I went for my first appointment which consisted of a physical and time allotted for a plasma donation. They asked I allot 3 hours total, and I was in and out in under that time. From the moment I walked in, they wasted no time checking me in, checking my vitals, doing my physical, and having me fill out the online paperwork. It was an easy process and they were very friendly and polite. The only reason I gave them 4 stars and not 5 was because they had a coupon running online(which is through their local online check in process) for over two weeks. They would not honor the coupon saying it was a mistake. The girl said sometimes coupons for other areas accidentally get posted, however as I stated earlier this was through their LOCAL login page and after being posted for that amount of time I believe they should have honored it. Still, they offered another coupon(offering less money but still more than a regular donation) so it wasn’t a total loss. If you’ve never donated plasma, its easy. It’s similar to going blood, just longer(about 30 – 45 minutes). Bring music or a laptop, a book, in other words something to do! Also, bring a jacket or a blanket. The donation part was simple, however when they run the saline and coagulant back into me it left a rather yucky taste in my mouth, a quick and temporarily unsettling feeling in my stomach, and boy, was I cold! But it was over and done with in a flash, and I had some extra cash in my pocket.
