Loved the atmosphere. The veranda was great for easy conversation and people watching down below.

Really? I go on a Sunday afternoon and the guy acts likes he’s mad because from our 1st wine to our 2nd wine we go from a white to a red and they want you to use the same glass. They tried to pour into our same glass on EVERY glass on our wine tasting. After telling them I wanted new glasses on each wine, which is normal by the way, they drastically reduced the pour on the next 4 tastings. Maybe these 2 guys need to quit drinking the wine and learn how to serve it. I can’t believe this place ever gets repeat business!!!

Excellent experience at Messina Hof. We shared a sampler at the bar(no chairs) and then got glasses of wine and went to the outdoor patio. It was fantastic. The wine was all very good, but somehow we fell in love with the sparkling rose. The employees are super helpful and very friendly. They told me more about each wine than I could ever comprehend. As others have stated, the sampler is $ 10 for 5 samples. Wine glasses are generally $ 7 – 9. Bottles looked mostly around $ 25 – 30. Obviously some are more! Enjoy.

Wine: Probably one of the top texas wineries offers tastings and growler fills but only in their growlers. Tasting: Nice pours with 2+ ounces, average price on glasses, $ 10 tasting of 5 varietals ‚$ 30+ for a liter growler fill Service: really good service very attentive and knowledgeable about the wines etc, ask for Michael davis Atmosphere: inviting with many people having a good time, alot of space but not much seating. Nice place to take a date. You probably won’t find much riff raff or rowdy people here. Went in winter but I believe they do have a nice patio The atmosphere wouldn’t necessarily bring me back, its really not that memorable or inviting enough.

The staff here couldn’t be nicer. I came by on a rainy day with my parents based on a recommendation from my sister. Tastings are $ 10 for 5 tokens. Most of the wines are 1 token to taste. Some are 2 tokens. Messina Hof offers a wide section of whites and reds and sparkling wines. Messina Hof gets its name from the heritage of the couple that owns the winery(one who is Sicilian and one who is German). Some of my favorite wines here included the reserve cab, the tempranillo, and the sparkling rose. All the grapes are grown in Texas. Our server told us that Messina Hof is the only winery in Grapevine that is able to say that. You can taste both upstairs and downstairs. While we were there we watched a football game while sipping our wine and enjoying the ambience of the place. There are also cheese boards and desserts available for those who want something to eat. We order one of the boards and it was perfect to split between three people.

We tried several wineries before, and by far this is the best one!!! Ask for Patty or Juan. They are the best!!!

The wine is good and the space is very beautiful. However it has a terrible smell upstairs. It smelled like an old musty basement. I am an asthmatic and sadly had to leave due to the smell.

Best winery on Main Street. Old feel on the inside that’s a step back in time. Barrel tables and an intimate seating area with live piano and singing. The wine they make here is excellent. I buy it at Central Market Iover other international wines. They’re open late and it turns into a real party some weekends. 1 star off for the small choice of food pairings with the wine. They could amp up the cheese tray considering that’s almost all they offer!

This is my all time favorite winery. As an Aggie, I HAVE to support the Bryan/College Station originated business! The wine is actually very good, widely available(in Texas at least) and reasonably priced. The Grapevine location is well located and the people there are great.

I enjoyed the wine tasting. They have a good selection and I could’ve left with the entire store. Lol the only problem is the customer service. I think it’s rather rude to make eye contact with customers and not greet them, help them, or anything. Simply saying«I’ll be right with you» is fine. Sadly, we had to follow other people who were greeted to have the wine tasting. Not sure what that’s about…

My wife and daughter went to Grapevine for lunch and decided to have a wine tasting after our meal and walking around. The charge was $ 10 per person for five selections(a little pricey but I get it, it’s a tourist area). We pay and drink and generally have a good time. The server was a bit condescending(we are talking Texas blends here…) but having been in tastings in California, Germany, and France I simply passed it off as someone trying to impress us … So we catch him off guard when we buy six bottles of wine and then he becomes our best friends. Only after when I check my receipt did I notice he charged us twice for the tastings … my mistake for not paying closer attention but says volumes about the business and its ethics. So lesson learned, always check the bill. And the next time we are in Grapevine we will try another tasting location.

Wonderful tasting room in a recreation of a 19th century hotel! If you like sweet wines, I recommend Sweet Justice and the Orange Muscat. Delicious cheese and hummus boards! I can’t wait to go back!

Did not allow me to vape inside. Consider having your events elsewhere out of consideration for your guests. Response to mgmt: Smoking cigarettes and vaping are literally two different processes. ENTIRELY different. The fact that you treat them equally displays your ignorance. As an intelligent professional, I KNOW the difference whereas you acknowledged your lack of knowledge, understanding and research of vaping. Your ban on vaping is analogous to creating a law based on superstition as there is no real proof that it harms anyone.

This tasting room is located inside a beautiful vintage hotel on the main stretch of downtown grapevine. For $ 10 you get 5 tastings and the glass. They have a great variety to choose from, all of which is grown in Texas. Mark served us, and his knowledge of the wines was fantastic. He was talkative, without being too talkative. We’ve tasted at multiple places in Grapevine and this might be my favorite. Check out their pairings on Wednesday night for $ 20(suggest calling ahead), and their classes on Monday night(blind taste testing and mixing your own wine.

This is a great winery! Friendly and helpful staff who really know their wine, great selection of accompanying munchies, and magnificent TX wine! My favorite was the Shiraz but close second was the Cabernet which was bold and would be great with hearty/rich. They are also participants in the TX wine trail, so you can get your passport stamped here, and there is a cool app where it can all be done from, to which one of the staff members were kind enough to help me out with. My only negative is that there are not seats at the bar, so if you are doing a flight or a tasting, you have to stand. If you get a glass or bottle you can sit in the lounge area, which my friend and I did after doing a flight. Yet, I had actually come in to the establishment a few weeks prior with my family, including my 80 yr old mother, and we left once they told us about the seating arrangement. It is not comfortable for my mom to stand while doing a tasting, which is usually done at a leisurely pace, so we went around the corner to a different winery.

What a great winery! Grapevine is such a cute little town in Dallas Texas. We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and did a tasting, five wines for $ 10. The place is inside the old tourism center which was modeled after an old hotel. There is art on the walls from local artists in the area. Messina Hof also works with artists to create the labels for their wine bottles. The wine room attendants were very friendly and a great resource for explaining the different wines. My favorite was the Shiraz. They are open late on Sunday’s which is great, unfortunately the rest of the town seems to close early on Sundays.

My wife and I liked their wine so much we became wine club members on our 3 day weekend Staycation/Anniversary celebration back in January. The location is very nice. Has this old 2 story plantation vibe that is very charming. The staff is so nice. And the wines? Delicious. $ 10 for 5 tastings is good deal in my book. My wife and I attended our first wine club party last month and that was fun. Met some nice folks there. You get free tastings of other wines. You also get to play«guess the mystery wines» and win a gift package. That was fun. I didn’t win. But, having the winery close by is a great perk. We can go by anytime. They have 2 other locations but aren’t local. Can’t wait to visit the one in Bryan Texas. They have a restaurant in that location apparently from their photos on a brochure I saw. We visited other little wineries in Grapevine during the weekend but this one stood out from the others. Come see why.
