Amazing burgers! Buns are apparently made locally just for this restaurant ~ meats smoked on site ~ extensive variety of burgers(pimento cheese, BBQ, etc.) and sandwiches ~ many different ways to get your fries. Friendly staff, ready to educate you on all they offer so you make the choice that is right to you ~ but it’s still very hard to decide! Highly recommend this place ~ we’ll be back!

My son has a friend who lives near this burger spot and he’s eat here several times, This was my first.[Will not be my Last] We hit it at lunch was a little crowded to say the least. He informed me nights and weekends looked the same. Even though it was a busy time of the day some one kept things clean. Order at the counter and fix your own drink. They’ll call your name when it’s done. He settled on the South of the border. Came with cheddar cheese, green chili peppers, crispy onions and fresh salsa, and fries. They have some killer fries, Their cajun seasoning is dead on the spot. I settled for the bacon bacon cheddar came with double bacon double cheddar ketchup, mustard and pickles, I added let-tom, plus some of their fries with the seasoning. The fries are cooked just right not half done. Everything was good. I need to live a little closer as there is so many burgers to choose from. I never even touched the dog side of the menu, Plus salads, beef brisket. I’ll have to try their Ruben next time back, I’m fond of them. Can’t wait to go back.

Food was not great. Place was very dirty. My shoes stuck to the floor. Burger mostly tasted like the grill instead of meat. Will not go again.

This is a 4 star burger place, no questions asked. As far as the French fries or home made chips, not so much. The blue cheese dressing is the worst I’ve ever eaten. Folks that work here are top notch.

Big Burgers. Big Fries. Big Flavor. Go Big at Big Burger Spot. This particular location is the newer and larger location, the original is a smaller place located on Battleground Ave. Both are good. You’ll have more room at the new one, however, I think nostalgia has me convinced that the food is slightly better at the original place. Maybe it is just the extra coatings of burger flavoring on the grills and friers! I will say this… the original location really loads me up with fries on an «almost» order, this location still gives a bunch of fries, but noticably less(still plenty for one person, but maybe not two). The burgers are amazing. As the name implies… they are quite large. They come in three sizes… «Almost»(still large), «Big»(even larger), and Colossal… which is two bigs stacked on top of each other. I have never actually seen anyone order a Colossal burger. I assume it has its own gravitational pull and would be ill advised. But the burgers aren’t just big… they are creative. When someone asks me what I recommend for their first time, as long as they are a cheese fan, I recommend the Pimento cheese burger. Comes with bacon… but I like to add crispy onions and jalapeño relish. That cheese on a hot burger and bun with the crisp of the bacon and onions and the cool vinegary soothing of the relish… absolute win. But, the burgers aren’t the only stars. Their owners and chefs keep coming up with limited run sandwiches and other items that sometimes are so popular they become full-time fixtures. The cult hit right now(which from my understanding is about to become permanent) is the Short Rib sandwich. Slow cooked short rib braised in a coca cola sauce, topped with Vermont white sharp cheddar, crispy onions, onion jam(this stuff is one FDA regulation short of crack), and beefy mayo. I usually hold the mayo and add some pickles… but this sandwich, is easily one of the top 5 sandwiches I have eaten in my ENTIRELIFE. The selection of french fries is also incredible. From stalwarts like bacon cheddar fries, to nacho fries, and then really unique stuff like White Truffle oil fries and pesto Parmesan fries. It’s all great. Just a hint… an almost order is enough for two people, and a big order is enough for four. There are also great milkshakes that come in seasonal flavors, and they are fantastic. Good enough to rival and surpass Cook-Out. What are you waiting for?! Go get something and gush about it to everyone!

We wanted to give this spot a try even after the bad experience at the other one. This place is much nicer inside and was clean. The menu has a ton of great selections and there was so many things I wanted to try. The young lady at the register took our order and was very nice. She up-sold us but we weren’t bad as we appreciated her suggestions. I had the BBQ burger and added pimento cheese and roasted red peppers. I also has the cheddar bacon fries. The burger was a nice size but I had issues with the flavor. All I could taste was the taste of the grill. Same with the peppers. The cheese was nice but I had literally no BBQ sauce in my burger. I didn’t taste it until my last few bites which was bad because it was good flavor in the BBQ sauce. I could only eat about half of it because the flavor of the burger. It was odd. It wasn’t the whole burger but it was most of it. I’m not sure if it was but it wasn’t appetizing. I had the brownie milkshake and I was a bit underwhelmed. We will go back and give it another shot because I love the menu and I’m hoping this visit was a fluke.

This location, the newer of the two, has really come into its own with an excellent level achieved in the quality of both the food and the service. Guy is very much involved at this location, and it shows. The burgers remain the star here, but there are definitely other attractions — the Onion Rings are killer, & the FFs are super, especially when dipped in the Burger Spot dip, which is much like like the midwest style dip found at Freddy’s — basically mayo based with ketchup and perhaps some spices or more — Freddy’s adds some pickle juice, as well! Anyway, this is good stuff. The Brisket and the Pulled Pork are done in house, and are awesome, especially when topped with the house made BBQ sauces. Their version of a Chicago Dog is nice, be sure and ask them to add the jalapeño relish, this will raise the heat level. They also have a very nice, rather messy Short Rib Sandwich going on now. But, our very newest«discovery» is the amazing quality of their Chocolate Milk Shake. Alice and I agree that it is the very best we’ve had in the Triad, and beyond — they used a premium mix, and it is apparent in the smooth, rich flavor that doesn’t fade at the end of the taste sensation. It is thick and rich, and you will need the industrial strength straw they provide.

Went for lunch with a colleague because of the great reviews. It was a great experience. You can smell the charbroil when you pull up. The burger is made to order with lots of topping choices. I had the bacon cheddar burger done medium with all the toppings. So delicious. Fries and onion rings were great. Total recommend it and you can take a lunch break and eat there in reasonable time.

Yummy! We found this location using the positive Unilocal reviews. I loved it! This is a casual place — very family friendly with kids and TV’s up showing sports. I prefer a vegetarian or vegan diet and the staff here was so amazing in talking about their different options. I opted for the black bean burger and ate every bite. My partner chose the classic burger and absolutely loved it. We were both fed and left happy. I also really appreciated how one of the fabulous staff stopped by to chat with us asking where we were from and welcoming us to the restaurant. When I’m back in Greensboro, I’ll definitely try to come back.

It’s really 3.5 stars but, there is no .5 star selection. I had the opportunity today to stop in here and grab a burger from this place which has been on my list of places to try. The décor is sparse and the dining room colors are not pleasing at all. It’s functional and serves the purpose though. To the right when walking in there is a huge wall menu. This place has a large menu for burgers and other sandwiches. Any of the burgers come in various sizes, Almost(1/3lb), Big(½lb), Colossal(1lb). The rest of the menu is filled out with other types of sandwiches and a very extensive fry menu. They best Hops quite easily in what they offer here at Big Burger Spot. Drink menu is standard burger shop fair with Coke being the anchor soft drink. After my last experience at Hops with the veggie patty, I decided to go full on meat today. I ended up with a Big Classic, small order of Applewood bacon and cheddar fries and an Almost sized drink. My dining partner ordered the Colossal Carolina burger and a large order of Nacho Fries(Not sure what was going through his mind as a large order of fries would feed five people with ease). We take our seats and wait about ten minutes for the food. After bringing back the food and looking it over and can’t help but admire how much food there is. We literally have enough to feed a small country. I swear the Colossal Carolina looks to be 8 inches tall! My Big Classic looks like a kiddie burger next to his. The first bite of the burger and I pick up on an odd flavor — a grill flavor that momentarily reminded me of Cook Out. It was as if the bun had had been soaked in charcoal starter and then thrown on the grill. The burger tastes like it was cooked out back behind someone’s house at a bbq. It wasn’t bad but, it wasn’t good either. Chris made quick of the Colossal Carolina and it was gone in under three minutes — it was big and near impossible to put it down so, he did what any respectable Marine would do and held onto it until it was completely gone. He did say it was really good but, that it wasn’t the holy grail of burgers. I wasn’t overly impressed with the«naturally aged cheddar» sauce on the fries. They would have been much tastier with standard nacho cheese sauce. One other complaint is that the Coke flavor from the soft drink machine was running out of syrup and my refill had literally no taste to it. The staff is polite, efficient and downright conversational. They are also attentive of the dining room and the condiment area. The menu is very extensive and because of this, I would try them again but, order something different next time and I would definitely go with the«Almost» size on everything because they just server way too much food on the larger orders. Burger to burger, I think Bad Daddy’s has them beat. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad burger but, it wasn’t the best I have ever had either.

My last visit was a two because the food was not that good and the service wasn’t either. I was meeting with a group of people here and gave this restaurant another shot. To sum up my experience, the service was much better then my last visit, the food was definitely not. I ordered the brisket sandwich and bacon ranch fries. I once again did not like the way the meat was cooked, bland and dry. I had to coat the sandwich in condiments to even make it edible. The fries were abit soggy and bacon was, once again, soft and under cooked. I love burgers, they are my favorite meal. There are sooo many places around here that make a mean one, and more that make a decent one. I just can’t spend anymore money on this food here. This will be the last time I eat here.

Went there tonight for the first time. I happened to find this little gem yesterday getting gas at the Sheetz station and thought I would try it out. Therefore, tonight my wife and I went in and were quite impressed with the burgers and the Texas Brisket Sandwich. This is definitely one restaurant I will come back to time and time again.

The aroma of charring meat leads you from the parking lot to the door. This burger options all seem to be calling my name. So this trip I went classic with tomato, onion, and American cheese(hold the lettuce). I flanked the burger with some Parmesan truffle fries. The burger was cooked perfectly to order and the fries would have been better with just seasoning salt this trip. the truffle oils was poured instead of drizzled and the Parmesan cheese was sprinkle on prior to serving so it didn’t have time to grab hold of the fries and it just fell off into the bottom of the tray. I loved my burger and the fries good, while the toppings were okay. next visit I will opt for a bigger burger and maybe hold the fries, MAYBE :) In my Top 5 burger spots in GSO(the other BBS is on the list too).

This is a great burger joint. We tried the Classic, Mediterranean and Swiss Melt burgers with cajun seasoned fried. The burgers were great and the fries too. The service was good and helpful. The restaurant is simple and clean. I’d be visiting again.

I really struggled with how to rate Big Burger Spot now having dined in once as well as ordering take out once. The location on Nicholas is nice with ample parking, definitely an improvement over the original store on Battleground. I’ve ordered both the Backyard BBQ and Pimento Cheese burgers and both were very good, cooked well, but just not great. I enjoyed both, but they didn’t leave me with a strong desire to come back, like I get at Hops or even Emma Keys. Grabbed the Parmesan Garlic fries once and an order of regular fries once and again, they’re good, but just not that memorable. The burgers and fries are good, don’t get me wrong, but there are better options in Greensboro if you truly want the best. However, sometimes the best requires a very long wait(Hops, I’m looking at you), so places like Big Burger Spot can carve out a niche as a nice alternative that still gives you a rewarding meal.

I was very excited to try out Big Burger Spot because of it’s fantastic reviews. I left somewhat disappointed. The food was slightly less than average. I ordered an almost sized classic cheeseburger and the white truffle Parmesan fries. The cheeseburger was dry and slightly overcooked. I enjoy French fries with white truffle oil and Parmesan cheese, but these fries were floating in truffle oil. They were pretty soggy. My biggest complaint was the customer service. We dined in about an hour before they closed… and that was definitely a poor choice. It seemed like the workers were pissed by our presence. I said hi to the cashier when we were walking up to order and she just stared at me and didn’t respond. I wanted so badly to like this place… but Big Burger just left a bad taste in my mouth. I may try it out again someday to see if it was a fluke.

I love this place. Everyone is very friendly that works here and when you pick up a take-out order, they call everything out to you to make sure it’s what you got. On my dine in visit, I got the Carolina burger, and a side salad. I have never gotten such a big side salad at any place before, the salad was huge! And for only $ 3.29 it was a great deal, and came with a homemade dressing(I got Greek dressing and it was flavorful and delicious). This is the type of place that would be on the show«diners drive-ins and dives» on food network The hamburger was cooked to my specification, and had a really good flavor to it, definitely tasted like something I couldn’t make it home! It could have used a little bit more slaw, but overall it was very tasty. The condiment bar there is great– they have barbecue sauce, Lexington style barbecue sauce, and a few other things along with mustards and ketchup. My friend ordered the chocolate fudge milkshake and it was divine. It was the best chocolate milkshake I’ve ever had! This is a really good place to come if you want great food that’s homemade and a casual atmosphere.

Oh Big Burger Spot. I really thought you could not disappoint but this visit was a bit sad. We came here with my in-laws to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and we usually LOVE this place. Today was a slight exception. My husband and I got burgers while the in-laws got chili with fries and tenders. They really liked their choices. However both mine and my husband’s burgers were not good. The meat was dried out, barbecue(Smokehouse Burger) had no flavor or no sauce to it, and both of our burgers were cold almost(I could touch the bun and it felt cold like it had been in the fridge) We also noticed the majority of cooks were new and they were arguing with someone who had been there for a while. Big Burger Spot I love you. Please let this be a one time thing.
