Service is lousy; rude and indifferent– worst is «Hunter» –what a dbag– buy liquor across the street at Kroger for better prices and infinitely better service

The new store is far superior than their old one. Big, bright, and full of great beers now.
Their pricing is a bit on the steep side but overall not too shabby. They carry some Indiana beers in the form of Oaken Barrel, Three Floyds, Upland, and Barely Island. Hoping to see Sun King soon! Decent Import Selection too like Paulaner, Franziskaner, and Spaten.
Best place to buy beer in Putnam County.

Better known as «The Crotch», this is pretty much the only dedicated alcohol store in Greencastle… you can generally buy beer or other «light» alcohol at Walmart or Kroger for much cheaper, but as far as heavy alcohol goes, The Crotch has a much wider selection, and usually better prices as well.
If you are a DePauw student, they will usually check your birthday on the university listing… pretty much the only place I’ve seen the university list being used.

It’s called «The Crotch» by its liquor-​loving DePauw patrons, which is probably what caused all the confusion when my mom called shortly after my 21^st birthday asking why Kork & Keg had charged my credit card $ 80-​some dollars (never mind the confusion of why she was looking at my statement or why she would care if I was legal, but ANYWAY)… The Crotch is gross to say but can satisfy pretty much all of your alcohol needs. The guy at the counter gives girls shit sometimes (other girls may call this «flirting»), but was also nice enough to say «Have fun and be careful» when I made my first large legal purchase. Don’t go expecting a beauteous store like Kafka or even Binny’s – just buy your stuff and try not to kill anyone on the way out of the parking lot – it’s a tricky one.
