Great service and fast, good food!
My husband and I have been coming to Green Lake for several years and we’re thrilled to find a yummy place for breakfast! Pumpkin pancakes are the reason we keep coming back!

Little Corporal is such a little gem. I come to Green Lake about 3 – 4 times a year, and every Sunday that my friends and I are in town we get breakfast here before heading back to Chicago. I’d be lying if I didn’t say we were always a bit hungover while coming in to dine, but it’s honestly a great spot for a cheap meal that will stick to your bones.
Their menu is ginormous (literally) and everything is so cheap! One side of the menu is full of all different breakfast options and the other side has anything you can think of for lunch/​dinner. I constantly have the savory or sweet, breakfast or lunch struggle, but typically always end up deciding on lunch.
My favorite thing to get is their jerk chicken quesadilla. It’s huge, delicious, and comes with a side salad. I’m a sucker for cheese curds, but I wouldn’t suggest ordering them here. We got them as an app once and to be honest there were like 7 cheese curds and they cost $ 5.99. Not worth it. Other than that, everything else has been great! My friends often get their omelettes or grilled cheese and everyone leaves satisfied. You should note that they also serve smoothies, ice cream, and most recently… beer and wine!
Service has always been friendly. Definitely slow at times, but then again we’re pretty slow moving on these Green Lake Sunday mornings ourselves. High fives to the waitresses we’ve had that humor us and our 28 drink orders per person… rounds of water, orange juice, coffee, and pop are pretty typical (and needy) for our dehydrated bunch.

What a gem of a place. I will admit, we were a little, um, hungover when we stumbled into this cute little restaurant, beyond-​hungry and desperately needing coffee and water. We didn’t have to wait for a table, and service was extremely prompt and friendly. The menu is literally huge and our breakfast arrived faster than fast food. It wasn’t the best breakfast skillet I’ve ever had and my hard poached eggs were not very pretty, but it was fresh and tasty and a good-​sized portion for the really reasonable price. We would totally go back.

Husband and I came here for the funnel cake fries and a little bit of ice cream. Relaxed environment, sea shell décor’, and just a good corner restaurant to sit and relax at. Only issue I had is seeing cobwebs and dust on some of the decorations (if it’s not busy, I would suggest a quick dusting!). But my Superman ice cream and the funnel fries hit the spot!

Wow!!! Great EVERYTHING!!! Food, service, portion size, atmosphere, location. All that and an inhouse ice cream shop. I would eat there very day if I could.

My mom and I had a great breakfast at this small town café. I had the corporal skillet with hollandaise, and the portion size and flavor did not disappoint. It definitely seemed like a family friendly establishment.

One of our favorite things to do on little getaways is try little diners and find awesome food. I can honestly say I feel like I wasted a meal on our vacation at this place. I would say they nickel and dime you, but that is an understatement. To add lettuce, tomatoes, and onions to a burger you add $ 2.00!!! So for a burger with toppings it was over $ 7… That did NOT include fries. For a small thing of fries, aka 7 fries in a basket, it’s an additional $ 3.00. And the food was boring! The chicken wrap I had was super greasy and had no flavor. The burger my boyfriend had was under seasoned and thin. If you’re gonna up charge for everything, the food should at least be good!

I’ve worked here food is not slowly cooked most if this is done by microwave hence the speed factor…

I agree. Wonderful breakfast. Eggs slowly fried to just the way I like them. Blueberry pancakes had so many blueberries, it was hard to find the pancake. Seriously, can’t go wrong for breakfast. Prices in line with area.

An excellent breakfast with a variety of choices. Lightning fast service, she did served and finished in less than a half an hour. Best breakfast in Green Lake.

Had a breakfast skillet and was impressed with the portion size. Also, it seems to be one of the few places where you can eat outside.
