Friendly, well trained staff from the minute you enter the door! Our server Dottie was very sweet and represented the restaurant and her manager well. The grilled cheese and tomato soup was delicious. The friend fish was light and crispy. I don’t frequently go to Fatz but this location is top notch!

Had a decent experience here. This was about the only decent place to eat within walking distance of my hotel. I am generally satisfied with all Fatz restaurants I have been in, and this was no exception. The Happy Hour special isn’t really happy. They tout that the large beer is only $ 1 more than the 16 oz beer, but at $ 6 a pop, I wouldn’t call that special, and it certainly doesn’t make me happy. My food was good. I had chicken with a baked potato and broccoli. I wanted to substitute the baked potato for the rice, but apparently, that costs an extra $ 3. I wasn’t notified when I ordered to potato that it would cost extra, so I told the bartender. She took it off the tab, which was the right thing to do. Without many other options in the area, if staying here again, I would go back.

Calabash chicken is the bomb! Plenty of healthy options as well. When dining solo, the bar area offers great service and a friendly staff.

The lady at the front desk or the hotel I stayed in recommended. There was a little wait but not bad. Wonderful food and the waiter was precious. He seemed truly excited to have me try Calabash chicken :).

We ended up leaving after sitting at our table for twenty five minutes of no service. People were being seated around us, having their drink orders taken while we sat, looking for our waitress who just disappeared. We would catch her in passing refilling other tables drinks, sweeping, but never stopping at our table. Unprofessional and inexcusable, especially after having waited for a table for so long only to be ignored. Highly disappointed, will not be returning to this Fatz location. Very upset and angry.

Very disappointed in management and Fatz as a corporation. My aging parents ordered take out for 4 of us to thank us for driving 4 hours to come help them with some household chores. When my father returned with the food, the order was wrong and he acted a little embarrassed, he was trying to do something nice for us. I took the receipt and called the store after we left and the manager was too busy to take my call, the lady I spoke with took my info for the manager to return call. Of course that never happened. I came home and filed a complaint with the corp office still have heard nothing… They OBVIOUSLY don’t care. I would rather not support such a company. Food is not always just a meal. 11.10.2015 — Update — well I have to admit that I was very disappointed and may not have given corporate enough time to reach out to the individual location as I did receive a very nice response from corporate via email and I rec’d a phone call from the owner of this location who admitted they dropped the ball. We are all human and it happens but I am very glad that they did care enough to reach out and apologize. Thank you Fatz!

Based on Unilocal reviews we went to Fatz for dinner in Greeneville. The waiter was great with lots of personality. The service was excellent. The highly recommended Calabash chicken was fine, but honestly I didn’t taste a significant difference from other chicken. The salad was not memorable. The poppyseed rolls were tasty and I think my husband’s Parmesan chicken pasta was a good choice. I’d go again try another selection. At this point I can’t be as enthusiastic as other reviewers.

I highly recommend this place for their great southern hospitality and amazing food! Thanks, Zach, for your great customer service! Thanks, Tammy, for adding to that with your peach cobbler! Their poppyseed bread and cinnamon butter just melted in my mouth! And finally their calabash chicken was a-mazing!!! Until next time…

Order the peach cobbler with ice cream and be ready to slide out of your seat because your tastebuds will be in for a ride of their lives! Ask for Zack and he will definitely attend to your every food requirements. Thanks again, Tammy! DELICIOUS!

Working in Greeneville, TN this week when the cold snap hit. For lunch we wanted something warm like soup. Unilocal led us to Fatz. It might be a chain… it felt like a chain but I’d never heard of it before. In any event, it seemed like your basic American fare restaurant… kind of like O’Charley’s, you get the idea. They had 3 soup choices that day and I went with the Tuscan Tomato and it was delicious and filled the need for warm comfort food on a cold day just fine. I was going to order a cobb salad as well but the waiter was a good salesperson and convinced me to try the Calabash Chicken Salad. Turns out, Calabash means fried… but the chicken was really good and juicy. I asked them to leave off the three kinds of cheese listed in the salad’s description and to sub them with avocado. Lunch was good and gotta give the waiter props for actually being invested in his job. I’ll probably visit again in a couple weeks when I’m back in town.

One of the better restaurants in the area in terms of food quality and service. As a first timer, you get to try their world famous calabash chicken which is amazingly good and you also get to sample their peach cobbler. The rest of the menu has just your basic chain restaurant options but there is something for everyone. I’d personally stay away from the healthy options, as they had no flavor, but everything else seemed pretty good. I forgot to mention their poppy seed biscuits and sweet butter. They are too good not to mention and you can’t eat just one.

Been here twice when I was here twice. Nothing less than awesome! Got the endless ribs with bbq corn on the cob and was not disappointed! Right next to the Hampton and Quality Inns and so delicious! A must eat in Greeneville!

I’m not from around here — California, to be exact — but I absolutely loved the food here. My mom and I came during lunch and I got the lunch special with tomato soup and a baked sweet potato. The portions were great and it was delicious, especially for the price. If I’m ever back in Greeneville, I’ll be sure to return!

Enjoyed my salmon, which was tasty and cooked perfectly. But I’m deducting a star for my daughter’s very dry citrus chicken. Like that they have some healthy options, overall a nice menu with something for everyone.

Fats is one of the better restaurant I have had the chance to eat at. The chicken strips are the best I have ever had and the rolls are awesome. This place should make Greeneville very proud. The service was excellent, as good or better than a lot of high end restaurants.

Fatz is a decent place for rich tasting food. I only went here because it was right next to the Hampton Inn while on a business trip. It was convenient. It reminded me of an overly expensive Chili’s. I ate at the bar and the service was slow. The bartender wasn’t that busy, but he was slow to serve anyone. I had the shrimp dinner and it was good. The shrimp was tasty, but the rice was blah. I had a beer and glass of wine with dessert. I had the brownie sundae for dessert and it was very good, but a bit rich for my T-buds. The prices were quite higher than expected.

Traveling through Greeneville & wasn’t expecting much when we pulled in, but was I wrong! They do have plenty of the fried, unhealthy fare this area, apparently, requires BUT they had plenty of healthy choices, too. Fresh spinach salad with fish was great & I had baked sweet potato for dessert. ;) And the service was amazing! So attentive & eager to please. Marissa went out of her way to make us happy. Never heard of poppyseed biscuits, but they taste like donuts?! Tried to eat just one. ;)
