I had the smoothie. I just had to tell someone, IT WAS GREAT. I was at dinner for Tacos and wanted something to go along, so I ordered a Strawberry Smoothie.. I will order this again, it really hit the spot.

The lasagna was better than what I experienced in both downtown Chicago and Manhattan, the gourmet sriracha bacon burger better than ALL of the great Los Angeles gourmet burger joints, mac n’ cheese to die for, coleslaw with no mayo (it was so good!), fantastic waffle fries, milkshakes, the most insane french toast, and of course, the signature breakfast burrito. I haven’t had a single item here that I didn’t love. You can tell that the chefs and the rest of the staff are like family. Great place in a relaxed, country environment. I will be there as often as I can.

After a long day, with cool weather, we stopped at Heart and Soul Café for something that would give us some TLC. Best lasagna I’ve ever had — seems like they used fresh oregano –and with delicious garlic bread as well. This is a real café! Very relaxed vibe with everything looking fresh. They had a few other specials and they also have a take home menu where you can order a nice dinner and heat it up in the oven at home. We really regretted not bringing more lasagna home.

Worst. Latte. Ever. I wasn’t expecting my mind blown but beans weren’t ground fresh and the milk was over steamed (this isn’t a taste preference it’s a fact so you don’t burn the coffee with scalding milk).
I tried to tell the young man not to over steam however he condescendingly retorted that «you’ve got to steam the milk.“And the proceeded to push the lid on the coffee with his entire hand that just handed me my cash back when I paid. Gross.
I am SO sad. I am a local — and I really wish someone knew how to make coffee in our area. :(
And no, they do not grind the beans fresh — fresh means within minutes of extracting the coffee. Not «fresh» as in two weeks earlier.

WOW! Pro chef at the helm and it shows! Meatloaf! I don’t even eat meatloaf, why would you try someplace new and order the meatloaf, but this dish is incredible! Now I go out of my way for it. The lasagna is top notch, the chicken plate is top notch. The Caesar salad has great flavor, but falls a little flat on the power scale, needs pepper or something to kick it up. The home made croutons /​garlic bread is perfect. The burger is huge, fed me and my wife with fries (homemade) to take home. Daughter loves the mac n cheese. The patio seating is really comfortable and grotto cozy. It’s a small kitchen with a single iron chef hustlin fresh in the back so nothing is going to come out fast, but good food never does. At about 20mins from order to plate and facefirst in a blackberry ice cream milkshake (they have like 30 on the menu and a few more that arn’t), the wait time didn’t even register. Total bill for 4 was a little under $ 40 with leftovers. The hours are off and on, so check their official. Its a ways out there in the woods, but thats a good thing. Almost don’t want to pos review it so it doesn’t get blown out.

We stumbled upon this place by accident and decided to get some coffee. It tasted great and service was exceptional! We are certainly planning on stopping by for supper one of these days. A hidden gem!

First off, the guys is a culinary chef — I don’t know if that’s true or not, but it dang sure tastes like he is (that sounds weird…). I had the burger, and holy hippo Marie, it was delicious! Seasoned waffle fries were amazing and the mac and cheese were on point. My wife had the roasted chicken, and it was perfectly seasoned as the meat fell off the bone. The Clam Chowder was amazing and one of the best I’ve ever had! Friendliest staff ever, my glass was never empty and the people of Green Valley are of something out of a small town Mayberry movie.
The price of the food was very reasonable and I left with a homemade ice cream sandwich that had me feeling like a fat kid on his birthday.

My girlfriend and I stopped in at Heart N Soul for dinner tonight and it has to be one of the greatest food experiences we have ever had.
I ordered a customized burger with waffle fries and she ordered today’s special, the meatloaf.
We were served quickly and my oh my was it good. I was blown away by Chef Mike’s cooking. We sat there marveling at how good it was. My girlfriend said it was the best meatloaf that she has ever had.
The establishment is really out there off the coast of Santa Clarita on the way to the middle of nowhere. It is quaint and inviting and has the feeling of old world charm, heart and soul.
Oh, and when you go make sure to try the home made chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. Just brilliant!

This is a great Coffee House and Catering business. They have wonderful lunches and dinners too. It’s nesteled in the canyon between Lancaster and Santa Clarita. They have very unusual hours so please call ahead 661 270‑1627 They have the best fish tacos and fish n chips I have ever had anywhere. Treat your self to something unusual.
