Cook Out

The wall between the order board and the drive-​up window had 5 – 6 cockroaches as big as my hand crawling around on the wall, so you know something is not being kept properly clean. Had to keep on driving thru and left my order sitting in the window.

This has been my go-​to cookout for years. Fast service and great food. I’m live in phx and this is one of the things I miss the most and have to travel back to NC for.

When it comes to fast food in this area, I’ll take Cook Out over any of the other burger joints any day. The burgers are made fresh when you order, with fresh toppings, they haven’t been sitting around under heat lamps for who knows how long before they are sold.
There are other options on the menu besides burgers which are all pretty awesome like the grilled chicken sandwiches, the grilled hot dogs & even though they do not cook their own BBQ, it is really good… & don’t forget the 30 or so flavors of milkshakes they offer like choco-​cherry, chocolate chip mint, peanutbutter fudge or banana just to name a few of my favorites.
For me Cook Out food is worthy of 5 stars in the «fast food» category, but I can only give this location 3 stars because of the number of times my orders have been shorted items or incorrect. This location is the closest to my home so it’s the one I visit the most, I’ve found from previous experiences at this location that it is wise to double check your order before you pull away from the window or you may be setting yourself up for heartache when you get down the road & realize your fries are MIA or the Huge Cheeseburger you ordered somehow became a BLT.
