Why does home improvement need to be so darn painful? We charge for this, we charge for that. We need to special order this and we don’t know when we will have that… I am still not sure which is the better of two evils between Home Depot and Lowes. They all stink if you ask me! If you go later in the evening the specialists in the departments are not there and those that are there to help have as much of a clue as I do. I have had to return more than 50% of the stuff I have purchased because the employees here have recommended the incorrect items. Take it for what it is and if possible order smaller items online at a place like Amazon.

Lowe’s is one of the few places you can buy a toilet seat nowadays. They had a range of toilet seats available, from $ 7 to about $ 35. I chose a good quality seat for $ 15 that costs three to four more dollars at other stores. All their seats were white or off-white, except for one wooden seat. I would like to see blues and greens included, as well as more options for round seats. The clerk at check-out was polite and efficient. No one hovered over me when I was shopping, and I appreciated that. I also appreciate that this Lowe’s is right off I-95. Its convenient location was a major reason why I chose to stop here.

I was price shopping dryers at numerous stores. I walked around their displays and took a look at what they had. The prices were comparable w/other stores. I walked over to the kiosk for assistance and an employee says with out looking away fro his screen while typing«Is there something I can help you with?» I said politely«yes, if you have time, I’m looking to get a dryer but I had some questions» «I’m busy but what is your question» «I just wanted to pick someone’s brain and get your best prices» «He rudely replies«Well the prices are noted on the big stickers on each dryer» SERIOUSLY?! Mean while he’s not even looking away from his computer. I stood there for as second insulted and replied«well, yes, I get that» He interrupts me and says«well what did you want to know then» Mind you he’s not even looking at me. I finally lost it on the guy. I said«You know I’m not stupid, I know how to read and what price signs are, I simply wanted to get your idea on brand and options and then get your expert opinion(hes’s paid to have one right) on the best value and deal for my needs. Why ask if you can help and then tell me to read signs?» He then got wicked defensive and I said«You know what, I’m good. Way to loose a sale buddy» Suddenly now he wanted to help me and walked way from his computer! All he needed to say was«Hello, I’m just finishing up something and I’ll be with you in a minute» I was standing there trying to get anyones attention I was just there quitely waiting my turn. Needless to say they lost a big sale as I promptly went to State Street Discounters. I spent $ 100 more form dryer but had a better experiene. I also ended up buy $ 3700 in appliances to outfit my kitchen remodel. In the words of Julia Roberts«Big Mistake… BIGMISTAKE»

I dealt with a guy named Carl in electrical. He was really rude, uninformed and he smelled of unshowered armpits. Stay clear of this aisle if you do not want nightmares.

Well I was here I interacted with 4 employees had to do a return and pick up some stuff. The return lady was very rude and not willing to work with me. How ever the 3 other employes I interacted with all made it really easy for me to find what I needed quickly. Other then that it’s a clean store with 75% nice people.
