If you’re looking for good Mexican food with friendly service, this is a great place. It’s not a fancy chain, but the food is delicious and the service is wonderful. The charro beans that come with your meal are delicious. Guacamole was good, salsa delicious, my husband said the salsa picosa was also very good. I had the special, enchiladas verdes, and they were so good. Also, if you like hot, order some chiles torreados… grilled jalapeños…they are also delicious. Enjoyed the murals on the walls and visiting with the staff also. We will be back!

One of my favorite spots. A free beer and bean soup with a meal. The Enchiladas and Burro Grande are my favorites.

Chips and salsa upon arrival. Tasty and crunchy. I had a margarita which was refreshing but on the sweeter side. The guacamole was good. I ordered a chicken entrée which came with bean soup. I really enjoyed the bean soup, surprised me but the spice combo was delicious. The chicken was well prepared, tender and moist but everything on the plate was dreary looking. I expected more colorful as it was with peppers and mushrooms, but I really didn’t need more beans or the rice. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. They were quite busy and yet I felt the service was terrific. The food was provided in a timely manner and nobody seemed to be rushing me along for the table either.

The best Mexican food ever! The pico was just so right for my Indian taste buds! Had the Shrimp fajita which came sizzling hot was just awesome! Went in based on Unilocal review and was not one bit disappointed and yes we walked in after 3pm and had the whole place just for ourselves so peaceful! The staff was just great!

Some random place my partner and I picked in Grapevine and surprising is a great joint. Very attentive staff and clean environment but an bit expensive tab. Must try: Carne Asada, even comes with a cheesy enchilada and all the goods. Avoid: Their salsa for the chips were a bit spicy but good.

I have been coming here for about 15 years and it is my favorite Mexican restaurant for several reasons: everything in their salsa is fresh! No canned anything in this salsa. I am a cheese enchilada connoisseur and this place has the most delicious ones. Plus, the same owners have been here since the beginning and they always shake your hand and call you«my friends» when you done in.(Hence the name«Los Amigos» I guess) So ya, can’t beat it! Eat here, support them, don’t ever let this place close because I would be devastated. :)

Ever since I moved to Texas I have been a fan of Los Amigos. The salsa is always fresh and has a nice flavor. I typically order the special so I get to try a variety of food. I have never been disappointed in something I have ordered here.

OK do not let the looks from outside or inside turn you away because this place is really good. Yes it is old and a family restaurant showing some wear. Get over it. Service is excellent and food is quite good TEX-MEX. I had Tamales and Fajitas. They were great. Salsa and Chips were top notch and fresh. Very pleased with service, food, and prices, I will go back. Not many tables inside, but you will see a lot of locals coming in and taking food with them

I love this place, best Mexican restaurant in DFW. For breakfast, menudo is so delicious, also the rest of the menu, for lunch and dinner they always serve a small cup of beans, OMG they are the best beans in town. The staff is very helpful and nice, service is fast and excellent!!! I highly recommend this place.

I love this place! Great service, great food, love the chilaquiles, my husband(picky eater) loves the menudo and the salsa is so good, different from other Mexican restaurants, friendly staff they always make you feel welcome, and you have to try the«xango» I think that is how they call them, fried cheese cake topped with strawberries and whipped cream delish, our favorite dessert.

Poor poor poor«Mexican» food. You always know when salsa is bad what the food will be like. And the«queso» was nasty watery cheese sauce. Very low quality, not authentic. Left most food at the table.

I was very disappointed with the food and service. For a 4 star reviewed restaurant, I expected at least some of the food to be better than average, but none was. Chips were somewhat stale, salsa was minimally spiced, the taco shell was moist, worst chicken enchiladas I have had and they were extremely salty. On top of bad food, the waiter was not prompt. Half of the food arrived in 20 minutes and the rest arrived in 30. The waiter did not apologize even though he forgot to bring out tortillas with the fajitas(a necessity). The free margarita that one receives with meals after 5 pm on Friday or Saturday was«ok.» It tasted like it was from a pre packaged mix. To sum up, bland food, ok prices, bored/uncaring wait staff. I would not suggest it.

I’ll be honest, I love Mexican food, but I tend to avoid it for personal reasons. I have no self control. You put endless chips and salsa in front of me and I just cant stop eating. «More chips? Sí!» Add in free beer(or margaritas on the weekend — see photo — ), and it’s a recipe for a dietary disaster(at least for me). That being said, the food here is very good. Salsa is very fresh tasting, not quite hot(as in spicy, the salsa is cold, the way I like it) enough for my preference, but OK. Maybe they have a hotter option? Most places do. I forgot to ask. Decent lunch specials too, and available on weekends. Lunch special and a free beer makes for a very nice meal. Service is always very good. Friendly and helpful staff. Several TVs too if you are trying to keep an eye on a game. Bottom line: Good choice for Mexican in Grapevine. Close to all the shops too!

Great value for the price! I already liked this hole in the wall place when I walked in and saw the pretty mural and décor, moody lanterns and heard the Latin music playing! The staff greeted my party with«Hello, my friend!» I I thought I was already impressed until I became more so after seeing the sign that says«free beer or margarita(on the rocks)» with meal on Fridays and Saturdays after 5pm! And then later I found out you get free bean soup with your chips and salsa! Amazing! Chips were hot, salsa was tasty, the«cancun» combo with a tamale, a cheese enchilada & meat sauce, and a bean chalupa for about $ 8.29! Meat sauce was a little salty but he cheese sauce was amazeballs! I’d come back! Good deals! Food was 4⁄6 stars but for the value, it’s a great place for groups!

Bland is the first word that comes to mind. I’d say this is a gringo tex-mex stop for sure. It’s not bad per se, just nothing had anything memorable to it unfortunately for me. The best part of the meal that was anything close to really good were the charro beans served before the meal. Quite tasty actually. The salsa served with the chips was pretty much tomato and onion… not spicy at all. Rice with the meal didn’t have many spices I could pick up. Refried beans had a small amount of cheese over them which helped them out a bit. My 2 fajita tacos were in purchased(read non hand made) flour tortillas. The sliced up skirt steak and grilled onions were tender at least. I had to add a little salt to make it slightly more exciting. They do serve ice cold Pineapple Fanta though… that was nice. I dunno, not really a bad place. but don’t think I’d bother making a second visit. Fajitas are usually the all-star of the Mexican menu and these didn’t quite impress. I will say that I got out of there for a few cents over $ 10, so the value is outstanding!

We stopped by for a quick Breakfast/lunch on a Sunday morning just as church let out. This small 15 table restaurant was packed. My favorite thing to see when I try a new restaurant. We only had a to wait a few minutes before we sat. I immediately liked the feel of this place and the hostess made us feel very welcome. We ordered breakfast and got the chilaquiles, egg and bacon quesadillas and a couple of breakfast burritos. It didn’t take long for the food to come out and it was delicious. This restaurant got 5 stars because the service was awesome. I am looking forward to returning to try the rest of their menu.
