Ross Dress for Less

I have shopped at Centerra Ross MANY more times than Greeley. However, on a few occasions, I go to Greeley. And, I can now say more than once (in Greeley), there have been nazi-​like, unfriendly cashier and even lower management, which is shocking. These women are scary and sometimes hired for management (how does that happen?) Centerra Ross, Loveland has never treated me with disrepect.
Greeley Ross will not be shopped by me anymore. Done…
And to add to that, I feel some anxiety going into Ross. The security greeter (store protection specialist) with the smiling face confuses and makes me feel uneasy. Ross needs to protect it’s product, but why should I feel like I am doing something wrong when I enter the door. What a sad thing to make a shopper feel this way. The store must not be allowed to actually confront anyone for «safety» so intimidation with a smile is the alternative. Is there not another approach for this problem? Are your cameras not really turned on?
A response to DEL N. I was not there for the soccer ball incident, but I could almost bet there is more to this story. I have repeatedly seen mothers completely tune out their children, leaving them running and wandering around Ross, like Ross is a babysitting service while they shop. I have also seen children tearing apart packaging of toys and throwing them to the ground, yelling/​screaming across store, non-​stop crying, (mom says nothing) and parents yelling across store to find children (too lazy to go look). This has happened so many times I lost count. And thought to myself, where am I when I see this behavior, when mom «tunes out» this insane behavior. I have seen moms like this at Kohls as well. Incredibly annoying, hard to comprehend and unbelievably rude for other shoppers trying to enjoy their time. Where is the respect for others’ property (Ross, etc.) and other people trying to shop? Pretty far GONE…

Of course Ross is known for getting some great deals and low prices, but this Ross is not worth it. Every time I return to this location, it is continuously messy, dirty, unorganized, and employees are not helpful or grumpy. Sizes and selections are hard to find because it seems as though they were just stuck wherever the employee felt like it. Also there are usually long lines with only one checker and no one to help her out.
I suggest you take the 15 min drive and go to the centerra one.

A friend, who is of Mexican-​American heritage was recently shopping in the Greeley Ross. An employee approached her two year old son and took a soccer ball out of his hands without first speaking to either my friend or her husband. My friend confronted the employee and told her if she has a problem with her son holding a soccer ball, she needed to speak to her, not to simply pull the ball from the hands of the 2 year old. The employee responded by saying «Oh, I didn’t think you spoke English.»
I will NEVER again shop at Ross Stores. My business will go to Marshalls and TJ Maxx for similary priced merchandise.
