Servpro of Greensboro North

Our Townhouse neighbor had a serious fire and we had smoke and water damage from it. The insurance company called Servpro and they came around soon after. They took all of our household contents out with the promise that everything would be inventoried, cleaned, properly stored, and returned to us when the restoration was done. The inventory they gave us was a list that said things like «Box 1 — kitchen» — useless! Another company did the restoration and when they were done we arranged for Servpro to bring back our belongings. They brought the boxes back and piled them up all over the house so that we had to move them just to unpack other boxes. The boxes were mis-​labled, and looked like they had been packed by turning a drawer upside down and dumping it into the box. Many things were damaged, some beyond repair, including our master bed frame, the dining table and chairs, an antique shelf, and a Karastan rug that disappeared and was not even on the inventory.
We estimated between $ 7,000– $ 10,000 lost and damaged household items and they blew it off. They refused to compensate and told us to sue them if we wanted to do so. Of course, the attorney we spoke to told us that they could run up more in legal fees than our suit would be worth so we were forced to drop it. They have reviews similar to this from all around the country. DO NOT let these guys in the door. We worked with Belfor on the restoration and they were great to deal with.

A burst pipe resulted in a flood which required considerable cleaning up and repair. I have zero experience of such things, this was my first flood and my first insurance claim.
The insurance company suggested Servepro so I called them and they arrived the next day to begin drying the place. I also agreed to let them take care of the repairs and restoration. While some mistakes were made by them or their subcontractors in the process, they made everything right in the end and I got the impression from the man in charge of restoration (Chad — good guy) that they wanted to do a good job and not get paid for anything they’d not done properly.
I hope to never need such a service again, but if I did, I’d have no objection to calling them again.

Our house was flooded and the insurance company arranged for Servopro to come and clean up the mess. They were supposed to come the next morning, but did not show up. We didn’t even receive a phone call from them. Unreliable. Unprofessional.
