Absolutely an amazing place to stay! So glad we choose to stay here versus a big chain hotel! Ms Pat is so hospitable, so kind & knowledgeable about the hidden gem that is Green Cove Springs! Breakfast is delicious! Rooms are clean, comfortable & homey. We will be back. This is our first stay @ a B&B & we couldn’t be happier.

The River Park Inn is a delightful spot to stay in this quiet little town. Pat, the owner, provides exceptional, personalized service, and goes out of her way to make your stay pleasant and relaxing. The rooms are clean, comfy, with lots of Victorian-era personality. You are within walking distance of the Spring Park Coffee shop, D’Fontana’s(Italian restaurant — the best calzone on earth), Ronnie’s(wings and beer — favorite hangout of the locals), and Walgreen’s and a dollar store if you need them. The historic Spring Park is just across the street, and beyond that is a beautiful venue of the St. Johns River. Green Cove Springs has an interesting history, and Pat is happy to share her knowledge with visitors.

This is a wonderful B&B right in the heart of Green Cove Springs. It is across the street from Spring Park, where you can check out a large natural spring that feeds into a community swimming pool, which then feeds into the St John River, and about a 2 minute walk from the river itself. The Spring Park is a nice place to spend the afternoon, it’s a peaceful place. The Green Cove Springs Police Department is a block away, which is nice, and the Italian restaurant D’Fontana is on the same block as the Inn, just walk around the corner. I liked their chicken alfredo. Pat runs the River Park Inn. She is very friendly and I immediately liked her. She’s a fountain of knowledge regarding the area, both historical and current. I learned a lot about the history of Green Cove Springs from her, and she has books available to read if you want to know more. She also pointed me in the right direction for where to go and where not to go, which was very helpful. The room itself was nice, far nicer than a regular hotel room. I stayed in the Blue Room and enjoyed the décor as well as the reliable wireless internet access which is included in the price of the room. The shower was a little«misty» but overall I was satisfied with the room. The breakfast was tasty. Pat provided a full breakfast(fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, toast, jam, etc) after asking what I liked to eat the night before, and I enjoyed meeting the other guests while we ate together in the dining room. On my last morning, Pat gave me a little«to go» snack bag to munch on fresh fruit during my ride back to JAX airport. I would definitely stay here again, primarily due to the location and the friendliness of the owner.
