When A&A replaced my old Pak system with a modern HVAC system they did a fine job.
When my compressor wouldn’t start last spring, I had them out that evening, knowing that I’d pay extra for an after-​hours service call. The problem was diagnosed as a capacitor, the service guy replaced it and the unit ran fine. I paid the bill which, in addition to the service call fee of $ 175, included $ 225 for a capacitor.
Months later I noticed that I was supposed to have a 10 year parts warranty on my equipment. The shop’s initial response was a) the service man didn’t know about the warranty because it was an evening call (though he could obviously tell that the unit was less than 10 years old) and b) they don’t stock Lennox parts so they’d have to send the bad part to Lennox and wait for a replacement, then make another service call to replace it.
After several discussions with the shop, they’ve refunded me $ 125. With these facts, you can decide if it’s the shop for you.

See Deby W post I had the same experience except I was charged $ 361.00 for a part that the exact part is available from Home Depot for $ 70.00 and that was the day after they charged me $ 199.00 for the service call and diagnosis the previous day. Nothing but Pirates! Call anyone but them

Last weekend it was 100 degrees and my air conditioner went out. I had company and did not want to wait for a repair. On a Sunday, I did not expect to have anyone return a call. To my surprise, when I called A&A, they told me they could send someone over.
The repairman showed up promptly, but unfortunately the problem could not be fixed. I I was informed I would need a new system. Paul, the engineer called me first thing Monday morning and came out to give me an estimate on the replacement. He was very professional and knowlegable. I actually got two other estimates before making my decision. A&A didnt only replace my system but created a great home environment for me. I cant say enough about the staff at A&A

The service man was very nice and my complaint is not against him — it’s the serious over charge for the part I take issue with. I was charged $ 196. for a new ignitor and $ 79. for the service call. $ 275. total. It took a half hour max for the repair.
After the service man left, I googled the part number and was appalled to discover I could have purchased the exact same part I paid $ 196. for anywhere for $ 29.50. No. It wasn’t a generic part for $ 29.50, it was the part made by the company that made my heater (Bryant). Do I feel ripped off? Yep.
