As a Greenbelt resident I get tired of the crowds at the La Fitness gym in Greenway Center. The fitness center here is the best.
I never have to wait for a cardio machine. There are 2 rooms for cardio with different machines. The weight room has older equipment but I don’t care because the weight room is never packed with men looking to hunt female prey as they do in most gyms. The weight machines get the job done.
I cannot speak for the pools because I strictly use this center to workout.

The pool is located in ‘old town’ greenbelt, next to the library and the community center. There’s plenty of parking.
There are two indoor pools-one is shallow and another deeper with about 6 lanes (maybe more maybe less) and an area for general swimming. The womens locker room –which is on the smaller side– has three stalled showers and some open showers. There aren’t any stalls just for changing. Overall the locker room and pool are clean. Daily pass for a greenbelt resident is $ 4.75 and non-resident a couple dollars extra.
I’ve gone a couple times during the day and it’s never crowded which is nice.
