a gyro though than a pita. Chicken was grilled nicely, seasoned well, and the tomatoes were very fresh. The mushrooms that were grilled in it were not fresh mushrooms but rather canned ones. I would have expected fresh mushrooms. The cucumber sauce was mild but blended well with the flavors. I would give it a 3 ½ out of a 5. The salad was good but again I was picking around so much brown/​welted lettuce. However, the green and black olives were fresh and tasty. Again the salad had fresh cut tomatoes and the cheese was good without being overwhelming. I even enjoyed the banana peppers since they were fresh. I would give the salad a 3 out of a 5. I would rate it much lower but since the other ingredients were good I am trying to compensate it. The chocolate cake is sitting in my fridge but appearance wise it is a nice thick slice and not covered in frosting which I hate. It seems the cake is truly cake and not frosting like a lot of other places offer. I can tell it is moist so even without trying it I am giving it 5 out of 5. I wanted to rate them 3 out of 5 overall but am going to give 4 stars since where they lacked they made up with other ingredients. If they serve fresh lettuce/​salad in the future this place might become a favorite place of mine.
