Great service, very friendly, knowledgeable and reasonable prices I brought my bike in for brake service at lunch on Tuesday and it was ready by lunch the next day! That’s extraordinary. It usually takes at least a week to 2 weeks at other shops in the area. I live in Carrollton but will drive there from now on based upon their friendly service.

I buy exclusively from mad Duck regardless of what bikes they carry. They aren’t back slapping, car selling types and some people mistake that as indifference. Nothing is further from the truth. What they are is considerate and low pressure with the best service department on the planet.

Clarence and his guys are the best! Clarence took a great deal of time to put together a bike that was just right for me for what I wanted and needed without trying to sell upsell me. From what I have observed after being his in shop on many occasions is he takes his time with customers and develops long-standing relationships with them, ensuring that we come back often and bring our friends, kids, neighbors, etc. I really like that he’s not just about making the initial sale, but rather dedicated to the sport and establishing long-term relationships with the riders and the community.

Best shop in the Metroplex. I have been riding over 5 years now and thats because these pro’s know all about great service, I ride centuries and they always service my bike. Who doesn’t want the best cycling experience & service that only Mad Duck provides? Go with the Best or stay home.

Excellent customer service. I’ve bought two bikes here. They never tried to up-sell me. The owners are very involved and helpful. Even though it’s been a few years since I bought the bikes, they still treat me just as well as when I was looking to buy one.

Went in for a rear hub repack not knowing of the internal explosion that had occurred(hoping that wasn’t the case). Got a new hub, Stans 3.30, re-laced, new split tube installed and out of the door at a very reasonable price and time frame. The mechanic was rad and the younger gentleman that helped me was kitted to ride but stuck around to make sure I was taken care of. Great job, thanks.

The owners are extremely nice and very helpful and kind. Have gone in there many times for bike parts, questions, advice and to order parts without ever a problem. Owners are very patient and friendly. Would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.

My wife was looking to buy a Linus bike and Mad Duck was the closest dealer to us of that particular brand.(about 26 miles, 30 min drive) The Head of Sales Clarence was closing out a sale with a customer as we waited patiantly for his attention. His time with the customer became more social chit chat and less business as the sale was completed. I despise poor customer service, but I am from NYC which runs a mile a minute so I tried to give some consideration that people just arent in such a rush out here in Texas. After waiting patiently Clarence finally was prepaired to help us with our questions about the Linus bike. He allowed my wife and step daughter to ride out side in the parking lot to get a feel for the bike. He seemed pleasent and helpful and I put aside the initial lack of attention and service I felt when I first arrived. We told him we were interested in the bike and wanted to order it. I asked at that time if they delivered being we drive a sadan with no bike rack and live almost 30 miles away in Plano, TX. He says, «Plano?» thinks about it for a half a second and responds, «Yeah we can do that. Its no problem» So I order the bike over the phone a few days later.(I believe a Wednsday) He says the bike might come in Friday but more than likely next tuesday it will be in. Tuesday comes and I call in the earily part of the afternoon. Clarance answers and tells me the bike just got off the truck and they would put it together and ship it out the following morning. Then asked, «is that cool?» I assure him that would be perfect and I wait with anticipation for the bike. Wednesday morning comes around no bike… no call. Wednesday afternoon comes… no bike… no call. I call Wednesday evening(an hour before they close) and I get a voice mail. I try back in 10 minutes, get another voicemail. I leave a clear message detailing my name number and that Ive been waiting all day for this bike. The next day. No return call, nor explanation of what happened to my delivery. I call in the early afternoon, and I get Clarance again. No explanation just another promise to deliver the bike that afternoon once their intern/employee gets out of school. I wait the rest of the afternoon and evening waiting for the bike to be delivered. No bike… no call. I decide to call around 6 to see if everything is ok. No answer, just voice mail. I call back 3 more times. No answer, just voicemail. Its now Friday and I have yet to receive one call from Clarance with an apology or explanation as to why my wife’s bike wasnt delivered even though he said it would be on two occasions. I also called yet again and yet again… voicemail. Does this place know how to answer a phone? Can they be any worst at doing business? These guys might know about bikes and give great attention to questions and pair you with the perfect bike for you. But when it comes to common decency, and correcting a wrong on their part, they are horrible. I only wish I could get in touch with them so I could get my money refunded to my card and let them keep the bike and sale it in their store. Cause I dont want anything to do with them. Unfortunately as I write this review I am still bikless and out of $ 460 bucks. So I get a call from one of the guys delevering the bike, and he is literally at the front door. I never told these guys I would even be home today. Actually I just got home not long before the bike arived, so lucky for me I was home or else they would have been trucking the bike 30miles back west toward Grapevine. Then when I expressed I wasnt expecting the bike today, I was met with a nervous laugh and a very casual, «Sorry bout that.» There was no true sign of remorse for the lack of poor professionalism shown to me over the last week. My review remains a 1 star! It would be 0 stars if that option existed.

After competing in two sprint triathlons on a heavy hybrid bike and watching everyone and their grandmas pass me on the bike portion, I decided I wanted a road bike. Mad Duck was my second stop, and the personalized service won me over right away. At the first store I went to, they asked my height and recommended a bike. At Mad Duck, Clarence took several measurements, made a recommendation, let me ride around the parking lot, and checked the measurements on a different model when I asked. I paid Mad Duck a second visit when I decided to place an order, and brought my three-year-old daughter with me. The staff was extremely accommodating and kind to her, talking to her and letting her play with the toy ducks they have lined up in the window. The canine manager, Chuy, is also extra sweet. When it came time to pick up my new bike, Clarence adjusted it to fit me perfectly and answered my questions. One of the staff showed me how to use a CO2 cartridge when I expressed some concern about being able to use one. I’m very new to road cycling and I felt confident that the folks at Mad Duck were willing to answer all my questions and cared about helping me to get started. The personal attention I received and the knowledge and friendliness of the staff will make this my first stop for my cycling needs in the future.

Clarence and his team are all great guys that ride as well. I bought my first bike from them as a result of the attention provided from being fitted to answering all my stupid questions. I havent experienced this level of C/S anywhere in the metroplex when dealing with bike shops.

I know NOTHING about bikes, but I am planning to train for a 100 mile ride in September. I went in to Mad Duck and they measured me and told me what to expect when purchasing a bike! Very helpful!
