When I got my new frameless glasses, the ends of the plastic«rope» were sticking out at the nose guard. I asked to have these ends removed. It looked sloppy and not a finished product. The woman who fitted the glasses then proceeded to clip off the ends, but she did not protect the lenses from her tool, so after she clipped off the plastic ends, she left tool marks on each lens. when I complained, I was told that they had contacted Dr. Jong the MD& owner and I should go see him in his Athens office. Well, we drove an hour to Athens and I was told by the receptionist the Dr. Jong would not see me and there would not do anything about my damaged lenses. If you do not understand what happened, let me put it this way. When a carpenter has to bang a piece of wood, as in a floor installation, he always puts a piece of scrap wood on top of the finished wood so that when the hammer hits, it does not damage the finished wood. The sloppy person at Georgia Center for Sight, doesn’t bother with such niceties.

Dr. Harker did a very thorough eye exam, found problems that I needed to know about and gave me some very good advice on how to care for my eyes. The Lake Oconee store that I visited also offers frames and lenses. Both accepted my Blue Vision insurance, so cost was very reasonable. Overall, I got great care, great service, and it’s convenient for folks in the Lake Oconee area. The only drawback is that the docs float between the offices so they are not available every day. I waited a week for an appointment. It was well worth the wait.
