The Look Spa Salon

I love this salon! Doreen and Lori are amazing! First of all, Doreen all uses only natural and holistic style products with better results than any other salon I’ve ever been too. If you want to try something funky or not, Doreen will work with you. I recently went to her with hopes that I could put rainbow colors in my close to black hair and she made this a reality. The whole staff is incredibly friendly and warm. Lori is the nail artist. She is super creative and will draw anything you ask on your nails. She is also incredibly warm and open, unlike other nail artist I have been to in the past. These guys are the real deal. They are all truly passionate about their craft.

I seriously love this salon. I come here to get my nails done by Lori. She is absolutely amazing and her nail art is outstanding. She is a true nail artist and technician. The secretary Andrea is so nice and always makes you feel welcome in the salon. Love this place, if you want a serious piece of art on your nails visit Lori!

I have been going to this salon about two months and the difference in my hair is amazing. After a bad keratin somewhere near my house, 30 minutes away, I researched on google and found Doreen and the Look salon. They are very inviting and the salon is beautiful. Worth the drive. Doreen sat and explained exactly what went wrong and how to fix it. I love her confidence. She DID fix it and I then let her cut my hair (I am not good with change or change of hairdresser) but boy did I make the right decision. She gave me an amazing cut. Then I let her color next time and again so happy with the results. I now go to her for all my hair needs, and trust her with my hair. She is a sweetie to as well as everyone in the salon.

If not for livinghuntington I dont think I would’ve found this great salon. I usually go in the city but figure i should start checking some things out in Long Island as well. Great find :)
We bought a livinghuntington deal for ear candling, never tried it before and we were curious… we werent really sure what to expect.
So the salon and spa is pretty much right by the Greenlawn train station and a tiny bit off the main road. It’s got a few parking spaces which is nice. Inside it’s bright & spacious, has a seating area where you can watch people get their hair styled while you wait.
Reception is very nice. Once they’re ready for you, the spa is in the back through a frosted door. It’s a new addition that’s apparently about a yr old so everything back there looks new and nice. You pass a couple nail stations in the back before going through the door. In the spa it’s quieter and has some seating in there as well.
Treatment rooms are the usual size, the beds are comfy and the aesthetician is really nice. She’s friendly and tells you exactly what she’s going to do. Our hour there flew by (30 mns each). Experience wasnt that scary considering the open flame coming down at your ear and was quite relaxing. I’d go back for the online deal price, altho not sure i’d pay $ 40 for it (full price). The other spa treatments (massages, facials, body wraps, etc) looked good tho and the prices werent bad either. Might have to do that!
On our way out they had gift bags for us which i thought was awesome! The salon has their own line of products so we got the welcome sampler. Love that!
Everyone was really nice and friendly and made us want to go back. The hubs was even interested in checking out their mens haircut specials. :)

The salon itself is fantastic. They manufacture their own line, which I was hesitant about. But, I am sold on the quality – Their products are awesome. I have very sensitive skin, and no problems with hair color and really love their customizable shampoos!
The people there are so nice. Very warm and welcoming. They run on-​schedule and you are pretty much are in and out. What I love is they are passionate about their craft. They really listen to your needs and wants for color or cut – I love not feeling like they are up-​selling to make more money – definitely makes me trust them even more.

I won a free hair & makeup trial through a Long Island wedding website, so I had no idea what to expect when I went to The Look.
I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful interior of the salon and the friendly and accommodating staff. Myself and the other brides had a wonderful time and were truly pampered by the talented team of hair and makeup artists. Cathy did my hair and gave me some great tips about growing my hair out and getting some extensions for my wedding. She was such a sweetheart, as was Doreen, the owner, who was also doing hair that night.
From what I saw, The Look is a full service salon, offering everything from facials and massages to eyelash perms and extensions. I will definitely be back for a mani/​pedi and maybe a spray tan soon!
