The beer was great and the house salad was even better. Staff could use some«smile» training

I tried this place, while staying at the embassy suites next door, fancy entrance makes you feel like its a better choice than the Sportsmans Bar and Grill in the Hotel. After climbing the stairs to the restaurant I found a worse situation, but the menu that I had vetted had me convinced it would be good. Liked the idea that it was a microbrewery, but the beer is far from superior, tried two different beers, the Octoberfest and the Sportsman Ale, which had no real flavor to speak of. I ordered the sampler platter, which also lacked flavor and the chicken wings were definitely not fresh, reminded me of episodes of Ramsay’s Kitchen Knightmares. The restaurant is open until 10pm but at 9pm the bar staff want to close down, the hostess did not show me to the table either. I ordered the Buffalo Burger as well, which also lacked flavor and reeked of being frozen. The service was slow and sketchy, while the barmaid was chatted up by a local. Not a good display, would not recommend for future visit. Sorry Uncle Buck but you will need to try harder to fill this place. Good luck, you could always make a good episode on Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares.

Uncle Buck’s is a little food stand inside Bass Pro shop North of DFW airport. Everyone needs a little snack now and then. Fun facts: You can watch the trout swim around while you have your snack.(Yes I’m a kid at heart!) The food is average but having a snack when you are out shopping can be a blessing.
