Our small school received the honor of becoming a «California Distinguished School.» Our principal received a catalog from Promote Marketing Concepts with CA Distinguished School recognition items and shirts. We assumed that this was an authorized dealer of these items and merchandise.(We eventually found out that ANY local neighborhood shirt screening business can make the embroidered shirts.) Unfortunately, we found that out after purchasing over $ 1500 of merchandise from«Promote Marketing…» First, the shirts are overpriced, each polo was $ 32. Our local t– shirt print shop charged us $ 15 for the SAME shirts! When we received the shirts and jackets, some were different shades of blue, and several were not sized properly. We had 3 shirts labeled«large» that were 3 different sizes. The«white» fleece jacket was beige. A ladies x-small was the same size as the men’s small. Our office manager called and spoke with the owner, Kay Stanford, about our concerns and was surprised how short and rude she was. Kay replied, «You should have read in the fine print and measured each person… there are variations in color and sizes.» She was completely unwilling to discuss a simple exchange for better fitting shirts, we weren’t even asking for a refund. This business does NOT deserve to be affiliated with CALIFORNIADISTINGUISHEDSCHOOLS.
