Cheryl Huang – Marin Aesthetica

My friend June (see review below) recommended Dr. Huang and I have been delighted with everything she has done for me so far. Since she is a physician (not an aesthetician or nurse) whose office is located in a women’s practice, she is professional, caring and skilled. I appreciated that time she spent getting to know me on my initial visit, and have experienced the same feeling in subsequent visits. She listens and cares about her patients. As others have mentioned, she is conservative regarding her recommendations and I have never felt like she is trying to sell me on more than I need. She has treated me with Botox, and also Juvederm as I prepare for my 40^th high school reunion, and I feel confident that no one will suspect I’ve had anything done, which is great! I have been to quite a few medi-​spas and doctors over the years for similar services, and she is the best by far. Because she is part of a medical practice and I am not in that network, there was a one-​time payment of $ 150 for the initial consultation, but after that I have found her pricing extremely reasonable and unlike other practitioners, it seems like she charges for the precise amount I need, rather than charging by the vial or some other quantity (which seems to encourage over doing it, or overcharging). I cannot recommend Cheryl highly enough!

Agree with all the other Unilocalers. Cheryl is amazing. She is thoughtful, extremely capable, keeps up on the latest advice, and takes a holistic approach to health and skin care. Cheryl has been taking care of my skin for at least six years now and things are holding up without any risky or expensive treatments. Even better, Cheryl is delightful to be around and genuinely caring. You will never feel like she’s encouraging something inappropriate for you or your skin. As good as it gets!

Loved her from the get go! Dr. Huang likes to be called by her first name: Cheryl. She is genuine, thoughtful down-​to-​earth, EXPERTLY SKILLED, and sincerely cares about my health and well being. I have seen Cheryl for several years and my skin is in fabulous shape — healthy and natural, and I’m over 50. I recommend her wholeheartedly, especially if you’re waffling on whether of not to try botox or other derm treatments. Cheryl will make you feel completely at ease, comfortable and educated about your decision. Why’d you put it off so long?!

Love her! Been seeing her for a few years (I’m in my mid-​forties) and just using the Theraderm line has helped me a lot. She really gets to know every patient and listens and makes recommendations but is very conservative and does not push procedures. Anything I have done with her has delivered great results. Highly recommend her. My only hesitation in leaving a great review is that if more people figure out how awesome she is, I won’t be able to get an appointment…

In addition to her newly adorned ears, I feel like my daughter was able to spend some time in the presence of an amazing role model. A great experience for us both.
I soon paid a visit to Dr. Huang myself, for a medi-​facial and botox. As the other reviewers say, she is excellent. My skin was truly renewed. For not much more than I would have spent on a fancy spa-​day facial, my face was brought back to life!
The Botox injections were so subtle, and the entire visit was enjoyable. Dr. Huang is so personable, so warm. I have found my doctor!

Thoughtful, intelligent, and smart doctor who is passionate about healthy skin. Couldn’t be a nicer person too! Dr. Huang takes a whole patient approach… during her initial consultation, she’ll spend time asking questions and listening to your concerns in order to get a sense for your lifestyle/​habits; she will tell you you MUST rest, exercise, eat well, etc, in order to have healthy skin. You already know that, but she really brings it home! I appreciate her knowledge and conservative approach. You also really get a sense that she herself, practices what she preaches. She knows the industry and knows which skincare products are more marketing than science. If you seek to be in & out quickly, loaded up with arsenal of products (many of which contain preservatives/​parabens you may not want on your skin, your largest organ!), and a costly treatment plan «prescribed» by a nurse, not a doc, just go the (many) Medi-​Spas around Marin for that. You know you’re paying for marketing, right? I’ve only visited her once, but I tell you, it’s working already…

Dr Huang is as caring and personable as they come. Although she is a plastic surgeon by training, she is now focused on boutique skin care and anti-​aging for women. She doesn’t push unnecessary procedures and will keep you looking beautiful and natural. Couldn’t recommend her highly enough. In fact my daughter recently had a playground accident, and she went out of her way to see us on a weekend (I was concerned about scarring). That’s the kind of doctor she is. Go see her, you won’t regret it (unless your goal is to look like Joan Rivers… if that’s the case, she is not the doctor for you)!
