Had the captains platter, shrimp scallops and fish and clams. All fish was cooked properly and not over cooked. Homemade seafood cocktail sauce was excellent. This small restaurant was very clean and updated. Our waitress, Becky, was very friendly and upbeat. I love these quaint out-of-the-way places. The chef even came out to see how we liked the meal. We will return next trip

My family and I went here this weekend, such a good place to eat, friendly and attentive waitress and amazing hashbrowns! And the picky kids are up all their biscuits and head and omelettes too. I’d recommend the place to anyone!

16 people in here filled the place about half way, but the service by Becky is fast. The food is good and really well done a lot of breakfast places are the same food. This place serves it all hot and with a smile try the chicken fried steak or Breakfast burrito

Great service! Really nice establishment. Quality homemade food, with a relaxing dining area. Every Friday night they serve a prime rib dinner to die for.

Biscuits and gravy were delicious. Corn beef hash was pretty ok, the potatoes are a little too potato-y for me, could just be my taste. Service great but we were only table in restaurant. The family running the place was super cute. I did take a bit of offense to them having a family coversation about cats with parasites while we were eating our food. I wasn’t eaves dropping, it was a broadcasted conversation and took me by surprise.

I’ve eaten here multiple times. The last few times I ate there the corned beef was so dry that I couldn’t eat it. The potatoes that were served with it were hard as a rock. The service wasn’t the greatest either. The waitresses were complaining about each other and their job to customers. The last time I went there I also brought my children with me. The waitress that was serving us had a horrible attitude about serving us, and what she did when we were leaving stunned me. Another waitress clocked in just before we left and the waitress that served us, dumped a glass of juice all over the table and said to me, don’t worry I’m off the clock and she deserves it. I wouldn’t take my dog to this restaurant.

Ordered mutineer burger, chicken strips and both sweet potato and traditional fries. All of it was tasty and mostly made on site. Fresh. Best burger I’ve had anywhere in awhile.

Our meal was perfect! One of my favorite lunches is a prime rib dip, I am very picky about them. Well this dip was tender and delicious. And their fries are hand cut and not at all greasy, they were really tasty. My husband had their chowder and it too was really good. The two gals that waited on us were as nice as can be, my only regret was that I didn’t get one of their milkshakes, which I hear are the best. Way to go Mutineer!

I’m updating to give a 3-star rating, as originally intended, which I wrote in my review. I accidentally gave only gave 2 stars — now fixed.

Stopped here on the way home from a camping trip. Very hungry. The food smelled amazing, but was only OK. One star because the service was awful. According to our receipt our server was Autumn. The first part went OK, but after we got our food she only checked on us once, and when I say checked on us, I mean she stopped at our table, made an awkward grunting noise, then walked away. We were never once offered a refill on our water. When we decided it was time to leave, Autumn was no where to be seen. It was only her and a bus girl working the dining room. 15 minuets went by before our server showed her face again. She went to one table, and then left again(i guess to get them ice cream?) After that the bus girl was helping another table that was having an issue with their drink. I got her attention and asked for our checks. We explained to her how we would be splitting the check(my husband and I together, everyone else separate) She said she would get our server. Our server came out and was very annoyed that we wanted to split it. She did nothing to hide her annoyance. She rudely made everyone remind her what we ordered. Also split my husband and I into two checks. It took us over 40 minuets from when we decided we were done, to finally having our bills paid.

Fresh food! Great service! The dining area is bright and modern as opposed to the old Mutineer. They have homemade sausage patties that are quite good as well as great home-frys. Waitress was friendly and attentive, a commonly missed quality in this area. We will definitely be coming back for other meals, I look forward to dinner, with that note, the lunch menu is the dinner menu right now as they are still working on a dinner menu but they do have a dinner special in addition to the lunch menu. Thy have real ice cream shakes and great pie!!!

Stopped here with grandma on the way to the ocean for a quick bite. Had the Chief breakfast sandwich and it was quite tasty and reasonably priced. Nothing seemed boxed or frozen. For a small roadside café it was a hit.

Would love to give a review about the food, however we were told to have a seat, the only table available was not cleared from previous customer. We sat, and waited… and waited. No server came, she just helped other people. We got up and left after 10 minutes.

Nicely renovated from the last time we were there. Friendly staff, and interesting customers. Good people watching for sure! The fries weren’t soggy, but they were both crunchy and stale at the same time. They also tasted sweet! So sweet that I couldn’t believe I hadn’t accidentally been given sweet potato fries. My taste buds were quite confused, but maybe it’s due to sharing the same oil? Unsure. The fish and chips were tasty, and the milkshakes looked lovely. These gals are doing a good job, and I’m sure it will only improve with more time. Definitely wasn’t disappointed with my choice of dining this evening.

We had the Ruben and it was home made as was the pie, potato salad and slaw. Food was awesome. Quick friendly service also.

The Mutineer used to be our favorite place when we came to the beach. My favorite was the fish and chips. A couple years ago when we came down, it had new owners and was closed for remodeling. This year it was open for business so we went for lunch. The fish and chips were just OK, except the fries were soft and soggy. The apple pie filling was out of a can. It was a huge disappointment.

Service was fine. Chowder and chicken salad were awful. Chowder was thick and pasty; didn’t taste like clams at all. Chicken salad was iceberg lettuce with little chunks of cheese, strawberries, olives, 4 mushrooms, and chewy overcooked flavorless chicken. Chef was nice tho. He brought out extra ranch dressing on his own without us asking for it. Fish and chips were good not great. Fries were soggy.

Hart’s mutineer has been redone and has new ownership. Good food, nice presentation and warm friendly environment.
