Hands down the best steak I’ve had in northern Colorado. They hand cut and age the beef in house. And as for the reviews where people say its dirty they are crazy. This is an old school Steakhouse. Probably has the same decorations since they opened. But that isn’t a bad thing. The ambience is exactly what I’d expect of an old school, old west steakhouse. They also have a really good salad bar. Nothing fancy, just good. The stuffed jalapeño peppers were really good and very mild. I would skip on the desert. That’s been the only thing that has not been amazing.

This place was unfriendly and food was average at best. Salad bar was best of the visit.

It it truly awful when a steakhouse has a hard time with temperatures. The service we received was also inexcusable. Our server dropped off our drinks, took our order and then never returned. After 20 minutes we had to locate a manager for service. Our table of five ordered; 3 New Yorks, 1 Cattlemen’s 20oz cut and a children’s steak. 2 were medium rare and 3 were medium. When they were delivered they were all medium well. The two NY’s were sent back first, followed by the 20oz. They were over cooked and dry to the point of almost being inedible. After some more waiting we signaled the manager and told her we were thinking of leaving and going somewhere else.(Keep in mind only one adult and one child are eating). She informed us that we would still have to pay for all of the meals, but she is going to remove 20% from our bill. We decided to stay and allow the kitchen to remake the 3 steaks. When they brought them out they were rare and still cold in the middle. We told the manager we were going to leave and she then offered to change our bill to 3 salads, 1 kids meal and 1NY with a $ 25 gift certificate. Are you kidding me??? After sitting there for 2 hours with poor service and no food, I have to pay for my dinner salad? We asked if we could apply the certificate to tonight’s bill because it is highly unlikely that we would return. She left for another 5 minutes and then returned to tell us we were free to go and the entire bill was taken care of. Other than the pan fried potatoes there is nothing about this restaurant to recommend.

Go for the perfect steaks. Well aged, consistently cooked to perfection. Atmosphere is a bit old-school, not flashy. My wife likes the tenderloins, I’m a big sirloin guy and they use a slightly unusual but perfect cut. If you need a fancy atmosphere, go elsewhere. If you want the best steak in a 30 mile radius, this is your place.

This place is wonderful. The salad bar is the best part! Steaks are cooked to perfection! And the staff are hotter then the steaks!

Tonight we wanted to have a nice dinner in a nice atmosphere. Cattlemans fit that bill. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious. The cod was cooked perfectly and the batter was light enough to not overwhelm the fish and perfectly crisp. The salad bar is a little limited but it is always fresh and the ranch dressing is from scratch –2 big pluses for me. They also serve their signature beef vegetable soup which is always great. Their steaks are also very good. The atmosphere is quiet, the lighting is low and the décor is western/comfy and our waitress was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend Cattlemans for a nice date or a family dinner.

This place was okay. I ordered a steak and potato meal and the salad bar came with it. My wife and I split the meal and she got a salad and soup bar also. The steak was very good. It was cooked well and tasted fabulous. The waitress was also very good. CONS The salad bar sucks. It had no cheese, egg, olives, etc… It had carrots and cucumbers. For $ 12.99 that salad bar was not worth it. They could definitely upgrade that for sure. We will try this place again but will be more selective on what we order.

I dig Cattlemen’s Steak House & Saloon. It’s a bit old-school, but their salad bar is top-notch, the beef is well aged and good, and the Prime Rib on the weekends is par excellence. You will not find better prime rib in Greeley, and you will not find such generous portions of prime rib in Greeley at as good a price. As I said, the décor and some atmosphere is a bit dark/old school, but it’s still a great place, and we enjoy it over any other steak house in Greeley.

Quality of food is hit and miss. Management borders on unfriendly. Bottom line is that there are several better options for steaks in greeley.

I are here for the first time and was pretty impressed. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the salad bar was awesome. Our waitress was very good too. My only complaint about the food was that they want to charge you an extra $ 3 to add cheese and bacon to you baked potato which I thought was a little pricy.

I knew this place was going to be good when my dad said«cattlemen’s has the best steak around«. He is very picky about his steak and will often send back the steak if it isn’t cooked accurately. He has never sent a steak back at this place. Enough said.

With my family… Dad says, «Prime rib best I ever had». Aunt says everything was fresh and warm. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.(again) my aunt says the temp was perfect and the meat(prime rib) perfect. Dad got his end cut and we were all very happy.

I’ve been twice to this restaurant, but I still wouldn’t go here unless I was asked to go by someone else. The steaks have been cooked perfectly each time, but they were extremely bland. If you are the type that like to drench your steak in A-1 sauce, this place is for you. The soup is always the same, which has an interesting taste that everyone seems to like but me. There appears to be a bar area, but I haven’t explored the entire restaurant. It seems like this place was one of the best places to go to in 1978, but not anymore.

This place is hidden on 26th, not a street I would normally go down. I just happen upon it one day and figured I would try it. It is a little pricey, most food entries are in the $ 20 — $ 30 range, but do come with a soup and salad bar. There is only one soup offered at the bar, when I was there it was a basic stew with tomatoes. The salad bar is nothing spectacular, the basics to make a garden salad, and potato salad. The steaks were good, seasoned and cooked perfectly with a nice sear on the outside. I tried their«famous» ribs. The sauce was nothing spectacular, a basic tomato base sauce with vinegar and some good seasoning — good enough. The meat wasn’t falling off the bone, which made it a little tough to eat. The atmosphere is very dark and rugged, good service.
