Sonic Drive-In

I am gluten free and Sonic has very limited choices for me. For the past few years, one of the only gluten free options for me has been a frito chili pie. It seems that this item has been removed from the menu. I learned this last week at my neighborhood Sonic but they informed me that they could still make a Frito chili pie anyways, regardless if it was on the menu. I went to this Grapevine location today and was told the item was off the menu and they are not making them. I was very disappointed and had to take my business elsewhere for lunch because the only other gluten free option on their menu is a salad.

This Sonic is ALWAYS busy… and they ALWAYS have a smile on their face and provide great service! The food and prices are reasonable too. Plenty of stalls to park at and even room for parking and enjoying their picnic area (including water mist fans to cool down).

Just ordered a hamburger and by the taste and warmth of it I believe it had been premade and sitting there waiting for a while. My other complaint has to do w/​a mini mocha Java Chiller. I visit sonic for one of these almost every day since 2013. Some days it’s no problem other days I get someone who says you don’t have this. I never been told Sonic doesn’t have this drink at other Sonics except the Grapevine location on northwest highway. I would love to show the manager here all the posts I have in my mint program shoeing posts for amounts and when I’ve been here. Why 2013? That’s as far back as it goes. Good is ifie but Nichole Java chillers (w/​coffee) r good but make up your mind.

My son went to sonic about 2 months ago to get our Saturday morning breakfast, his mom asked for a grilled cheese sandwich and mozzarella sticks, he brings our food back and much to our surprise her grilled cheese had five Mozzarella sticks in it as well as the American cheese. We were blown away! Why on earth would they do that? I love the breakfast burritos that the sonic in Denton on hwy 380 near Malone street makes, they are always perfect and made the same way evert time I go there, but not the grapevine location, they are always slopped together, always a different size, be it long and narrow with very little ingredients or short and stubby looking like a kids mini burrito, very disappointing to say the least, especially when you’re spoiled by the Denton location that I’ve eaten at a zillion times because I’ll stop there on my way to work.
So today we decided to give the grapevine location another try, BIG MISTAKE! NO, A HUGE MISTAKE!
The same guy that took our order the last time took it again today! We gave him the order, one #15 with an ultimate burrito, tots and a rt 44 purple O, then another #15 with a steak, egg and cheese burrito and a RT 44 dr pepper. We get the food and head home, we set the table to eat, pulled out on ultimate burrito for my son and I reach in for my Steak burrito only to pull out another ultimate burrito! This is crazy! I called and talked to Scott who was nice enough to listen to me complain about the mozzarella grilled cheese from our last and the problem with today’s visit. I also suggested to Scott that if the Hispanic gentleman who took our order has s hard time understanding English then he might be better suited sweeping the parking lot.

Review here because it’s the nicest, cleanest, best service Sonic I currently know of. Been that way for years. Can get pretty packed during meal times, and during the happy hour drink special time. This location is close to a work area, so I go to this one on occasion.
Food has always been good, no problems there. Comes out pretty quick, and the carhops are always pretty well on the ball.
They have a nice outside sitting/​walk up area, where you can order and eat outside, or walk up and get something to go. Never have a problem going here to grab something quick.

I stopped by on my way from the doctor to pick up some breaky. The food was almost cold and the tots were luke warm at best. I realize it’s sonic and I shouldn’t have high expectations, but there are so many locations that strive to provide fresh food that this place was a let down.
Otherwise, the service was quick, again because it was pre-​made. Also, the girls on the inside working were obviously bored as one went back and forth from balancing a straw on her nose to what appeared to be crawling on the floor doing planks or something. She didn’t touch my food so I wasn’t that bothered by her awkwardness.
All that said, not a great experience and given the choice probably won’t be back.

The very BEST SONIC in the area! Great Service, The Burgers are cooked on a well seasoned grill, taste better than any Sonic burger I have ever had, Soda is blended perfectly with just the right amount of Ice, They even have dog treats for any dog along for the ride whether you live here or from out of town This Sonic is a must for a good old fashion trip to a drive in burger place!!!

I’m not really a Sonic lover, but I must say that this one out here in Grapevine is a lot better than Dallas. I ordered some breakfast. Fiesta Burrito. The only thing that made it spicy was a package of sauce which really didn’t taste too good. Sonic, I say stick with what you know, hot dogs, corn dogs, burgers, drinks, and fries. Leave the burritos alone. Keep in mind I know you can’t possibly please everyone all of the time.

My daughter was the only one to have a jr hamburger and two hours later the only one to have food poisoning.

The food is always cooked right at this Sonic location. Friendly wait staff with quick service. They even have really clean bathrooms. Probably my favorite and cleanest Sonic to go to.

I spend About 500‑1000 here each month for staff treats, gift cards for clients, etc. I found out today that my favorite waitress, Maria, was let go. She knew my name, my dogs names, exactly how I liked my vanilla diet coke, yelled hi when I pull in from wherever she was, etc etc etc. She had been there eight years. You cant tell me she wAs fired for any good reason. I won’t be going anymore. I’ll use the one at Davis and 1709 out of my way and I’ll tell all my friends to do the same!

I go here about once a week and have no complaints. They get my order right, every time. Even when it’s tricky. Some of the car hops roller skate which is a nice touch. It kind of makes you want to own a Sonic. How fun would that be? The car hops never get annoyed when they have to back inside to get me a ranch or a salsa packet.
This particular location is very philanthropic and always has the various schools out doing fund raisers here.
I always tip the car hops, so I always make sure I have cash on me, and I usually pay with my debit card. The credit card/​debit machines at the order board are very convenient.
