This place is great! I like coming here when I visit home from college – it’s the only place I can get away and focus on my work. Good coffee, good sweets, good atmosphere. It’s a bit expensive, but so is everything else in Great Neck. I would much rather support them than Starbucks.

I don’t know why people are so displeased with this place. It is a very cute café! There was young staff, but no «eye-rolling teenagers.» The interior had a nice brown theme, reminding me of the coffee I smelt there. I don’t drink coffee, so I was there for the sweets. The first thing I ordered was taro bubble tea. It was the usual Korean bakery bubble tea and that was just fine for me. I made sure to have them not add any ice, as I am aware that sometimes drinks can be more ice than drink. There were lots of tapiocas at the bottom, so that was fun. I also ordered two nutella macharons. They were quite tasty – then again, being a nutella fan makes this cheating, no? And last, I ordered their banana waffle with whipped cream. The amount of banana was generous, the whipped cream wasn’t too buttery, the little chocolate syrup was nice, and the waffle itself was very thick. It was a nice bite to eat. My only problem with the place is the seating design. I suppose it is a small place, but it looks like the Starbucks crew moved in and there is simply no space for the customers who actually want to sit and eat, and since their menu advertises small meals, it simply isn’t appropriate. Overall, 4 out of 5 due to cute food and poor atmosphere.

The staff was slow and the muffin left something to be desired. Better to just cross the street and go to Village Market.

This place is ridiculously lackluster. The coffee is bland. The food is overpriced. The staff seem barely trained. It should close so a real coffee shop can open in this space.

I love the atmosphere and their bubble tea is really good. I also tried the winter menu and it was delicious!

I am amazed by the negative reviews post here. I guess that Starbucks got too deep into people crave, that they forget that Starbucks is not the only coffee place in New York. I am not a big sweets eater, so my review will be about their coffee, and as a coffee drinker(a lot/too much) I can say that this is a great spot for coffee and to relax. The staff: Nice, young and helpful. No complains here. The place: Nice decoration, clean, and for my opinion a good location to come if you want to work and have good coffee.

The staff was really nice and helpful but there are never any bubble tea balls at this location!!! I would recommend calling before you come in to ask if they have the balls. What is a bubble tea if it doesn’t have the balls?

A diverse selection of food and beverage, especially in comparison to many other Caffebenes I’ve been to. It is overpriced, in my opinion. But the café is cute, and service is okay. I had an Americano which was not bad. I also had a strawberry waffle but it wasn’t necessarily aesthetically pleasing. It did look like the waffle, cream and strawberries were just thrown onto the plate. It tasted good, however, so I guess that’s what counts?

I live in Great Neck and take the train in to go to work each day. This is my favorite spot to grab coffee before boarding or waiting out the train. They have a very nice selection of the drinks at a much better price than Starbucks. More expensive than Dunkin but much better tasting. They also have some baked goods and waffles. I’m not a huge fan of those, not to my taste. But appreciate they are there for when I get desperate. What I really like about the place though is it’s very convenient location(across the street from train station), it’s never crowded(e.g. Dunkin) and the décor is wonderful. You can get a table and do work on laptop or do people watching.

Very nicely decorated café, good ambiance, music was not intrusive, and they have free wifi. It was perfect for a midday biz meeting. I only had an iced macchiato, which was ok. My colleagues had cappucinos, which were fine also. Noticed the menu is on the larger side, so the minimal staff that day was rushing to fill orders for both beverages and the various food items. Maybe they were short staffed. A decent alternative to Starbucks and way better than any Dunkin.

Horrible coffee Excessive expensive price Expensive breakfast More expensive than Starbucks I won’t buy there again For the price they charge they should give better quality coffee and drinks.

I came here on a NY visit to meet with a couple of old friends, and we settled on this place because I had my luggage with me and needed to be somewhat close to the station. This is literally on the corner between the station and the supermarket plaza. It is a very cute, very faux-rustic décor kind of place, clean and not crowded around 5PM on a weekday, and it was quiet enough for a low-volume conversation yet loud enough to allow us to talk without getting in trouble. A lot of seating in here. Bathroom is spacious and clean. As for drinks, I only can speak for the iced mocha and it was decent, and unlike some other reviews state, the service wasn’t slow at all. I also bought a box of macarons as a gift and while the price was not expensive, they were out of some flavors(so buyer beware — make sure that the macaron you selected is actually the flavor of the tag at the front because they put spare ones in rows that were empty for that flavor). Overall, adorable café super close to the station, and if I regularly took the LIRR I’d probably stop in.

Café benee is supbar to their other chains. Ice coffee had wayyy to much ice. I tried the bubble tea and the boba does not taste good at all. Has a very rubbery taste to it.

Sadly, I only bought a bottled water from here, certainly not representative of anything, but I noticed they sell these very fancy and yummy looking waffles… comes in all kinds of sweet flavors with added toffee, sprinkles, chocolate chips, pistachio or pumpkin coconut, to name a few. They looked really good, but again, I only came in for a water. I have since learned this is a South Korean(!) based coffee franchise, and they are hitting the east coast, most notably in NYC and on Long Island, with a gusto. They have coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, frozen yogurt, the waffle things I mentioned above, and even some Korean sweet delicacies. One could even get savory(sandwich) items. I really liked the airy feel to this place, and it was very nicely decorated. I’m sorry to say I can’t comment on the quality of their food or drink. My daughter lives near one, so maybe next visit. A seemingly welcome change of pace from the Starbucks chain. Perhaps, then, I can up the star power… just can’t muster that for a water.

Staff is nice and everything looks delicious! Tried the three bean chili in the bread bowl and it was very good. I just think the soup to bread proportion isnt enough, although the bread is great to munch on after youre done with the soup.

This review is strictly limited to their taro bubble milk tea latte. I was craving for boba so I spent the most that I’ve ever had to spend on boba tea, or latte, or milk tea latte, and it wasn’t worth it. The drink itself tasted like sugar with diluted taro powder. The boba… Had an interestingly inconsistent texture that as much as I craved for it, had to just let go. Not sure if it’s just Caffe Bene style boba, but not my thing. While waiting for the drink, I came across the nutrition board for their food and drinks. A medium taro milk tea latte has 53g of sugar. I wouldn’t have gotten the tea had I seen it before the purchase. Tl;dr: steer clear from taro milk tea latte, 53g of sugar for medium, and save yourself $ 5+

This is a Korean French café that has circulated all over the place. They haven’t been open very long, but they are working very hard to get out all of the kinks that they still have — they need time for this, as change does not happen over night. Not only are they not familiar with the demographics of Great Neck, but they hired all new staff at this new location. So I urge all the people of Great Neck to get off your high horse and let them do what they have to do to adjust. With that being said, let’s talk about the service. Fast, friendly, and quite awesome. Their drinks are good and if you aren’t satisfied, they will gladly exchange it for you and custom it to your liking. The drinks are very tasty; not too sweet and perfectly brewed. They do use a lot of powders in their drinks, but they do blend them rather nicely. The Misaguru latte is their speciality and it’s not for everyone; it’s a whole grain latte and it’s a bit like drinking hot grainy cereal, but I love it. Their white mocha and caramel macciato are both one of the best I’ve had and it’s better than Starbucks. They have amazing holiday drink specials that I urge everyone to try. The food is good too. They have food and pastries and gelato… yumm. Their macaroons are amazing, especially the MatchA(green tea) one. The place itself is beautiful. New and decorated nicely and I love their little library they have on the other side. This seems like a good place to study, which is good because as a doctoral student, I’m always looking for a quiet place to get work done.

I came here Monday afternoon for coffee to catch up with a friend. The interior décor is very nice. The staff was friendly. We sat there for about 2 plus hours and no one kicked us out. I ordered the white mocha with soy(no extra fee for soy) was very good. I got a small and felt that was a decent size My friend ordered a green tea frappé and she really liked it. They sell Belgium waffles and a take on French toast(thickened bread with different toppings) which looked good but I didn’t order any food. I wish they had sugar free syrup for the drinks.

Okay café in Great Neck. Location is prime for them. They’ve only been open for 2 weeks, so they’re working out the kinks(and there are a lot of kinks). But you can tell they’re trying. I got the misugaru latte and thought it was horrendous. It tasted like baby formula to me. They gladly exchanged it for me, so I got a café latte instead. For some reason, however, the man at the cashier wouldn’t tell me the price difference(in case there was a price difference and I was owed money back. Because I’m sure a plain latte is cheaper than a specialty one). Latte was so bitter that I had to put 4 sugar packets in. I also got the caramel waffle with sliced almonds. It was a good snack, but WAYTOOSWEET. And if someone with a sweet tooth like me is saying something is too sweet, then it’s unbearably sweet. I went to do some work/hang with a friend. There were lots of old Persian people, along with a few students on their laptops. Main dude is friendly. I enjoyed chitchatting with him. I like that they’re open late til 11p.

This coffee joint needs to increase the average employee age, there is too much teenage«eye rolling» I dont give a f*** attitude and arrogant youth going on. They screw up orders left and right, dont admit to faults and reply with«um like… can you just drink it?» Crap. Also SO much ice in a large drink, pretty much 80% is ice. Is this even considered a large?
