Wow! What an excellent stop! On the advice of a friend, we stopped by to pick up some bacon.(Which they smoke themselves, and which is excellent.) Little did we know that this was a full-fledged butcher and lunch stand. So, after picking up twice as much bacon as we planned to, as well as a particularly piggish selection of sausage, we ordered a burger and some pulled pork and ate lunch right out on their porch! And then, when we got home, we smoked the sausage. Yum! Scobee’s is now our go-to butcher — and not a bad place to stop for lunch, either! (Note: They’re on the South-West corner of the intersection of US-231 and US-36, just about 7 miles north of Greencastle. A bit hard to spot from the street, but they’re right behind all the Amish construction stuff.)
