This is the first time I order with this service. The food arrived way earlier than I expected, hot and fresh; our driver was extremely nice. I’m very happy with this overall experience and would definitely order again.

Almost every time I have used this service it has been great. Once, it was tremendously late and they refunded my delivery fee. I was given the line that the delivery time is an estimate… but when it takes twice as long as the estimate, it is a very weak argument. I too have had trouble with coupon codes. I was disappointed when TOC took over from TOT that restaurants that I could get at my home I could no longer get though they would deliver to my office. I will keep using it. On a cold day like today, my Pad Se Ew from Thai Corner will be delightful and I can just keep on working.

I’m more than a little confused by this Unilocal site, and the info and reviews it contains. Obviously, all of the earlier reviews are related to the delivery service Takeout Triad, which I assume at this point is, mercifully(don’t get me started), gone or has been taken over by Takeout Central, which originated in the Chapel Hill area as Tarheel Takeout in 1996. We placed our first order with this service on Sept 12, and have used them 9 more times including tonight. We have yet to experience a single bump in those 10 deliveries — delivery has been on time, or close enough to be acceptable(no, very damn acceptable), the orders have been complete in all material respects, and the drivers have been friendly and professional. They, like our other excellent delivery service, allow you to track the progress of your order online — from confirmation, to placement, to driver at the restaurant, to driver headed your way — cool, bu it also helps prevent surprises, rarely a good thing when ordering delivery. These folks have done an outstanding job for us, and over a well sized sample size. We do recommend.

I ordered with this company for the first time on Dec. 31, 2015 and it will be my last. The food I ordered was not what I received and the delivery person showed up with a few sketchy people in the car and did not deliver to the destination I set forth in the notes. I ended up throwing the food out and drinking water for dinner. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

I love this service! Almost always arrives when it says it will. Anytime there is a problem with the order I get a prompt phone call fixing the issue. I use Takeout Triad on a weekly basis and have had all wonderful experiences. Great delivery persons and delicious food from the restaurants they deliver for.

Wouldn’t help me when I got the wrong sandwich. Called three times, I was hung up on the first time after I said I ordered the wrong sandwich and no one seemed to want to help me. I got screwed out of my money.

So we had a horrendous experience again. 2 ½ hours plus to get a burger order correct. Not sure what was going on with their system. Finally spoke to the owner-promised a few coupons for the trouble we went through – never got the coupons. Up to them to make that right. However, we’ve ordered a few more times after this. The last 3 times, although the food came after the expected time(in fairness-they don’t guarantee the time), they did inform us by email and phone that there was a delay and that there was an issue. Finally, proactive steps to make sure we were informed. Also all the orders have been correct since then. I’ll move it up to a 4. It’s definitely not a 5 and squeaks above a 3. Still know it can be hit or miss and make sure that order is right from the get go.

Ordered from TT a second time and am very happy with their service. Before placing an order I called the restaurant to see if I could use my Groupon by giving the TT driver my voucher number. The restaurant said yes. However, when they talked to the restaurant owner he told them that he needed to scan the voucher. TT called me immediately to inform me of the issue. I appreciated that. Also, since they were running behind, they removed the delivery fee for my total. TT is doing a great job thus far… I will continue to use their services.

I used this service for the first time today even though I was hesitant bc of all the bad reviews. To my surprise it was good service. I placed an online order at 12, called in to confirm at 12:05& my food arrived around 1:10. I see many people complaining about the time it takes to get their food, but you have to consider that these drivers must first drive to the restaurant AND then to your house. The only problem I had was that my driver didn’t offer change. My food was $ 14 and I paid out of 20. I was planning on giving him a 10 tip, but whatever. I would definitely use this service again though.

AWFUL customer service. Food will be late. Said times are estimated and even wouldn’t let me refund the tip — THETIP — even though it’s going to be estimated 25-minutes late. I called to say my order’s about 10-minutes late. He said that the driver’s leaving the restaurant and should be there in 10 min. I said, «Well, if that’s the case, please refund the tip at least.» Rudely, and curtly, he said, «Well it’s not the driver’s fault.» Pretty taken aback by that, I said, «In this case, I don’t even want the food.» He said, «We can’t give refunds because it’s processed already.» Use at your own risk. They don’t care about you. I’m posting similar reviews everywhere. I truly had the worst service. Ever.

I have never used a delivery service before, so I was naturally skeptical of ordering online with a 3rd party company. I read the reviews here and decided to take a chance. Boy am I glad I did! I ordered from a local Mediterranean restaurant through Triad Takeout. As soon as I placed my order for 2 meals, I showed an estimated time of arrival at approximately 40 minutes. I received a confirmation email shortly after confirming my order. The best part is that it only took 30 minutes to get our food. It was still warm, tasted delicious, and the delivery man was very nice. I didn’t feel the delivery charge was steep(I think it was $ 3.99). It was nice ordering something out from a place other than a pizza place. I would definitely order again from Triad Takeout and so should you!

I definitely would NOT order through this service. The order was 30min late(driver got lost), which was only a hiccup & didn’t even upset me actually b/c I know that happens sometimes. The order she delivered, however, was completely & totally wrong. Then when I called the restaurant they were extremely rude(leaving another review for them as well). Called Takeout Triad to figure out where our order was, etc, & they said they would only refund the delivery fee & not the entire order cost. Completely unacceptable. The order was over 2hrs late by the time it was delivered correctly & I’m sorry if they have to pay the restaurant, but that is a job hazard. They should refund their customer & take it up with the restaurant who gave them the wrong order to begin with. Why should I have to pay for someone else’s mistake? I definitely will not be making the mistake of ordering through them again. I suggest you do the same!

We recently moved to the area and decided to use this delivery service last night. I ordered my food at 5:12 pm and got a confirmation via e-mail with an approximate delivery time of 6:07 pm. The food did not arrive until almost 7 pm and was cold by that time. I called and just got excuses about inclimate weather, short on drivers, driver was brand new. These excuses should not be the customers problem, if the weather is that bad, then they should have closed their business. Also, being a new driver or them being short on drivers — also not the customers problem. When the driver finally got close to our place, which by the way is a huge apartment complex, she stated that her GPS took her to a gas station that was close but would not bring her to the complex. So, I told her to go down the road a little bit and the entrance was right there. I had supplied the name of the complex and the gate code when I ordered on line. It still took her 10 minutes to find us after the call and my husband had to go out in the cold to flag her down. When I called back to the main office for the second time all I got was excuses and an offer to waive our delivery fee next time. Well, first of all, there will be no next time. If you can’t deliver as promised, customers don’t want to hear your list of excuses. We pay for a service and expect you to keep your word and do as promised. They should have agreed to waive the delivery fee on this order, since this is when the problem was. As it was I had to request that the 20% tip that was added at the time of the order be removed, it certainly was not deserved, a tip is for great service. Had they offered to discount our bill and not offered up so many excuses, we may have tried them again, but I am not willing to try this again after the way we were treated.
