We reserved a room with this hotel through Expedia, and received a confirmation that the reservation was in place for the upcoming weekend. As a result, we cancelled a different reservation at a sold out property(the town is very busy due to a large volleyball tournament). The same day, I happened to check my spam folder to find out that the general manager from Greeley guest house had emailed me the following: Mr. Richards, To notify you that we just received your reservation request through Expedia, and unfortunately we don’t have a DLX room available for the 13th. However, we have 1 room available for 2 nights. That would be the HDLX room, rate is $ 120.00 per night. It has a king bed as the others. The only difference with this room, is that it does not have a fireplace and the bathroom has a stand up shower. It is located on the first floor. Another option is; a Jacuzzi deluxe available for the 13th only at this moment. If it’s ok, with you, you could take the JDLX for one night at a DLX rate and move to a DLX room for the 14th. Please, let me know if you would like to proceed with any of these options, if it doesn’t work for you, you can cancel your reservation through the booking website. Thank you, and we hope to hear from you soon, Virginia Anconza General Manager The Greeley Guest House I responded that we would take the change in rooms and heard nothing back. I called the next morning and the phone was answered by the assistant manager who was rude and told me they were sold out and she would have Virginia call me back in 1 hour. She didn’t. I called back three hours later and she informed me that they were sold out before I even made my reservation but hadn’t updated their information with because she didn’t have time. I explained that based on her email, this was not true. What happened is that they booked over the top of our reservation without so much as picking up the phone and checking in with us ONTHESAMEDAY! I was told I was out of luck even though I had a confirmed reservation.

Greeley Guest house is simply terrific! The main reason? The general manager, Maria Teresa. She cares about each guest and offers each one the kind of custom service the Ritz only hopes to offer. The accommodations are very nice. The views are terrific and the food is homemade. Highly recommend!

This hotel is a mix between a hotel and a bed & breakfast. There are limited rooms, I think around 20, but each with their own private entrance. The hotel is off a main drag in Greeley on the edge of a suburban neighborhood, so it is nice and quiet. The room I stayed in had a nice built in with 6 drawers, a closet and a kitchenette with a microwave and fridge. Room was also complete with a small dining table, desk, medium sized flat panel TV, fireplace, overstuffed chair, night stand and king bed. The room over looked a grassy area with a gazebo and fields, which was nicer than some other places that have you looking at a brick wall or a dumpster. The bathroom area had high counter tops and drawers for storage as well as a hair dryer. The water pressure was good and so was the temperature. The shower had a standard shower/tub combination but it had an add-on raised seat that made it extra wide which was nice. While the rooms don’t exactly match like a standard hotel such as a Hilton property, everything was very clean, well lit with ample outlets. They offer free wifi which works well over all. I needed them to reset it once, but it was handled immediately. The staff was super accommodating and a delight to deal with. The hot components of the complimentary breakfast were made fresh in the great room.
