Good spot to pick up a sweet treat, they have a small case with different varieties of truffles and mini cheesecakes, they also have a few different cakes you can purchase by the slice, maybe 5 or 6 varieties, all flavors change often. The mini cheesecakes are great, carrot cake is one of my favorites of all time, but Peggy Sue’s version isn’t one that I would go crazy over, it was just ok to me, the cream cheese icing is very nice though. They have a few tables & chairs and a few little couch type deals along the wall if you want have a dessert and a sit down. Recently ordered a cake for a birthday, they will make just about anything you want the way you want it. The cake was lemon cake layers with a lemon buttercream icing, the lady suggested she could really lemon things up with lemon curd between the layers as well, so we took her up on that offer. The cake was dee-licious with the layers having a slight hint of lemon, the icing was really nice and rich with a powerful lemon punch and the lemon curd was great in there giving it a little sweet tartness, just a really nice cake for anyone that loves a lemon overload. The cake was ready when promised, no problems at all, we were very pleased with the cake and the service. A good stop if your in the neighborhood and that sweet tooth is givin’ ya a fit.

Peggy’s has taken over another dessert bakery’s location. The décor itself is very similar as are a lot of the menu items: cake by the slice, truffles, mini cheese cakes, etc. The flavors are adequate, but the selection seems limited when compared to the previous owners. Also, the prices are a little high, and while these prices are comparable to Maxie B’s(another local dessert shop) the food is not nearly on their level, which is some of the best dessert I have ever eaten. Overall, I don’t think we will be returning much; it seems to be missing that certain something that would make them special.

Peggy Sue’s offers some spot-on sweets for the Greensboro area. It is a perfect alternative to Maxie B’s or Delicious for the North East side of town. I had the pleasure of visiting Peggy Sue’s on two different occasions — for their Cinco de Mayo Unilocal event and Mother’s Day weekend. The interior is so cute. The nice tables with flowers invite you to sit and enjoy your confections with a cup of Keurig brewed coffee or hot tea. When eating in, you enjoy your food on real plates and cups. I especially like how much more environmentally friendly this is than disposables. The display case is neat, clean, and nicely organized. Each confection is fresh-made and cheesecake flavors rotate regularly. Peggy Sue’s offered a Cinco de Mayo special cheesecake flavor — margarita and a $ 5 sampler plate for Unilocal attenders. I chose both. The sampler plate came with a slice of hummingbird cake, a brownie, chocolate peanut butter crunch bar, a cinnamon roll cheesecake, and a chocolate chip truffle. My favorite of all the samples was the hummingbird cake. It was absolutely perfect, scratch-made, and moist. The cinnamon roll cheesecake was my second favorite item. I really like how Peggy Sue’s offers her cheesecakes in bite-size form. The other items were a little too sweet for my personal taste. For mother’s day weekend, we bought some truffles as presents. Our mothers loved them.

I like that Peggy Sue’s offers little baby cheesecake rounds! You can sample multiple flavors, or you can just have one for a small treat. The cheesecake filling itself was very impressive. The margarita cheesecake flavor was very unique. Although I did enjoy the cheesecake filling, the crust was a little bit on the salty side for my taste. I do like a hint of salt in there, but it seemed like there was a lot of salt. That would honestly be my only complaint. The truffles were heavenly. The oreo truffle was definitely my favorite. Hubby gave a two thumbs up for his peanut butter truffle as well! The employees were very friendly and welcoming. This little bakery is a welcome addition to Greensboro!

This is by far the best Cheesecake I have ever had! The«mini» size is perfect because it allows you to have multiple flavors in one sitting.
