Really dissatisfied, and disappointed. I initially brought my 3 year old in because his eyes have started to cross. The staff was friendly, but the wait was way too long for my son’s attention span. He was seen by dr. mitchell who was kind and patient with my son, he gave him a script and advised us there crossing should correct itself and come back in a year becasue that’s what our Inc covered. That right away struck me as odd, not knowing if he needed more care and they were just over looking for Inc reasons. I filled his script there and was told they would contact me when his glasses were in. Several weeks past, still no call. Finally I called the rude girl I believe her name was Yvonne told me they weren’t in. Frustrated I went in and sire enough his glasses were there sitting in the back. I wasn’t completely done yet, and we had gone back a few times for free adjustments to the lens, the staff was nice each time no issues. 2 months time had passed and I saw no improvement in my son ls crossed eye. His pediatrician also noticed the crossing getting worse and asked what we have done. I explained what Vista eye care had done, and angry she advised me he needs to see a real specialist! And send us to one in tucson. That’s when my issues started. After seeing a specialist he determined my son was on the wrong script which was worsening his eye and he may possibly now need surgery and was in shock whwn I told them Vista eye care advised us to come back a year later. The specialist said that will cause even more damage. We were given a follow up apt and new script. Which I brought back to Vista eye care asking they correct this, since our inc doesn’t cover a script unless it’s a dr error, they refused to acknowledge they had given him the wrong script, and claimed his eyes must have changed, the specials assumed me they had not changed that bad with in 2 months and the script he was on is 4x stronger. Still Vista refused to correct any damage done and said every thing for new lenses would be out of pocket coming to over 200 $ for a basic lens. They are dishonest and a danger to eye health. I’ve heard other people had similar complaints and wondering how many others are going around with the wrong script.

Buyer Beware if you have eye care insurance. First of all, if you are on a budget Vista Eye Care is very expensive. Do your homework regarding your insurance before your appointment. If you wear contacts they will make you sign a waiver stating you agree to pay an additional fitting fee, but will not tell you how much they will charge until after your appointment. My fee was $ 125 and I have been a patient there for three years. They will try to get you to pay for your office visit out of pocket and save your allowance for your contacts because if you have VSP the cap for the fitting fee is $ 60.00. After checking around I found that $ 60.00 is the standard rate. They will also try to get you to pay an additional $ 35.00 for a scan so your eyes do not have to be dilated. Most eye places in Tucson only charge $ 5.00 for this service. If you live in Green Valley the location is convenient, but you will pay for the convenience. Vista Eye Care is all about how to get more money out of your pocket and your insurance.

Really nice and friendly staff and doctors. I highly recommend them. I visited them in January for a routine eye exam. They were thorough, professional, but most importantly: nice!

Lookout for bate and switch. They I’ll charge you extra if you need a contact prescription. I had A very bad experience. Had to go back three times. They never got a prescription that was workable. Had to go to another Dr.

Making the appointment was easy and they were able to get me in right away which is very nice when your eye is bothering you. Dr Nogales saw me diagnosed my problem, had new ideas on a couple of chronic issues my eyes have. Both eyes felt better within a day! I’m very impressed and probably will be switching to this office from my Anchorage one!
