I have eaten at BB several times and the food was quite good. But today the food was not up to par as they have a new chef. The Dal was half cooked, lamb shank was dry and hardly any meat, even the bread basket was not good. The waitstaff were gracious, patient and truthful… Suggest the owner have a word with his new chef!!!

London authentic. Maybe the best Indian food in the entire metro area. Would be perfect if they added a couple of big screen TVs playing Bollywood music videos at a low volume and higher intensity interior lighting. :) Apple Pay would be great, too. Not a fan of buffets, but their items were exceptionally fresh and good. As soon as you walk in, you immediately smell real Indian spices unlike most local Indian places that are taking shortcuts in the kitchen.

We have eaten at this restaurant as often as we can. We love the ambiance, the impeccable service, and the exceptional quality of the food. We always order the bread basket to have plenty to take home! I have tried a different dish each visit and loved each one! The buffet is a little more bland with more dishes that Americans are used to but it is a bargain and a nice option for lunch.

I made a NYE reservation for my husband, Jeff & I to have supper after hearing how great this was from 2 ladies who live nearby on Utterback store rd. We have eaten at many Indian/Asian restaurants from Edison, NJ, NY to Israel to England & in between this is among the top 5 of all we have eaten in. We shared a mixed pakora & also potato & cauliflower appetizers. I ordered lamb, hubby goat & we had dessert. Everything was tasty, hubbys was a bit underspiced, mine a bit over but it was so good we ended up ordering more bread, pakoras & getting some leftovers to go. YUM I returned about 2 weeks later, wsnting to share this goodness with my niece & sister who like everything from boring american style tandoori to «real» good indian food, they loved it having had the delicious & ample lunch buffet… I ordered the sev with potato, tamarind sauce & yogurt & pakoras & rosemary bread & I stole some of my sisters poori… everything was great! We will be back in February for our wedding anniv or for Valentines day or both. I only have 1small negative, theyre co2 wasnt carbonating the beverages properly but they offered new drinks. If you are new to indian food ask for extra mild unless you dont mind then its all great. if you like spicy, like hubby, id ask for EXTRA spicy. Get there, its delicious, YUMMY

I lived in India as a child and I am quite familiar with Indian cuisine. I am always on the hunt for a decent Indian restaurant in the DC area… most of them OK. After reading reviews of Bollywood Bistro… I had to go try it out for myself. Bollywood Bistro is located in a grocery shopping area with multiple stores and restaurants in Great Falls, VA. Upon arrival, the friendly service promptly seated me at a nearby table and I was set to try the lunch buffet. The lunch buffet is set up with some standard items including rice, sauces, some vegetable dishes, curries, and a variation of lamb or chicken dishes. All dishes are served up in heated service pans with rotating lids. All the items were available fresh and hot with a side order of bread(naan style). I tend to like a little heat and spice when it comes to Indian cuisine but I can understand the lunch buffet set up for most guests. I believe one may order off the menu and then request additional spice to one’s preference. I am giving my review a 4 star rating on my first visit and I will make it a point to try some of the other items on future visits.

We had a great experience visiting Bollywood Bistro in Great Falls, VA. After trying tens of Indian restaurants with no positive feedback, we had kind of given up. Bollywood Bistro was suggested by one of our friends. We waited no more. The ambience was good, the food was yum and of course the service was excellent. We ordered Aloo tikki, Makhan Palak and Malai Kofta with Naans. The best thing was our 6 year old daughter actually enjoyed the Aloo Tikki which she never even cares to look at when we go other places to eat. So A Big Thanks to Bollywood Bistro. Thanks!!!

great food, good atmosphere. A little pricey and I feel like the dishes are mostly sauce and not enough meat or fish in them.

Excellent food, without the heaviness that usually accompanies Indian food in America. They have introduced a new lunch buffet deal for $ 10, which is an incredible deal.

Delicious food. My wife and I are not the most«international» of diners, however, we love the food at Bollywood. Rony took great care of us and we have had nothing but positive experiences with all of their other staff.

Had it not been for Groupon we may not have tried Bollywood Bistro in Great Falls, and we are glad we did! Pleasing modern décor, great service and delicious food. We will definitely be coming back here, even though it’s a little bit far out of the way. The nice thing about venturing out into Great Falls, is on the way to Bollywood Bistro, you can look around at all the amazingly huge homes along the winding roads. For a more detailed description of our dining experience here, including photos, please visit our website.

The restaurant has a nice ambiance, the prices are fair, service is good and the food is delicious. Quite possibly the best Indian food I have ever had. We ordered the spinach chicken, curry chicken and naan. The chicken pieces in the entrees were tender and broke apart with a fork and the ingredients and flavors were great. This restaurant is in the middle of a shopping center so it is not super fancy but feels like modern Indian with exposed brick walls and interesting artwork. Will definitely return.

Seriously, this is the best Indian food that I’ve ever had! We used a groupon but even without it the prices were very reasonable, especially when you add in the quality of the food, the amazing service and the romantic ambiance. Definitely a great date night place!

I was very impressed with the service here. Customer service was very outstanding. If you don’t like your drink/alcohol, just tell your server and they will work with you. The food is really yummy. Highly recommended this place!

Trendy restaurant with good food. Yay! Good ethnic food in great falls! I’ve been once for sit down and twice for take out. Prices are a bit high for traditional Indian food, but everything was delicious and service was prompt and thoughtful.

Food was great the few times I have been there, no issues there. But I felt I was a little unwelcome in the Great Falls location, the hostess never smiled, infact was making faces on looking at a big group of people, not just us, people at other tables felt the same. And it was not just once, I feel like going back for the food, maybe will take the trip to Fairfax when I crave it

Wonderful ambience, excellent food and great service by Jude. Thanks for making my husband’s birthday so memorable. We had the seafood sampler with Salmon, tiger shrimps and scallops and loved it. We also ordered the Dal Tadka and Methi Malai Chicken Kabab, tomato cheese naan and tandoori roti — everything was really well made. When they learnt it was my husband’s birthday they gave him a complimentary crème brûlée — Delish! Thanks for the wonderful experience and we definitely hope to repeat it

First time coming to Bollywood. Best service ever, they made me sweet Indian tea upon request made sure everything was good the whole time. Me and my girlfriend got the garlic shrimp that were huge sweet perfectly cooked. Then the goat was awesome I don’t even know how to describe it and it has bones perfect texture wonderful. And the cinnamon curry chicken, I’m very picky on cinnamon dishes but this was great, not overwhelming at all. The the yogurt dip was wonderful. Garlic nan best ever. Rice was cooked perfectly and I don’t like rice often. great experience.

This is my second time to Bollywood Bistro and it was just as good as the first time. We had the same waiter who remembered us, and he gave us excellent service both times. We had the mango salad with spinach and samosas for appetizers. Our entrees were Chicken Korma and Phool Gobi(the cauliflower dish if I didn’t get that right) with garlic naan. Everything was delicious and we always go home with leftovers. The mango salad with spinach is our favorite and we decided the next time we dine we will order two so we don’t have to share! Yes, it is that good! Great place and awesome décor. Tip: ask to sit near the window in the early evenings for more natural light. It is a bit dark back towards the bar. Tip: Come here and eat!

Bad seating experience! Had bought groupon. We never got seated. We were there in the waiting line with our 2 year old son. They had a table for two but did not have a third chair. Then I found out they do not even keep high chairs. There were other waiting with their small kid too who found that there is no changing table in the restroom. It clearly looked like they do not want to entertain people with kids. We kept waiting for good half an hour and my son was irritated. They did not consider once before seating other people who came after we entered. If they do not want people with kids to come then they should have somewhere on their website or Unilocal that they only entertain adults. At last we had to go somewhere else. My son was too hungry by then. Very bad experience. It almost felt like discrimination against parents with small kids.

Cool Indian restaurant. Definitely a different vibe than most others. More professional staff, a smaller menu, and a nicer feel. Food was good. One appetizer(bhel) came out with yogurt and the staff was more than happy to change it. Presentation was good and food was good too. Prices were decent too. I got samosas, bhel, paneer khadai, and garlic naan. Service was solid.

Thanks Unilocalers! A friend and I read raves about this new place and I couldn’t wait to sample a delicious lunch firsthand. Had the lobster tomato bisque as an appetizer.(Although it tasted just perfect on that cold day, I wondered why the chef didn’t include even one succulent lump of lobster). Then we got our fresh rosemary naan(a light, freshly made bread) and I tried the Rogan Josh(lamb chunks in a delicious sauce) served with steaming rice on the side. Each item arrived in its own sparkling white serving bowl delivered by the respectful wait staff. After we tasted the food the staff checked to be sure we were pleased. Especially liked the nice brick-look interior and the soft music. Indian cuisine in Great Falls! What a welcome addition to the Great Falls-Vienna-Reston community. Find it just off Walker Road in the same shopping center as Safeway with plenty of parking right in front. Having only visited once so far, it’s getting 4 stars from me, but I was impressed. TIP: There is a lunch menu with several reasonably priced choices.

Great service and the décor is very tastefully done. We needed something like this in great falls. The food is also very good.
