Meli Melo Pizza is delicious! Great thin crust pizza. Can hardly wait to return for more.

Good pizza. Good service. The owner is very friendly and he chats with you while you wait for take-​out.

I ordered a meal and it took over 2 hours to get here. Cheese bread was cold, salad was warm, and I received 7 out of 8 wings. The wings were ok. Maybe would be better if I pick up but delivery was kinda the point. Would have rather cooked something at home.

I ordered a large meat lovers pizza which is $ 17.99 and on the pizza there was only ham pepperoni and a few scraps of bacon. No ribeye steak, no sausage, no bleu cheese… hey what? I ordered on grubhub and I was refunded four bucks and issued an apology by grubhub autresponders. Anyways the pizza tasted okay. I also ordered the crab dip. To me tasted off and possibly spoiled.

The pizza: So much better than your average take-​out! We just got a regular pepperoni pizza but it hit the spot! It had crust the way I like it, not thin but not thick either. Most importantly, the sauce was good!
The crab dip: don’t. It’s not good.
The service: Great! We drove up right on time and had our order in a few minutes. The guy at the counter was interested in our feedback about the place until he found out we hadn’t been there before. It’s nice that they care what their customers think and ask directly.
I’ll definitely order from here again!

The calzones were delicious, however they didn’t get one of them right. My order was ham, Italian sausage, and black olives, my husband’s was Italian Sausage, meatballs, and banana peppers. Mine was perfect, however my husband got ham, Italian sausage, meatballs, and black olives. I was told the delivery would be about 45 minutes. At the one hour mark, I phoned the restaurant, and was told it was on its way. At the hour and a half mark, I called back, and again it was «on its way», and whoever it was that I was talking to said he was going to call the driver and instruct him to refund half our money. I said I had already paid on a credit card, he said, that’s OK, he will give it to you in cash. The driver, when he got here half an hour later, knew nothing about a refund, and when I checked my bank website, there was no refund on the card either. So, the food was great, although one order was wrong, delivery took TWO HOURS, and we never got that refund.
Will I order from them again? Not by remote, but perhaps I might stop there if I’m out and about and want to take dinner home.

I want to give them more stars because the owner was so nice but the pizza was just OK. I went BC they have the Unilocal deal but I was not impressed with the pizza.

As many of the residents of the Lanham/​Greenbelt area already know, GOOD delivery options are scarce around these parts. I was lucky to have stumbled across this restaurant while browsing GrubHub and I must say it was a very pleasant surprise.
After reading reviews, browsing the menu and flipping through pictures I finally was convinced that this place might’ve been worth a shot. Many of MM’s menu items caught my eye but it was the Crab Pizza that eventually won me over.
I placed my order through GrubHub and received confirmation, via text, that my order had been received and that it would arrive to me in about an hour or so. An entire HOUR!!! I’m hungry NOW! A little annoyed, but I decided not to make a big fuss about it. I just called the store to make sure this was correct. Once the receptionist told me it was correct that my order would take an hour to arrive, I left it alone and found something to do to occupy my time. After all, this pizza is homemade and not frozen like other chain pizza places.
About 45 minutes pass and I hear a knock at the door. The delivery guy was very nice & pleasant as I asked him to wait to make sure my order was correct (I said I read the reviews lol), he complied. I have him his tip and he was on his way.
The pizza was soooo GOOD! I had four slices. It was fresh, light, generous crabmeat (not Lump crabmeat as advertised though, it’s more like backfin/​special), cheesy, and not too saucy. I couldn’t stop eating the pizza. It was as close to heaven as I think I’ve ever gotten. This pizza was so good that next day I ordered another crab pizza.
Today I decided to try the lobster ravioli and a regular pepperoni & Italian sausage pizza. The pizza didn’t disappoint but the ‘lobster’ ravioli definitely did. This ravioli tasted like a frozen dinner and came in a very little container. Definitely not worth the $ 10.95!
In all, Meli Melo Pizza is a nice change from the usual delivery spots in this area. I would suggest sticking to the pizza if you do decide to try it out.

Ordered on grubhub. The Bruschetta was great for being from a pizza joint. Pizza is good. Not great, but good. Not too greasy. Will order food again. Prices are fairly cheap as well.

This place makes the best pizza in the area. I have ordered from here about 6 times in the past 4 months. I had problems with two of those orders. The restaurant manager made good on both problems. The first one involved the food arriving very, very late. The second was also very late, but the pizza also arrived disheveled, pieces stuck to the top of the box like it had been shaken repeatedly. They also gave me the wrong soda.
Without the way the management handles these issues, the restaurant would get a bad review from me. The food is fantastic, especially their pizza. But they need to do something about the drivers when they arrive late countless times.

I tried Meli Melo for the first time today because of a Unilocal deal. I’ll definitely be returning, with or without coupons.
I ordered a medium pesto pizza and it was really tasty. It had the right amount of all of the toppings without any one flavor being too overwhelming. My husband ordered a medium meat lovers pizza. The toppings were generous, though he did say that the bleu cheese was a bit muted. Take that review lightly, though, because he loves a lot of bleu cheese on just about anything.
The mediums are reasonably sized and we have plenty of pizza left over.
I’m looking forward to trying some of their other pizza combos.

Great food and excellent service. We ordered the Pesto Pizza and spinach artichoke dip. He accidentally made the spinach pocket, but let us keep it and made the spinach dip for us in about 5 minutes. All of the food was very good, especially the pizza (plenty of pesto!).
The owner came out to ask us to try the food when we did a pickup order. It was delicious and he just seemed so excited about sharing his food. Awesome place, and definitely the pizza joint I’ll be hitting up when I get a craving in the future.

WOWWEE! Talk about customer service. After seeing my last update, Mr. Bakeer (the owner), contacted me privately on Unilocal and offered to make the situation right. I called him and he was so apologetic, I can’t even begin to tell you. Mr. Bakeer exemplifies what every small business owner should be! Not to mention… He PERSONALLY came and delivered our pizza tonight. I could not be more impressed. Meli Melo’s has certainly sold us on their incredible food and passionate ownership.

2 pizzas, a salad and a «crabcake» $ 50.00 pizzas were ok. Salad was terrible, crabcake sandwich was bun with a mini crabcake with shell included. — not worth the wait (1+ Hour delivery time)

Ordered delivery via GrubHub. It took an hour before we decided to call the store – apparently they were short drivers for the night and though they informed GH, their page on the site wasn’t updated. Additionally, we were surprised they would even deliver to us, as many places in College Park don’t.
We shouldn’t have had to call the store to find out what was going on. They should have called us and given the option to cancel the order – which we would have because we were hungry and didn’t want to wait.
Almost two hours passed before we finally got our food. Neither the guy on the phone or the driver seemed that apologetic, and they certainly didn’t have much customer service – we paid full price for cold food, without so much of an offer to comp something on our bill.
I can’t rate the food because after having to nuke my lasagna, it tasted like a frozen meal. The tiramisu was good but I doubt they make it in house – the quality just seemed rather uniform compared to everything else about our order.
Considering how far away we are, I doubt we’ll even get a chance to give this place another chance – either they or GH will change their delivery radius. I probably won’t order from them again, based on lack of customer service alone. C’mon, at least comp us something or let us cancel our order rather than getting cold food!

I had great hopes, since moving back into the area & this (cute looking from the outside — nice eye-​catching sign) place recently opened to replace what had been a Dominos… I ordered the «Italian» pizza & the Meli Melo salad. Pizza is described on the menu as «fresh tossed» (dough, presumably) pizza w sundered tomato, black olive, rosemary oil, fresh basil, & «fresh» buffalo mozzarella… well, there WERE sliced canned olives on top… as for the rest — NO DICE… even the crust tasted pre-​made with those telltale markings from a machine-​roller i guess. Honestly, I’ve made much better pizza at home, using dough that I bought from a del fresh-​tossed pizza-​joint. I have a pretty well-​developed palate & even tasted NO HINT whatsoever of rosemary. Their cheese was rubbery, certainly NOT fresh…& Buffalo Mozz– Don’t insult me!
Delivery-​time was good, though.
I thought for a minute to take it back to complain, but thought it wasn’t even worth my time, since they obviously either don’t have the quality ingredients they pretend to, or otherwise simply don’t care enough about quality-​control.

I received a phone call from the manager. I thought this was a scam at first but after, what I assume, reading my post Meli Melo’s wanted to re-​deliver what I had ordered in addition to items of my choice. I’m very pleased with their customer service and this didn’t cost me a cent.
In addition to the previously re-​ordered items I also ordered the Spinach pocket and the Caprese Salad. This time the fries were thoroughly cooked and tasted good. The pita bread was also good and didn’t taste like smoke. The hummus was good too and not as salty as before. The eggplant I think I just don’t care for because of personal preference, not any fault of their own. I really really liked the spinach pocket which was huge and tasty and the caprese salad was great and flavorful.
They were still way behind schedule when it came to getting it here on time but it was free so I’m not bothered.
Thank you Melo’s for your great customer service– I’ll come back for the Spinach and Caprese again.

Really thrilled to have decent pizza delivery in Greenbelt. The thin crust pizza is really good, nice sauce, good amount of cheese. Toppings were generous without being overly heavy.
The chicken wings were a bit disappointing– they are more like local Chinese restaurant wings, instead of buffalo wings.

I live within 4 blocks of this place. They placed an ad in the News Review for a 2 @5.99 speciall. I ordered 2 before Mon Nite Football.
So bad we only finished half before throwing away. My stomach and intestines still hurt this morning. It the attempt was to gain a long term customer they failed badly.
For the record i ordered roasted red pepper/​spinach on one and sausage/​green pepper on other.
