They draw you in with half price sushi if paid in cash. Honestly for the rolls you get vs price paid, its terrible sushi esp compared to other establishments. But what got me the most was the reciept. Since paying in cash, it says«pay type: NOTPAID» This immediately makes me think that this wstablishment is either a money laundring racket or tax evasion specialists. Further more i am not planning to take my business here again.

Been here about 5 times already. Very nice and quiet atmosphere. Got the rock shrimp as an appetizer. Main course was wasabi roll, Xmas roll, and a Boston roll. Spicy mayo on the side of course. Very thing was delicious. Bring cash to enjoy the discounted items on the menu. I would recommend this place again and again. Hope they stay here for a very long time.

First time customer at Masago and ordered 3 rolls at 7:30 pm to be delivered on a Friday night: the X’mas roll, the Volcano roll and the Out of Control roll. Out of sight! Amazing! Fresh ! Solid! Lady who answered the phone said busy night hence 45 – 50 minutes to deliver. Delivery guy showed up in 48 minutes. Free Delivery by the way; I am 5 miles from this restaurant. She mentioned that if I paid cash it was 50% off. Wow! Absolutely, saved $ 24! The shrimp tempura on the Volcano roll was done just right and delicious. First time trying the X’mas roll(Spicy Lobster, shrimp, crabmeat, avocado, cucumber and a tiny hint of wasabi wrapped in a soy bean nori). This was amazing and the combination works! The rolls were really delicious, filling and not fishy at all. Very impressive first time and definitely be back very soon!

Walking into this place and seeing one other couple sitting down should have been a red flag but as hungry as we were(4 of us) we dove in before we checked if there was water in the pool… spoiler alert: there wasn’t. we sat down and were told there isn’t an «all you can eat» menu anymore. no problem because everything is 50% off(ONLYIFYOUPAYWITHCASH.) After 2 bugs in 2 separate cups, I was fed up. The waiter was new to this establishment so he was very helpful with our minor infestation. We ordered dinner(each time we asked what certain items were, our waiter had to run to the kitchen to ask) 3 special rolls and 3 regular rolls. When the waiter served the food, it came out well displayed and in a timely manor but our waiter dropped part of one piece of our roll and didn’t compensate us. It’s probably for the best. Sushi was eh. Service was eh. My suggestion is to go to my regular sushi restaurant. Sushi Palace in Great Neck. 100 times better than this dump.

This is a cozy sushi bar/restaurant a small ways away from my current place of residence. I particularly enjoyed the Golden Hill Roll(with coconut shrimp, mango, scallops and crabmeat) and the Toro Toro Roll(tuna and avocado). Ordering the Northern Boulevard Roll(with fried bananas and avocado inside + topped with shrimp and a Thai chili sauce) was an adventurous move, and although I liked it when I tried my first roll of it, the taste got boring quickly. Plus, having a banana-filled sushi roll, when you’re so used to one including seafood, was just plain weird. The green tea ice cream dessert is tasty: I got mine topped with sprinkles, chocolate drizzle and whipped cream. Another highlight was that the staff workers allowed me to switch the channels on their TVs to watch the San Antonio Spurs vs. Golden State Warriors basketball game.

This has become my regular sushi spot. Fresh fish, delicious and unique rolls, and you get half off on all the sushi rolls if you pay with cash. I usually order the Six flags roll and sunrise roll. Their sushi rolls have more fish than rice, which is something that I love. Being the fatass that I am, Only downside is that They did some remodeling a few months ago and now they don’t have the all you can eat option :/

I came with 2 friends and we were seated immediately. We got the menu(btw there’s a lot to order from) and ordered the Sushi Pizza($ 14), Salmon Tartare($ 14), Rockie Shrimp($ 9), Six Flags roll($ 15) and Ninja Roll($ 15). The food was okay. It wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t horrible. I think my favorites would be the sushi pizza and six flags roll. It’s definitely worth getting there. Other than those two, I wasn’t really impressed by the other food choices we got. But, it wasn’t too bad. so nothing to complain about. For the food, I give 3 stars. Now the real reason I give 2 stars… their service. I was immediately put off from the beginning. I drove into the parking lot and as I parked I see one of the waiters picking his nose from my parking spot. O M G… we still went in. We were seated and asked for water. Normally, when the waiters come back with waters they just place it on the table in front of each person. Nope not here. The guy holds it expecting us to grab it and put it on the tables ourselves. My friend drinks water out of her cup… and a piece of styrofoam comes out it. The waiter seemed a little too busy on his phone and watching the TV. Our food starts to arrive and we’re eating. Usually at other places they take empty plates so we can create more space. Nope not here. They just don’t care. So we eat the food and as the meal goes on, our cups are starting to become empty. No one came by to refill our cups. We waited for a waiter to show up so we can ask for refill but by the time someone finally showed up, we were done eating. So, I took my friends’ cup to take a sip out of hers(this is the friend with the styrofoam in her cup) and I look inside and there was this little white thing(I don’t even know what to call it) inside stuck to the wall of the cup! It was NASTY. We were so terrified of what it could’ve been. At that point we just wanted to get out of there. We waited again for a waiter to show up AGAIN for the check. According to the time I was counting minutes… we waited 5 – 7 minutes for a waiter(who was talking with another employee by the counter) to show up. We just paid and left. Thank God for that 50% because I don’t want to pay anymore that what I paid today. They really need to work on their customer service.

I’ve never been treated worse by a hostess. Staff is extremely rude. Food is beyond terrible as well. I had it two other people and all three of us had serious stomach issues afterwards. DONOTCOMEHERE!!!

I’ve come here twice and I will definitely be coming back here for more. Both times I’ve come here for the sushi buffet and their specialty rolls are incredible. I recommend their Six flags roll, Rocket roll, Spicy Girl, Hadeed, American Dream, everything~ There are countless other rolls which are both delicious and beautifully decorated. I’ve also tried some of their appetizers like their Summer roll, Negimaki, Kani Salad, and General tso chicken from their hot menu. Both times I’ve had excellent service even when one of the times was much busier afternoon. Their green tea ice cream was a bit bitter for my taste but their thai ice tea and red bean ice cream were so sweet and delicious. This place has a large menu, plenty to choose from and their prices are affordable $ 18.99 for Monday-Thursday and $ 19.99 for Friday-Sunday for their all you can eat sushi buffet. Update: The place no longer has all you can eat sushi but they still have 50% off all sushi including specialty rolls if you pay in cash. This is still a great deal because you could save a lot more money than if each person paid $ 20 each for sushi. Our party of 5 devoured 11 rolls for a grand total of less than $ 20 each. They also still have 30% off all kitchen items again if you pay in case. presentation of the sushi got even more beautiful. Only downside is service is extremely slow waiting about 40 minutes for each round(we had 2 rounds) of sushi to come put of the kitchen. But I guess you gotta sacrifice service for awesome food.

This place have been renovated. Clean Owner and staff is Cantonese Sushi is not so god but for the price is doable. Ordered Spicy tuna roll. Spicy Salmon roll. yellowtail Roll — all this have been mixed withbminced tempura. Sauce and looks mushy so you cannot see the Fish cubes. Salmon sashimi is better since is by the slice And can see completely the fish. Kitchen menu we just ordered shrimp tempura unfon soup. It was ok. Service was slow on a Monday jight around 8pm. We had to ask for silverware(was kissing 2 out of 4). Asked for tea and the check. There is a big discount if you pay by CASH. Not authentic Japanese. But for the price is somewhate descent. There is parking available by the restaurant.

Trust me. Really sad example of a sushi place but before going to the negatives, let me say the positives. Service has always been good. I’ve come here twice and never a problem. Very polite, orders are always right. Also the presentation is great. They brought out some beautiful special rolls that really knocked your socks off. Unfortunately quality is very low. The place smells like fish :/and some of the sushi has that really fishy taste. After eating here the first time i felt horrible. After the second time coming here, my boyfriend didnt feel good. For cash you can get all rolls half off but truthfully i dont see it as worth it after eating it. I feel bad for anyone who thinks this is good sushi, because you’re really missing out. I wouldnt consider the all-you-can-eat. Quality is everything with sushi. This is simply bad quality. We tried this place a second time and it was confirmed. This place is way off our list for decent sushi places in the area. You can get the same sushi half price someplace else. Sorry masago, we tried twice

Place was ok but not great. Compared to all the other AYCE sushi places. This would end up somewhere at the bottom of the list. They wanted to charge me an additional $ 5 per kid to order kani. I think that’s ridiculous. the price may seem cheaper than the other spots but if you really want to enjoy some sashimi, you would end up paying a little bit more here. On a good note though, the lettuce wrap was awesome…

They don’t clean their shrimp, and it’s not the 1st time I’ve noticed. Sucks because most of the rolls I enjoy have shrimp in them. Service is still terrible from the front to the back. Get it together.

Not sure why all these negative reviews. I found this place is pretty decent. Ordered their lunch special, the food was very good. With cash, you get the best deals. The restaurant might need a bit of renovation. But over all this place is pretty good.

They honestly pushed the last straw this weekend. I’ve been to this place a few times. Cheap sushi of you pay cash but my parents once said«you get what you pay for». Not only does their Luke warm water smell and taste like swamp water, their sub-par service doesn’t help the cause. Anyway, I went their this weekend with my friend to get their all you can eat. After waiting for food for 15 minutes, we saw a mouse on the counter and quietly pointed it out to the manager. He then came with his phone flashlight and looked for it for maybe a maximum of 40 seconds. After seeing more customers come in, he leaves to go greet the customers and seat them. «Ok» I thought, the mouse left, and their are probably mouses everywhere we just don’t see them. 5 minutes later the mouse is sitting right next to my foot. I go to the manager and show him the mouse in the middle of the restaurant and he suggests we move tables. Seriously? You think at this point I want to eat here anymore? We barely touched our food in disgust and he offered to cut the bill in half. I wish I paid 0 for the food and I will not return.

I always knew this place was not the cleanest restaurant around, but now I have no doubts. Mid-meal, I looked to my right and not even 5 feet away from me, there was a mouse sitting right by my foot. Other customers realized, and while absolutely disgusted I walked up to the manager and told him what happened. He pretended to be shocked and his solution was to scare it away with his iPhone flashlight. This is no joke. I had zero appetite left but he demanded that we pay at least half the bill before leaving. He was completely ok with the fact that there is probably a nest of rats under his restaurant. Absolutely disgusted and I will make sure none of my friends or family ever return here. They do not hire an exterminator to keep the place pest-free, meanwhile the owners son drives a Maserati. Ridiculous.

Just to be fair, this review is only based on the Sushi! I have not tried anything other than that here. One of the main attractions here is the 50% cash price for any item on their Sushi menu, including Sushi Dinners! Yes — if you pay cash you pay half price. The quality of the sushi is very good and I have always found it very fresh! The assortment of sushi is also exceptional and they typically have a special Roll of the day, on the chalk board on your way in. If you’re a Saki fan they have a nice sampler tray of various flavor infused saki, that is worth at least one round! Overall worth a trip and the Price is Right!

Lunch specials are quite a deal. for $ 6.99 you can get order anything from their lunch menu ranging from their bento boxes to their sushi combos. Another incentive is to pay with cash to get 50% sushi and 30% regular priced items. However, despite their deals… the food is sub-par and service is lacking in every way possible. When we pulled into the parking lot, most of the spots were taken. I was thinking this place must be pretty popular. As we walked in, we were seated and given some hot tea. The waiters came by to take our order but didn’t seem too thrilled. It didn’t take too long for the food to come out. We all ordered from the lunch menu. I had the two roll lunch special which came with soup and salad. The salad was nothing special, made with the ginger dressing. The soup was okay too but the waiters didn’t seem to care much about pouring it into the bowl. I found some tofu pieces hanging from the outside of the bowl. The sushi was not fresh and tasted too fishy. The eel avocado roll was meh and I couldn’t finish the alaskan roll. The waiter didn’t come by once to check up on our meal nor did they refill our teas. We had to flag one down twice to have them come by. Yes, the prices are cheap. It’s hard to find a place that serves miso soup, salad, and and entrée for $ 6.99. But the quality of food is not the best. I would just stay local and go to my usual sushi joint than venturing out here.
