Great local road course for motorcycle and car track days /racing. Facility is clean and the staff is very courteous. Asphalt is in decent shape for 2014.

Riding Putnam Park Road Course on a sportbike was super fun! It has all the great components of a great track — long straightaway, smooth flowing section, and a more technical section. Turn 7(a.k.a. bus stop) scares the crap out of me! Turn 7 to Turn 10 is pretty technical, but I love it. I also love how flowing Turn 1 – 6 are! It really feels great. The track is pretty narrow, but after a few laps around you get a feel of your brake markers and turning points. The whole park itself is very picturesque. A white fence surrounds Putnam Park and spectators can watch from either the lovely, air-conditioned tower or bleachers near the straightaway and hot pit lane. The bathroom facilities are mediocre. Either the water or toilet bowls are stained brown, but hey you’re not living there right? It just creeps you out a little when you head to the bathroom. In the women’s bathroom, there’s only one sink to wash your hands so be prepared to wait. Putnam Park has a concession stand with great food selections. They only accept cash though so come prepared(there are no ATMs on site). There is also a souvenir stand with hats, tees, keychains, and the like. GARAGES! The garages are a new addition this year. They are REALLYREALLYNICE! They are new and sparkling clean. We were able to rent the garages through our group. It is one big garage with separate entrances — there are no separations between you and your garage neighbor. There’s electricity included with your garage fee though which is great to power fans on hot days. There are strict rules you have to follow if you use the garages though. For example, you CANNOT refuel your vehicle within the garage. You can’t store your gas cans in the garage either. Camping is not allowed at this track. There is a campground nearby and also nearby motels. Plan your stay and get up early to get in line to enter the park the next day. Usual spectator/rider entrance fees apply. Pit lane directions are clearly marked on the pavement. Saw advertisements that they are building a new restaurant within the park called«The Clubhouse.» It seems fancy and like a great place to have a sit-down meal, especially if you are not riding/driving on the track. Gives spectators another thing to do other than sit in the hot sun watching family/friends on the track. I can’t wait to see the new«clubhouse.» It seems the clubhouse is only for club members. I would join if I lived closer!
