Gloria Jean’s Coffee Bean

I wish Gloria Jeans had more locations. Their coffee isn’t super strong like Starbucks. It also is pretty sweet which I like! My favorite is the white chocolate cookie blended drink.

I will go out of my way, every day, yes every single day, for my mocha voltage espresso chiller at this glorious place!

This diamond in the rough is located on the second floor of Southridge mall I think next to Gamestop. I do not go here as much as I used to but whenever I do visit they never fail to impress me. My mom used to take me here as a kid and for the most part they have always maintained the ability to make stellar drinks!
Most recently my gf got their pumpkin spice latte which (sorry Starbux) is oz for oz a better latte! It tasted so good I almost got one for myself! I usually get mocha frappes or some type of cookie chiller when I go and it just blows my socks off with that first sip!
I like the simple café set up at Gloria Jeans and some of the artistic designs they have on the chalk board above the bar. Usually there is a line of people but nothing too ridiculous to turn you away from stopping in for a good drink. I only wish there were more Gloria Jean stores outside the mall… if there are someone please let me know!

I absolutely love this place! I get the same thing every time because it’s so delicious. I have tried a couple sips of some of their other things if I go there with my husband or a friend. Those things are pretty good too.
They have a lot of cool and funny mugs for sale too. I haven’t bought any because I have too many coffee mugs as it is but I good enjoyment out of looking at them.
I stop here every time I am at the mall and I always get the white chocolate caramel cookie chiller.

This place has awesome coffee mugs. I never buy them and I don’t know why. But I always come in, spend ten minutes looking at the mugs and then make an order without grabbing one like it’s some sort of museum. Maybe next time around I’ll grab an Iron Man mug.
Anyways, Gloria Jean’s makes pretty damn good iced coffee drinks. I’ll stop in for something different than the regular ol’ Starbucks in the mall and I’m never disappointed. I don’t even like iced coffee, but for some odd reason I love it here. It’s less like iced coffee and more like a milkshake. Thus was the case with the Ultimate Cookie Chiller Espresso drink on this trip which was absolutely amazing. It’s like mixing cookies n’ cream ice cream with coffee.
Hey, how about some velvet ropes in here, or any ropes or at least a «Enter Here» sign? This place almost always has a line, but last time I was here there wasn’t. I got behind the one person in line and a lady started a totally opposite line on the other side of the person in front of me. She tried to cut in front of me even though I was clearly there first. Good thing I was pushing the baby stroller. No one runs over a baby stroller. Checkmate dipstick.
This leads to more problems with this place. I order my drink, the barista asks if I want whipped cream and caramel. I said «whipped cream yes, but no caramel.» I get my drink, and it has caramel on it. This has happened to me here more than once.
Beyond not listening, the employees here range from nice to energetic to over enthusiastic to just plain rude. I remember one time not too long ago here a guy working the counter was so desperate for laughs he ended up creating an ackward moment in the whole store and slightly offended me to the point where I stayed away for a year or so. What is this, Clerks? Get a reign on your employees GJ!
Still a decent place to get a coffee, hot or iced.

Great mochas! Friendly staff. Usually a steady flow of customers.

Good coffee drinks but no place to sit near by. A pick up n go place. I’d go back for the beverage but won’t go there if hanging out with someone.
