Thin crust pizza variety offered on the lunch buffet. Also offer a salad bar, which had a nice variety to choose from. Pizza was greasy but had a decent flavor. Very busy for the buffet-many people waiting in line for more pizza. Not the cleanest place and a little dated.

We live in Seattle and this is The Place we come to whenever we visit Green Bay! We love the pizza that is top with lots and lots and lots of mushrooms! It is truly unique and we can’t find it anywhere else. Their wine selection although limited, they are pretty decent and go well with their food. The self service ice cream is the perfect finish for the meal.

I have been to this location of Cranky Pat’s before a number of times without issue. What I witnesses this evening has convinced me I will never go back. I ordered two«take and bake» pizzas to go. As I waited at the counter watching the various pizzas being assembled on a busy Saturday night, I witnessed what I can only describe as horrific health code violations and a shocking display of nonchalance toward the same. Now, I must note, I am not terribly squeamish. I’m not OCD. I understand that chefs touch the food. That’s not the issue. Here’s what I witnessed in terms of the preparation of my own pizzas:(1) soiled, filthy, and crowded work surfaces onto which my pizzas were balanced on a pile of food service boxes;(2) chef preparing my pizza had remnants of dough/sauce/debris caked on her hands and did not wash them at any point during over 25 minutes of watching her;(3) she begins ladling sauce on my first pizza. I note that she is going heavy on the sauce when I had requested light sauce. Half way through she realizes this. She takes her dirty hands and drags them across the pizza, cups the sauce in her hands, turns around and whips he sauce carelessly into a trash can in front of me, sauce splattering allowed the floor and work surfaces;(4) she wipes her sauce-laden hands on her decidedly unclean chef’s jacket;(5) she grabs mozzarella from the bin and spreads it on the pizza;(6) at some point, she notices some foreign object on the pizza;(7) she is seen picking said foreign object off the pizza and wipes it on her chef’s jacket;(8) continues topping the pizza;(9) hands pizza off to apparent head chef;(10) head chef notices more foreign objects on pizza, picks a few things off – from the way he pinches his fingers, looks like hair;(11) bags and hands off the pizza. Yuck.

I’m usually a big fan of thin crust pizza but this just didn’t do it for me. We ordered a sausage and mushroom pizza and it just tasted a little funny. Could be the type of sausage used, I’m not sure. Just didn’t impress me much. Salad bar was decent though.

Excellent service despite coming in near closing time on a Sunday night after a Packers night game. Love the cheese pizza!

We ate a few pizzas today at the Cranky Pats. The top row and the special. We as always are impressed with the food quality. Most of the time we carry out pizza this ti, e we dined in. The service is excellent and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our food, it was served hot and the pizza was excellent. I usually order the special well done but my crew didn’t wish to wait even longer than usual. Cranky Pat’s is better than Jakes or Sammy’s and Bilotti’s in Depere. The menu has been like this forever… I would bump this to a five star if… They could expand the menu or do something to spike my interest to eat here more than say once a month.

We eat here often and tonight was NOTGOOD. Pats special was burnt on the edges and had a very wet and soggy crust underneath. No cold Sam Adams beer in the house(???). Was not busy at all so really don’t understand what is up. #UsedToBeGood

I really like Cranky Pat’s pizza for thin crust, but as other reviewers have pointed out the crust is like a burnt saltine cracker. OK, but not great. The toppings are generous and of high quality, but I take issue with the overall size of the pizza. They come in 2 sizes, small and large. The large is only 14″, and pretty much everyone at our company party made a comments about how small the«large» is. For the price, there are better options out there.

I remember Frank and Pat’s as a kid. Now it is known as Cranky Pat’s, the manager informed me that the owners are of the same family. This is evident as their pizza hasn’t changed much in 40 years. A walk down memory lane brings back memories of a super thin crust pizza with a tangy sauce. There are generous amounts of cheese and toppings. I sampled several different kinds at the lunch buffet. Each one had the same quality I remember as a kid. I will be back sometime when I feel nostalgic. If you go the parking lot is small, but there is additional parking across the street.

Excellent Pizza after an Excellent Packer Game! The pizza has a thin crispy crust and they do not skimp on the toppings. We ordered The Top Row Pizza. We are fussy about our pizza. We will return!

Got takeout while vacationing in the area and had to try the Pat’s Special Pizza — double mushrooms, double sausage plus two other toppings(we got green pepper and onion). I’d say it was quadruple regular mushrooms, but they’re fresh, not canned, and completely worth the cost and longer cooking time. Companions also had basic pepperoni and plain cheese — both were good. Crust is thin and oven-fired, and take out pizza are placed into a puffed-up bag that doesn’t sog down the pizza before you get it to your destination.

OK for an after bar chow down. Lunch buffet is cheap and it shows. Crazy greasy and the crust was charred on every pizza. This may be their«style».

I grew up in New York on world class pizzas! Now reside in da UP. Have to travel to GRB occasionally and always beat a path to the best lunch pizza buffet ever! From 11 – 2 weekdays there is an amazing selection of toppings on a thin chewy crust with a tasty sauce and just the right amount of cheese. Yeh, it costs about 12.00 with pop and tip, but I stumble out of there stuffed and with feeling of complete euphoria. Been doing this for 25 years. Hope they never change a thing!

This is by far the rudest, most unfriendly staff I have ever dealt with in any business. Not sure what the day staff’s problem was, but don’t take it out on me! It’s almost like one of those theme places where they are intentionally rude, sadly, I don’t think that’s what it is.

Where’s the Waitress? Walked through the doors, and the smell was intoxicating. We found a seat in the corner(under a tv) and Emily, our waitress, came over and introduced herself. She was upbeat/lively and seemed genuinely happy to be our waitress. She asked if it was our first time(yes, it was) and she said that she would take care of us. Great! We ordered our pizzas. No mention of, «Hey, we have some great breadsticks, etc. for appetizers…» No problem. After a wait(we ordered double toppings, so we knew that we would have a bit of a wait) our pizza arrived. And then our waitress left. Seriously. She left the BUILDING. We spent the next 40 minutes watching other people come and go, and wondered why nobody was even coming over to check on us. We finally grabbed a passing staff member and asked for a box for our un-eaten pizzas and the bill. We had no bill; she had to guess what we ordered from the remnants on our table. What started out as a promising meal/time(We’re definitely coming back here!) turned into, There is NO way that we are coming back here — I don’t care how good the pizza is.

Since moving to Green Bay from Wausau we’ve been looking for a comparable pizza place to our old favorite(Sam’s Pizza) and I think we’ve found it. Loaded with toppings and awesome thin crust. Kind of a drive for us from the south side of DePere but it was worth it.

Rating pizza is tough. What one person likes others may hate. I have to say I had high hopes for this place. Some family members ate at the Crankys in Neenah and told me how great it was. I decided to try the pizza at this Green Bay location and I was let down. As I said earlier pizza is in the eye of the eater so I guess my family is just different than I! I love thin crust, this crust was thin, but dry and kind of burnt. The toppings had decent flavor but I like a greasy, bendy crust and this was more like a saltine cracker. Not the worst, just not what I was hoping for. The salad bar was decent and fresh but the soup was not so great. It was mushroom so maybe it was more the look than the actual taste. Maybe I need to try Neenah?

Oh Cranky Pat’s, why did I not know you existed until now? I’ve visited Green Bay now for years, but never knew you. Thankfully, I do now! Awesome awesome pizza! I don’t know what else needs to be said, but get here and try their delicious offerings! Yum yum yum!
