I have had nothing but trouble and headaches trying to use Comcast/Xfinity. Customer service is, hands down, the rudest, most uniformed bunch of liars I have ever had the misfortune of working with. I can no longer count the number of times I’ve been hung up on, blind transferred to another department, had my modem stop working, been charged for things I was told would be free, and been blatantly mislead. I started getting reference numbers for everything because I was being told so many different things only to be told next time I referenced a past conversation or payment with the number that the reference numbers were arbitrary and meant nothing and were just handed out to customers to placate them and that they had no way to use it as a reference for anything. After a year of paying my bill on time, I went to pay again today only to see that the price I’d been paying for the last year was apparently a promotional offer(and not my standard price as I had always been told, and had been told again by the agent I had talked to 5 seconds previous to this conversation [she had actually been the one to transfer me to the second person]) and that my bill was now doubled and they were increasing the modem rental price by 30%. If at all possible, take a service with a slower speed from some other company and be happy, because this will never be worth the hassle. I’d take a service that worked slowly but consistently over one that only works quickly but only intermittently. Terrible! Terrible business ethics.
